Joe Millionaire
« on: January 15, 2003, 05:01:06 PM »
I just saw the second show of Joe Millionaire.  Oh my god, is this a funny show.  The guy that is pretending to have inherited 50 million dollars looks and sounds like Puddy from Seinfeld.  Does anyone else agree?  I loved the dates he took the girls on.  Before they could drink wine, he made them pick bunches of grapes, I thought the cleaning of the stables was the best before they got on their horses.  And what kind of girl wears spiked heeled fashion boots to ride a horse??  She did not looked thrilled at all.  I missed the first show but I see that Fox will replay the 1st and second show on Thursday of this week.  So I will be tuned in. 8)

Just setting here watching the reruns of the Joe Show, as I like to call it, and man HE IS THE WORST LIAR EVER! It is a good thing that these girls are too excited about the money because he is terrible at lying about his fake life! Anyway, I think the only good show will be the last one when he has to tell the truth! That will be GREAT

;DWell I saw the first show last night and could not beleive what a gold digger and hag Heidi was.  She grabbed two ball gowns to try on and the one she eventually wore looked horrible on her.  Poor Zora was left without a dress and then she was stuck with one that was too small for her.  Someone switched with her and she looked much better.  I think Zora makes a nice match for Evan.  I look forward to the next show.

I went over to the Joe Millionaire site and found that Alex McCleod from Trading Spaces is actually the host here as well.

Do ya'll actually like this show?  I think it kind of stinks the way they are leading these woman to believe this guy is a millionaire.  I feel sorry for Zora because she feels so bad about herself with this guy because she grew up poor and he is supposed to be rich.  The only good thing is he is intrigued by her so he keeps her around.

I wondered last night when they tell the ladies the truth! I wonder if they tell them right after the exit interview or what. I bet the first group to be gone were the happiest! Just think about that.

I absolutely love the show.  I find Evan very funny and honest when he describes things.  I wouldn't feel too sorry for the women on the show, they applied to be on the show.  No one twisted their arms.  They have to realize this is a FOX broadcast and anything goes.  Remember FOX put out Temptation Island (first one was good) and Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, etc.  I still like Zora for Evan even though she blew her date last night.  I look forward to next weeks show.

I'm a sucker for a good train wreck and that's what this show is... I think there is only one of the ladys left that might even be remotely able to forgive him for the lie... I think the rest are there for the money... and the one that might, cannot even open up to him, so I really doubt she will be around much longer...   Should make for an interesting ending...

The site says that their are 7 episodes, so if they show it every week it will end on Feb 17.  Of course there is no telling if they will show it every week or not, but lets say some time around then.

Did anyone catch Joe Millionaire on monday?  It was very interesting.  MOJO was the unlucky one to not receive a ruby necklace.  She certainly freaked me out when she presented Evan with a love poem about finding true love and marriage and then he had to build a puzzle.  The puzzle was a picture of her with a slogan "I Pick you"  What a good way to scare off a guy.  She definitely has an agenda to meet some rich guy and marry him and live some fairytale.  Good god!!!! :o

That's terrible Theresa.  I hope she filled you in on what happened.  If not, I will.  Let's make sure Cindi tapes this coming monday's show for you.  They are down to the 3 girls now.  I saw on Entertainment Tonight that Sarah (blondie) has appeared in bondage movies -- but Sarah admits she wasn't naked in them.   Bizarre or what. :o

Okay heres the scoop Theresa.  Last week's show had Evan taking each one on a different date back at the Chateau.  He took Sarah (big boobs and blond hair) on a bike ride to some vineyard and they did a whole bunch of wine tasting.  They were drunk and got back to the chateau late.  They were smooching during the wine tasting but then they walked into the dark forest and made out or something.  This is only speculation because the camera did not follow them in.  They just put in subtitles like:  slurp, hahahah, shhhh, hmmmm.  So it let you just imagine what they were doing.  :o :o :o

His date with Melissa (dark brown hair and curly, cute looking) was at the chateau.  They were going to prepare dinner together.  Melissa thought is was a joke until he started cooking.  She does not know how to cook.  Evan asked Melissa to make the salad and she was killing the tomato as she was trying to cut it.  He made some pasta dish with overcooked beef.  So when they sat down to eat, she told him it looked like dog ****.  He was not pleased and that was their date.  She mentioned in the voice over that her boyfriends always cooked for her.   :P :o

His date with Zora (tall dark brown hair - reminds me of Demi Moore) was a good one.  He took her horse back riding and she was just beaming.  They had such a good date that when they got back to the chateau they decided to sit in the hot tub since the other 3 girls were out.  Just as they were stripped down to their bathing suits the other 3 came home and invited themselves in also.  So they had Zora wearing a tank top over her bikini and the other girls were practically falling out of their tops.  Zora was so disgusted with their behaviour tht she left.  He is so suited for Zora (she is still in the running)

His date with MOJO (blond that wears hats) draws a blank with me.  I forgot what they did first but the second part of the date was MOJO giving Evan a poem she had wrote before she came to the show.  She read it and it was talking about marriage and finding the right person and then she gave him a present.  It was a puzzle he had to build and it was a picture of MOJO with a big banner that said "I PICK YOU"  He had trouble building the puzzle.  Are you barfing yet?? :-X :-X.  Then she bored him with a photo album of pictures of her and a picture of a cheque for 1 million dollars that she plans on cashing in two years.   :o :oIs this girl insane or what??  So that is the show.  MOJO didn't not receive a ruby necklace.  At the very end of the show, it showed Paul the butler saying he didn't get a ruby necklace but he swiped MOJO's puzzle.  That guy cracks me up with his dry wit. ;D  So I will tune in tomorrow.

Evan and Sarah "really bonded" as Evan said when choosing who stays and who goes. I just had to laugh! Here is why.

Thanks for posting that article about Sarah.  That is hilarious.  How do people find these things.  Who gets the lucky job of researching this stuff?  Did anyone see the show on Monday night?  My tape had run out and I didn't get to see it.  I am so mad at myself.
