Excellent work guys, now we have a lot to begin with! and one big question:

Will they be renaming it from The Amazing Race in Discovery Channel to The Amazing Race in Space? :lol3:

Harris must have left GUA for EZE thru MIA as Space Channel is Argentina based and I don't think Space Channel will be holding a press conference like the one shown, anywhere but at their main office and unless they have something else planned, the wisest thing to do, budget-wise, is to start the race down there as they have already flown all teams there.

The Guatemala sighting of a crew might have been for Harris doing some promos there, lets keep watch.

From, Harri's twitter:
Los equipos son de Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica y Chile. Todo indica que estara dura la competencia.

The teams are from Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Chile.

The 2 teams without flags are Ecuador and Chile and maybe the second venezuelan team.

I'm thinking the M/F "old couple" is the second venezuelan team because the mexican and colombian teams are kinda next to each other.

Look at the male/male team in the back, one of them is clearly holding a Chilean flag, you can see  it on the white and red colours.

So the information about the 2 venezuelan teams going into the race and the speculated route are fake. What a bummer for the people from Venezuela, they are really excited about the possibilitie of two venezuelan teams.

Also the link says that the presentation was in Buenos Aires, i'm 100% sure the race is starting in Argentina but i don't know the exact day of the starting, tommorrow or sunday maybe?

Yesterday it was in 3 more days, so today is in 2 more days.... and yeah, poor Venezuelans, they were really excited about having 2 teams  :( Also, that website says that the race is going on right now...

Another detail (maybe a little irrelevant),  look at the shoes of the mexican couple, their scarfs and the hair of the woman. They could be clowns or something like that.

From Harri's twitter
Se me disparo mi backberry- llevo 36 horas sentado en un bus camino al punto de partida. Sale al aire el 25 sept

He says he's been on a bus for 36 hours on the way to the starting line. Maybe they are starting in patagonia??

Okay, from the page of the main bus terminal in Buenos Aires (Terminal de Omnibus de Retiro - Retiro Bus Terminal), The destinatinations that are at least 30 hours away (according to google maps) are:

Argentina
*El Calafate, Santa Cruz - 34 or 36 hours
*Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz - 33 or 34 hours
*Rio Turbio, Santa Cruz - 35 hours

also from Río Gallegos you can reach Ushuaia, Rio Negro, Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas.

And many latin american destinations which are more than 40 hours away by bus, but i think they are starting in Argentina, because if they were starting in another country the would have been transported by plane, rather than a 36 hours journey by bus. I also think, that the starting point is a place with no airport or a little one, or the we have a low budget this season.

So i would go with a Patagonian starting point, I would say Santa Cruz or Tierra del Fuego Province in Argentina, or Aysen or Magallanes Region in Chile.

Also, i don't know if they are still using the blue and black flag for TARLA, because que have never seen yellow and red flags on our version but they could change it this season.

Anyway THANK YOU for the photo, we need all the info and evidence we can get and i will take the photo in consideration, you never know. As gonzalo said it could be an intersection.

I think they are not using the blue and black flags, since those were the colours of Discovery Channel...

If that's the case then we won't see blue clues anymore, maybe yellow clues like the other versions.

http://twitter.com/#!/juan_delmar

and LaToya is not tweeting since July 5, so she is definetely on the race.

You are right gonzalo, the new photo in harri's twitter has a yellow and red marker. That's the list for the teams in the airports, and you can see the name felipe.
