Just to finish beating a dead horse...  :badhorse:

Here is 11571 Ohio Ave. Lower right hand corner is my guess as to the origin of the picture. Neobie, can you start a fake clue map?

If the exif data is accurate, it was taken about an hour ago with a 3G iPhone outside of 11571 Ohio ave., Los Angeles.

An amateurish attempt to fake a sighting - but they went to a fair amount of work to set this up - like Steven Cohen of Masada did last season.

I would suggest we look for more fakes coming from Zach Savage's followers on Twitter.

BAsed on the usefullness of Twitter, I would expect that we will see more misdirection, so as always, things (tweets/twitters/blogs) should be taken with a grain of salt.

Good job everyone! :jumpy:

Could we ever stop beating the dead horses? :badhorse:

Such a long shadow, at noon in Lima? Sun's at 80° in the sky, plus it's currently overcast with 90% cloud cover. (Compare that to Los Angeles' 22° high sun and clear skies with 15% cloud cover...)

So we've got exif evidence, shadow evidence and clue shape/size evidence. These fakers have got to step up their game!

Could be a different version.

US teams were in Santiago and Valparaiso, Chile on the 29th.

If the season started on the 28th, and they were in Chile first, there is no possible way that they were also in B.A. on the 29th. So FAKE.

Peking Express was also spotted a few weeks ago in Chile, not sure how that show works exactly but its similar to TAR.

Why is it called Peking Express if they haven't visited China in the last 2 seasons?

he theme of the show is to demonstrate how various couples deal with the challenges and pitfalls of attempting a long-distance hitchhike to a strange city, together with all the difficulties presented by trying to communicate in a language they don't understand. Tension was added by including couples who had broken up "in real life", but were willing to work together for the sake of winning the race.

In somewhat similar fashion to The Amazing Race, couples that come in last at various checkpoints along the way are eliminated from further competition. In the second series, each of the couples was given €1 per person/per day as their stipend along the route.

Google Translate has a "detect language" selection in the drop-down box if you're not sure; in this case, it's "very good" in Portuguese.
