I've tried to find where the picnic table webcam is but I'm not having luck.  Any ideas?

Here is the layout as best as I can tell:  (opps, Slowhatch beat me to it!)

Go to entry #587 above and click on the map link; pan the camera to the upper left and you will see that
just to the left of the white water rafting site is the famous TROJA PALACE one of the most striking summer palaces in Prague. (I sent a picture to Puddin)  It is completely surrounded by a gated wall so it would make an ideal spot for the final mat after the rafting gig.  It is in walking distance.  The palace features a wonderful wine celler (they have their own vineyards) and one part of the garden is a maze - a wonderful spot for the mat, teams would have to find their way there to meet Phil!  Get lost in the maze and you get Philiminatecd!!

So the only teams confirmed for the final 4 are: The pink haired guy/father and the random blue couple?

We have 5-6 hours worth of screengrabs , probably 200 or more and will try to figure out how to get them all up .. maybe a slide show so you all could see how it unfolded. Sadly as mentioned by peach, the webcam was on a 2 minute delay and this is most likely why we did not see all teams

We're sure we missed a team right before this frame ..as Chateau has pointed out

They're looking up at the Astronomical clock.
I should have been recording this - http://praguewebcam.com/ - all day...

I looked up the clock tower the crew appears to be filming. By climbing to the top, you can witness is a majestic view of the city. This might be one of those "find the next clue from above" tasks.

Or maybe there's a task involving waiting until th clock hits the hour and they have to watch a random "cuckoo-like" display.

My take is they are filming for intro flashs or opening scenes of Prague for that leg? Phil .." this is the Historic Prague .....the whatever leg of the race.."

I agree with puddin.  If you look at the time lapse webcam shots, it is really crowded there.  I think they would avoid the crowds, or we'd be seeing pictures all over the web.

you got a point, that place in Prague is always stuffed with Japanese tourists loaded with super expensive cameras

Blog info from one of our Prague kayakers (friend of the last guy we got info from):

06 August 2009

Over the past few days at Prague there has been heaps of people buzzing around setting up this massive rigging system over the course. First thoughts from the team were they were setting up power lines, then a big screen. As it took more shape and the removal of slalom gates at the top part of the course it was clear, a rope climb above the course for ‘The Amazing Race’. Turns out the show was filming here all day today. I had a few chats to the rigging guys and what a life they live, cruising the world to amazing places to film people! I apparently was filmed while doing my session as they were packing up the ropes etc, but wont know I guess until it comes out on TV.. One good way to get you to watch the show….

Nice! Fond memories of our Dubrovnik rigging...

All to move the camera guys around? Or something else too?

I told you they were some sort of gates peach! Thanks graytex!

So lets see if this works
Ignore the May 19th date ..it was a default folder setting I guess and am too lazy too fix it
The only pics I did not grab were very few in the time lapse as their was no activity
I was doing BB updates at the time so some screencaps slipped in , lol
Some might be duplicates ..
It was fun watching as it unfolded and talking to peach on the phone the whole time .. and so sorry for dropping the F Bomb numerous times peach
:hfive: to the TAR Detectives  :jam:

Here are some images I captured from the Charles Bridge webcam around 01:30am eastern time (07:30 Prague).
I thought they might be construction crew setting up, but the crane could be for a camera. They were gone by 13:00.
I wish I had thought to record this webcam last night. :'(

They have rigged cables over the rapids to film the kayaks come at them from above; just like the camera setups ESPN has over the field for Sunday Night Football.  You can see the suspended camera very well in the shot from 10:34

Also probably just background shots of Prague; The Old Town Square is the tourist center of Prague, so do not expect any TAR activity there unless it is in the wee hours of the morning.  Many wonderful buildings around the square including the Old Town Hall (which the crew is taping) with its Astronomical Clock (actually around the corner from the square) also Golz-Kinsky Palace, Church of St. Nicholas, Church of Our Lady before Tyn and many fine Guild Houses.
