I don't think "re-visiting the site of one of the series' most famous Roadblocks" has anything to do with seeing Mel & Mike. If they do see Mel & Mike (which doesn't seem likely at all) I doubt it will be the Switchback.

Mel was there, but pretty sure he was tied up with his own agenda at that time.

Need to check the Timelines to be sure about this...but seems to me we always had a bit of time around Prague...before and after?? ???

Not sure if there is enough time for an extra leg though, but I think the other times are pretty tight.

12 legs, with 12 episodes (counting this Sunday as the first two) re-enforces December 6th for the finale.

Oh CBS, why'd you put up the map? I always had fun guessing where the racers were going next (unfortunately you've got RFF always on your heels).

Surprised at the two pit stops at Dubai (they really should visit Abu Dhabi), but on the other hand, there's a TBC leg at Prague! Excellent! Now if only we could go back to 13 episodes.

Just wondering why are you in a spoiler thread if you are not wanting to know about the spoilers? ???

We have had that route for weeks! CBS just borrowed it from us. :lol3:

But the 2 legs in Prague are listed as Pitstops as well, there is NO mention of a TBC there. Not to say it couldn't be one, but the MAP doesn't say it IS one...unless I missed that.

I found this site last season. It's absolutely amazing; you guys basically stalk the racers.

I reasoned a Prague TBC, since this happened with Beijing last season.

I'm turning more to a Dubai TBC than a Prague TBC for the simple fact that would they actually be repeating a penultimate leg TBC, just a season after TAR14's?

I'm surprised as well that only (as of my count) airport changes from US to US.

LAX -> Tokyo
Tokyo -> HCMC
Phnom Penh -> Dubai
Dubai -> Goringen
Goringen -> Stockholm
Tallinn -> Prague
Prague -> USA

LOL, The map seems rushed. RFF's spoiler map looks more efficient and accurate.

ETA: Whoops! THANKS PEACH!

Minor changes:

LAX to Tokyo

And Stockholm to Talliann is a ferry

Then Taillin to Prague

TAR on a budget!

TAR on a budget!

 :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Better than having no TAR at all. Though the last TAR which did not have budget cut down was TAR12, where 10 countries are visited and one flight almost every single leg <3

• In another first for the show, one of Race’s most infamous Roadblocks is revisited. “It is so crazy and difficult to do, and it was so amazing the last time we did it,” says van Munster. “And it’s just as crazy and amazing this time.”

From the spoilers/sightings/locations thread. In this preview, the Switchback seems like a homage. Does this mean the Switchback is a one-time twist? Or if not, then does this mean we get more recycled tasks in the following seasons?
I'm baaaaaack!

TAR on a budget!

I don't like the airport. Too many opportunities for bunching. Buses and trains are equally efficient, such as in Europe or same country legs.

So, after reading all spoiler pages, can we get them under one roof?
« Reply #711 on: September 25, 2009, 11:53:58 AM »
First time posting and would love to know for sure if I am correct... Feel free to tell me I'm wrong! I can take it! ;D

First Eliminated at GO - Eric & Lisa?
Last three teams to first pit stop- Meghan & Cheyne, Zev and Justin, Keri & Lance?
Final 5 teams-Herb & Nate, Meg & Cheyne, Sam & Dan, Erika & Brian, Gary & Matt?
(Tiff and Mare eliminated F6?)
Final 3 teams-Meg & Cheyne, Erika & Brian, Sam & Dan

Now, what I would like to know is...

Who got the first tickets on the first plane of the first leg...(three times fast  :-* )

The first three to the first pitstop in Tokyo and

What was the transportation last used to the pitstop in tokyo (besides their legs  :snicker:)

Im not playing any games Lucy, I assumed you were looking for answers for a game.

The teams walked to the pitstop
I don't think we know who got the first tickets out?
Your guess is as good as mine who the first 3 to the pitstop where, I'd guess the Globetrotters and Marcy and Ron did well. Go read through the EP1/2 thread and see what our astute members have come up with  :tup:

Hope this helps Lucy, Tiffany & Maria claim the first tickets?

I think I'm going to like the poker players since there's an Asian-American woman on the team!  And of course, I want an all-female team to win!

Belle Book

They are already doing well.  In the shot of them at the AA checkin they already have their tix and are just hanging around.  They must have arrived on an earlier shuttle.  It's already been said but I'll chime in too:  they are good with numbers and mental challenges.  They were probably the 1st team out of the challenge at the startline.   ;)

NOW IT'S OFFICIAL: BVM has lost his mind. :res: :meow: :duno: :groan:

His reliability has reached a new low. Soon we'll just have to pretend he isn't talking at all. :groan: :funny:

« Reply #722 on: October 27, 2009, 07:48:57 PM »
I bet Maria's going to do the roadblock. Just like the female team before them, that will be their downfall.  :'(

It's a pretty safe bet that both Maria and Ericka will be doing the ROADBLOCK on the next leg. The ROADLBOCK BALANCE principle is enforced by WRP, so teams out of balance must move toward it or not have choices toward the end of the race on who will do a ROADBLOCK. Here is the current tally:

Tiffany 4 Maria 2
Ericka 2 Brian 4
Sam 3 Dan 3
Gary 3 Matt 3
Nate 3 Herb 3
Meghan 2 Cheyne 3 (due to their Fast Forward avoiding a ROADBLOCK in Dubai I)

It's optional for Meghan and Cheyne, but I expect that Meghan will take the next one unless it is heavy-duty (which a bell tower is not).

IIRC, there was something in the Tallinn sightings about Brian/Ericka being far behind. Maybe they get bad luck at the haybales and end up leaving last, a la Adam/Rebecca every leg?

Even if this is so, I will wager that the at the beginning of the final leg, leaving from Prague airport, all teams will have been equalized by Bunching. As long as they do not get truly "too far behind" it will be OK.

My recollection of the ferry schedule is that it is once a day from Stockholm to Tallinn. If so, I hope that Brian/Ericka make that ferry because if they don't the only non-airplane alternative is via ferry to Helsinki and connecting there to a 2 hour ferry to Tallinn. I remember this as being 5 to 6 hours later in arriving at Tallinn. Depending on hours of operation, that may or may not cause them to get way further behind.
