The TAR Detective team has excellent reason to believe that the Finale Leg will take place in or near Las Vegas today! There may be tasks in the desert as well.

I hope they end with a bang (Las Vegas is a luxurious place to begin with), like a poker-ish final task with TAR game cards waiting to be UNO cards sold by the end of the season  :lol3: Just hoping!

Peach,

You aren't exactly play8ing straight up with us. Delta Flight 1093 codeshare AF9006 is a flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas this evening:

Departure Status Details

Airport:    (ATL) Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

City:    Atlanta, GA, US
Scheduled:    7:20 PM - Fri Aug 07, 2009
Estimated:    7:50 PM - Fri Aug 07, 2009 (runway)

Airport:    (LAS) McCarran International Airport

City:    Las Vegas, NV, US
Scheduled:    8:37 PM - Fri Aug 07, 2009
Estimated:    8:33 PM - Fri Aug 07, 2009 (runway)

This obviously suggests a Europe to U.S. flight, such as Paris to Atlanta, preceding it. May I suggest that one of the following will suffice:

DL29 0900 1245
AF682 codeshare Delta 8504  1040 1400
but most likely DL21 codeshare AF8998 1330 1720

There may in fact be another preceding flight, such as Prague to Paris. This could be:

OK758 codeshare 4901 0715 0905 or it might be QS1034 0600 0745

Hmmmm, now how would Peach get a picture of a flight that leaves tonight?
Unless of course the flight was last night... :groan:

walkingpneumonia,

It leaves 7 nights a week from ATL to LAS and has a low 30% on-time arrival record. It has occurred to me that misdirection is sometimes used to prevent the Finish Line from being impacted. Could the final 3 be arriving earlier? There are many flights from Atlanta to Las Vegas arriving earlier than 2037. Here is a complete list of such flights (including those later) with departure information:

AIRLINE/FLIGHT TIME GATE CODESHARES
  AirTran 775 9:30A departed D5
  AirTran 777 1:20P C21
  Delta 104  8:40A  Departed  B26 codeshare KA7254 and NW9162
  Delta 1083 9:45A  Departed  B34
  Delta 1851 11:10A  On Time  B24  codeshare KA7256
  Delta 1087 1:40P B27
  Delta 25 4:00P B21 codeshare AF574
  Delta 65 5:50P E15 codeshare AF9000
  Delta 1093 7:20P  A26  codeshare AF9006, AM5129, AZ3430
  Delta 1095 9:15P B32  codeshare  KA 7258, AF9028

The flight info is from 8/6.

Y'all please remember that the Finale has not yet FILMED, or is filming very soon.

No further info for now from me, until we are sure the finale has been safely filmed.

I will say that NO teams were spotted in Atlanta, or believed to be in Atlanta.

I will be happy to share more WHEN and IF it is appropriate, and not before.

Come on everyone give poor ole Peaches and Cream a break.  She put in a hard day yesterday and she will share information when she believes the teams are clear of the finish.  But not before.  Trust her, she'll share when sharing is proper.  Where would we all be without her and Puddin, my two favorite wenches  :kuss:

Hi everyone! This is my first post but I've been lurking here forever...................love everything you guys do around here this is one of my favorite sites!

I had to register because my sister is in Vegas and she just saw a team! She said she was driving down the strip and was stopped in traffic when two guys with a camera crew ran behind her car! She saw amazing race flags! She said she did not get a good look at them but only saw their backs. They were wearing green and grey backpacks and darted through the traffic across the street! That was the only information she could give me but I thought I should pass it along.

This siting was 3 hours ago..... ( If this post is in the wrong place please feel free to move)

Hi artlover, that's great info.

Based on the time of the siting (around noon) I would guess that the teams may have arrived on one of these flights from Toronto:

Ask where she was on the strip when she saw them.
Ask if one guy had pink hair.

These guys have green and gray packs:

Thanks Chateau! I just asked about the pink hair and my sister said she couldn't see it but my dad did! I sent her that picture you posted and asked for her to show the rest of the family she is with to see if everyone can confirm it was that team .....I will let you all know, but it seems like it is the right team to me!

My sister said they were near ceasar's palace on the strip...
And she just confirmed that is the team they saw! Do you guys think this is a team that is in the running for the finale or a decoy?

I'd like to say real deal, but...who knows what happened at the F4?
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

The decoy question can only be answered by how it looked like they were moving:  balls out rush or "oh, I guess we are in a hurry!"

Also, did the camera crew look like serious tough guys who can climb mountains?

And one more question:  Which way were they crossing the street?  To Caesar's or away from Caesar's.

They were running toward's Ceasar's Palace. My sister said they were full out running (that's why she didn't get a good look at their faces) She said she saw the camera men well and they were drenched in sweat..... my sister said that she first saw them on the sidewalk and when traffic stopped they darted out into the road to cross it and thats when they ran behind the car she was in.

I'm so excited!

Nice work   :jumpy:

Can she give her best estimate of when it happened:  when to when?

So was your sister's car headed south on the strip?  That's going down in the GE view above

She updated her facebook right when she saw them..... her board now says that post was made 5 hours ago..... so between 2:30 and 3:30? I dont know how to make the facebook post show the exact time she posted, I could post the exact time tomorrow when her page on fb updates.
Her car was moving north on Las Vegas Blvd based on the google screenshot you posted.....

You're doing great!

Can you ask her about the flags?  Where were those flags?  What size?  I saw little flags at LAX.  And not too many either!  Easy to miss.

Hmmm, I was at YYZ from 5:30am to 9:00am watching check-in for both of those flights (US160 and AC591) and saw nothing.
The only way they used those flights without me seeing is if they transferred directly from another US flight.

Couldn't Chicago be another option?
