I am hoping that we eventually see the episode breakdown.  Because I would assume that the 8pm hour did significantly better.  Probably by a million viewers and .2 in the demo.

Oh and yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they did it at some point in the future.

Hate to say it, but many of us in the eastern and central time zones are getting the late single game on CBS

CBS NFL Game Distribution for 10/4

Here is a bit of interesting info.  The 18 -49 demo with homes having 100,000 K income (non sports)

Tar ranked 9th last week, and was #4 for CBS based on Incom.

Thats not only really great but I am actually really surprised.  Only 3 half hour comedies on CBS did better.

We don't normally get a peak at the income breakdown of demographics.  But the 18-49 (most sought after age demographic) and the Homes over $100,000 (most sought after income demo) are something every show wants to score high on.

I am utterly amazed that we placed so high.  I don't know if that was a fluke.  Strictly due to the Football overrun.  But if that is something TAR does typically well in  it that is a huge, huge plus for our show.

I can't believe that with 4 and a half million more viewers 60 minutes only beat us in the 25-54 demo by .1

If we ever get the 8pm hour breakdown we will easily beat 60 minutes even with a football overrun in every single demographic.

What I hope to see are the DVR plus 7 numbers. I've already seen posters at various fora mention they watched at a time later than Sunday, and if the show was 10.4 million live, it makes one wonder what the later numbers are.

The DVR results (if we get them this season) wont be out until usually two weeks after an episode airs.

Last week I posted how well we did in adults 18-49 who lived in households that made at least $100,000.  And was very surprised how we did.

Well, I have some more info and it shocks the hell out of me.

They have what is called the upscale index (all part of the info that Nielsen provides).  And it has to due with the income level of the household (the higher the index number the better).

Here is the average for the first week of the season for the networks.

NBC  115
ABC  113
CBS  104
Fox    90

a 100 score means you have an average income viewer.  So Fox average below average income for its viewers, while NBC reflects a much higher income level.

They then list the top 20 primetime shows (and this does include sports that air in prime time).

CBS had 4 shows that made the top twenty.

TAR ranked #2 out of all shows (it tied with NBC's Community). with an index rank of 144.  Only NBC's office scored higher with a 159 Index.

The other CBS shows were
60 minutes 140
How I meet your mother 139
Accidentally on Purpose 119

So person per person, TAR audience is the highest income show on CBS, and is the 2nd highest for all of broadcast networks (for at least this first week).

To bad we don't see this data (this is the first time I have seen a top twenty in this type of data).  SO I can't judge how much of this is normal, or how much was from Football.

But I think part of it has to be normal as we out scored Sunday Night Football (which had a 120)

Well Fast Nationals are out.

Yuck for CBS

60 min  12.95 million  2.3 in adults 18-49
TAR 9.95 (not bad) million 2.8 in adults 18-49 (I wanted a little higher) and we were last of all 4 networks)
Three Rivers 9.17 million and a 2.0 in adults 18-49 (Terrible), should be even lower next week.
Cold Case 9.69 million 2.2 in adults.

I could see Cold Case moving back to 9pm.

Finals are out

TAR
9.795 million 2.8 in adults 3.6 in adults 25-54
60 minutes
13.408 million 2.2 in adults  3.1 in adults 25-54
Three Rivers
8.966 million 1.9 in adults 2.6 in adults 25-54 (this show is DOA, it will be pulled in a few weeks).
Cold Case
10.053 million 2.2 in adults 3.1 in adults 25-54

TAR (for CBS) was the highest in adults 18-34 (still haven't got the numbers but it did beat the other shows on CBS), adults 18-49, and adults 25-54.

Canadian ratings for week 2.
Number 1 show on Sunday night!
Surprising since they were up against "Battle of the Blades" - hockey players and figure skaters team up in a "Dancing with the Stars" like competition.

CBS DOMINATES THE WEEK IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS

ONLY CBS Scores Across-the-Board Increases Compared to the Same

CBS Leads Season in all Measures

"Survivor: Samoa" and "The Amazing Race" Notch Largest Audiences of the Season

CBS continued its season-long winning streak, placing first in viewers for the third consecutive week and first in key demographics, winning all categories by the largest margins of any network this season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 11, week three of the 2009-2010 television season.

CBS posted its best deliveries in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since April and was the ONLY network to see year-to-year gains in all key measures. CBS now leads for the season in all key ratings categories.

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in both adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +10% in households, +11% in viewers, +5% in adults 25-54 and +3% in adults 18-49.  CBS was the only network to post gains in all these measures.  Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

For the week in households:  CBS (7.6/13), ABC (5.4/09), NBC (4.8/08) and FOX (3.9/06).  In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.6/13), ahead of ABC (6.4/11), NBC (4.9/08) and FOX (4.5/07).

 CBS's Weekly Highlights:

  CBS's NFL runover from 7:00-7:43PM posted a 15.3/27 with 25.84m viewers, 10.0/28 in adults 25-54 and 9.0/28 in adults 18-49.

 60 MINUTES (7:43-8:43PM) delivered a 9.1/15 with 14.54m viewers, 4.4/11 in adults 25-54 and 3.5/09 in adults 18-49 - all first in the 7:30-8:30PM time slot.

THE AMAZING RACE 15 (8:43-9:43PM) delivered a 6.1/09 in households, 10.52m viewers, 4.0/09 in adults 25-54, 3.2/08 in adults 18-49.   This was a season-high for THE AMAZING RACE 15 in viewers.

One little detail not quoted above:

Quote
20. (24) "The Amazing Race 15," CBS, 10.52 million viewers.

So TAR made it back into the Top 20, after being 24th last week, and IIRC 28th premiere week. That's a good trend line.

In comparing TAR 15 to the earlier seasons, keep in mind that the value of a ratinngs point, i.e., one percent of total households has increased every television year. A ratings point this year represents more households than last year (Sept 08-May 09). and the year before, etc.
