On Monday I shall go on a six day trip to Copenhagen and Berlin  :conf:

Im actually staying in the Park Inn Alexanderplatz which is the building teams jumped off of in S22 and I hope to also do the jump aha. Photos will come :)

1000  :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf:
Cannot wait, BritishTARFan! And don't forget to go to the Ida Davidsen sandwich restaurant in Copenhagen. I've always wanted to taste one of their sandwiches after seeing that episode. Her sandwiches look like sushi - beautifully crafted and rich with flavor. I'll be damned if you didn't go.

Definitely will go! I may not eat the sandwiches featured on TAR however as they didn't appeal to my taste aha. I'm even popping over to Malmö to see the Stortoget.
Fantastic stuff! Are you flying or driving/ferrying between Denmark and Germany? If you are driving, I would definitely visit Hamburg en route to your main attractions.

Most definitely flying, AirBerlin is a steal  :funny:, I'm only away for six days as I just had a week of doing nothing in Turkey.

Well, even if it is my own country, guess I should share a recent TAR Canada location from this current season I've been to :)

Pictures from when I was in the town of Rouleau, Saskatchewan in '07 (site of the Leg 9 Speed Bump/Detour/U-Turn) where the sitcom Corner Gas was filmed. Was fortunate enough to be there on a filming day and passed two of the stars on the street, Lacey (Gabrielle Miller) and Emma (the now-late Janet Wright).

The first two are of the main components of the set, the gas station and Ruby café, the second is looking into the gas station window. These were torn down last fall, a while after the Corner Gas Movie (which had Jon Montgomery in a 1-minute cameo) finished. The race was about 6 months too late.

One month ago I embarked on a little trip to explore more of my little continent. I'm late posting aha but these places are so Gorgeous I couldn't recommend them enough as well as Stockholm which you must see!!!

Let's go to Berlin, Germany & Copenhagen, Denmark!!!!!!

I started off from London Heathrow landing into Berlin Tegel at 10:00am, We then proceeded to Alexanderplatz where we were staying in the wonderful Park Inn which is where teams in S22 had to Base fly, I wish I could've participated but unfortunetly I didn't have enough time  :chute:

After checking in we proceeded by the cute yellow trains of the Berlin U-Bahn to Zoological Garten station which is where Adam & Rebeeca had the feud with Jonathen & Victoria. It's also the location of the partially destroyed church and broken chains statue. We then took the S-Bahn on the same route to Warschauer Strasse Station to see the East Side Gallery of the Berlin Wall, which is absolutly stunning. It's amazing to see a symbol of opression being turned into an art project filled with culture.

Also during Berlin I saw the Brandenburg Gate which is absolutly stunning at all times of day, I saw where Victoria picked up the bag aha! I checked off two Pitstops at the Gate and Joachimstrasse!

Just below are photos of Berlin that aren't race related, but you've got to check out the beautiful city aha!, this includes The Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie and the sad but incredibly important Holocaust Memorial.

Next up Copenhagen!

We started our day with Breakfast in Berlin, after landing we had some lunch in Copenhagen, before later that evening having dinner in Malmö, it was an eventful day aha. We decided to visit Malmö so our other two days would be all Copenhagen. We crossed the stunning Oresund bridge and explored The Stortoget where the Tar 25 challenge was, It's a really cool city!

In Copenhagen we visited many Amazing Race sights, From s19 we saw the Pitstop from the harbour which was a beuatiful setting, The statue of Hans Christian Anderson as well as The Church of our savior which is really scary at the top due to a low barrier and thin staircase in the open air but the views are breathtaking!

From S25 I saw Ida Davidon's restaurant, which was closed!!  :dick, Sankt Jorgens Alle (Parklet DT), the VM Houses and Det Frankse Conditori (Bike DT) which do amazing pasrries!

I'll show some other Copenhagen sights including the little Mermaid and the Nyhavn which I can't believe they haven't seen before!

I didn't manage to visit every Amazing Race sight but omg I fell in love with these cities especially Copenhagen which is now my number one city in the world just beating Stockholm. You have to go to both if given the oppurtunity and I'm sorry for the overload of posts aha! Hope you enjoyed  :conf:

Funny you mention it, I just re-watched the infamous shoving scene just last night on YouTube

I see Salon Zur Wilden Renate is still operating there in Berlin, the trippy club from 22. Too bad you didn't go there :P

I was flipping through my 2014 photo album and came across some I-predicted-the-future (not really) gems from my visit to San Francisco!

TAR30
AT&T Park - Lovely baseball stadium even though I am a full-on Cubs fan, :lol3:.

The Bay Bridge and its center anchorage
I remember taking this picture while on a light jog along Embarcadero sometime in the afternoon. It was indeed a cloudy day and lightly drizzled, but the marina was surprisingly serene.

Bonus clip! Here is a video I took of my time ON the Bay Bridge traveling into SF after my college pal had to run a quick errand in Oakland. Excuse the mild Blake Shelton song in the background. :giggle:

Been to Iceland. Went to the waterfall they went in season 6 as well as the waterfall cliffs they crossed in30. AS well as the pit stop in 30.

Thailand- Been to chiang mai and stood exactly in front of where they checked in on 30.

China- Been on the bund (shanghai) which theyve shown many times running up and down. And stayed in the same hotel they did in season 19 (showed Ernie and Cindy leaving from the Shangri-La)

America- probably too many too count but the most noticeable is red rocks theater the starting and finishing line of season 9.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge picture has a beautiful contrast with the direct sun rays! :luvya: And the Circular Quay Rail Station background looks so photogenic! Sydney is definitely one of the places I'm considering for my next vacation as well as Cairns and Alice Springs.

That Harbour Bridge photo was taken about  about 3:30pm. Sydney's afternoon sun is quite strong!

Come to Sydney! However, stay at least three days! One day is  certainly not eneoigh!

Took a day trip to New York City.

Visited Soho and all the locations from HaMerotz LaMillion's Soho task.

Went uptown to Big Daddy's and United Palace.

Was also able to finally get a major tick on my TAR bucket list by visiting Bethesda Fountain. Ironically, when walking to the fountain, I accidentally stumbled upon the site of the Big Apple task from HaMerotz LaMillion 6. When I got to the fountain, the TAR geek in me couldn't resist standing where the original 11 teams stood and running up the staircase to where their bags were.

Central Park is truly a jewel in NYC. Among all the skyscrapers and residences, it feels like you are standing in a forestscape. Did you happen to travel to Brooklyn or were you just touring Manhattan?
