So, on August 18th to 20th I went to Bandung and visited two locations on TAR23 Bandung leg.

I arrived on Bandung Train Station where teams received the Detour clue on Leg 9:

Then, I visited Curug Cimahi, the Pit Stop on Leg 10. What I didn't realized when I watched the airing was that teams actually had to go down 587 STEPS to reach the Pit Stop on the waterfall and there is no shortcut whatsoever... So, when they're going up after that, they had to climb the 587 STEPS again. :iok

After that, I went to Tangkuban Parahu Volcano (Leg 10), passed by Kawah Domas Crater entrance (the egg boiling Roadblock)

and visited the Kawah Ratu Crater (where teams received the Detour clue on Leg 10)

Glad you had fun in Bandung, Kam!
And 1174+ steps?! :o Curug Cimahi would be a great place to do a workout regimen. It's easy to say climbing down the stairs would be no sweat while watching from home, but I definitely eat my words when I see or hear about the actual magnitude of a place.

It has been 10 years since my only trip to Paris.

I did visit the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and I must have passed Square Louise-Michel. The Arc de Triomphe was sadly closed for renovations at the time. And I definitely visited the Eiffel Tower.

After two weeks of intense contemplating, a talk with a travel agent, and a few social lunch breaks sacrificed in finding the perfect getaway, I am enthused to announce that I will be taking my first ever international vacation in early August! I am excited to announce that I will be visiting as many Race locations in the nearby proximity and trying to immerse myself within the environment while touring the area! My 10-day "expedition" in... :nut:

:talk I cannot wait to show you about my journey once I return home (and get rid of the complementary jet lag).

Two places from the last Buenos Aires legs from TAR27 and TARCAN3:

The end point of the Detour option "Fletero":

And the Totem on Plaza Canada, the first route marker of the leg.

I am back from vacation in Taipei, Taiwan! I missed my connection flight due to a delay at baggage claim and long lines at customs and TSA. I had to wait until the following day to get back on a plane toward Chicago. Slept okay at the San Francisco Airport. :iok Jet lagged like crazy still.

I will be posting about the excitement of visiting some TAR locations (and possibly extra vacation photos) tomorrow! :waves:

Got a couple during my years living in Alberta. Sorry for the quality, I only had a crappy disposable back then :P

From TAR Australia 2 - Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, the Leg 10 Pit Stop (also a deleted task in the US5 finale)

From TAR Canada 1 - The Red Deer River badlands, site of the majority of Leg 3 (though this is Dinosaur Provincial Park. I never got to Drumheller, that's a bit upstream).
