She does not know, but she thinks it will start really soon. Other thing that she posted and is quite relevant:
Quote
¡Hola! Tengo entendido que será básicamente en el Cono Sur, incluyendo Brasil.

English: Hi! i know that it (the race) will be basically in the Southern Cone, including Brazil.

The Southern Cone is the southern part of South America which includes Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. And sometimes it includes Paraguay and Southern Brazil.

But i think it is unlikely since it will be a 13 leg race taking place in only 4/5 countries.  :duno:

Lets take a close look at the pics and try to find where there are from, they have no hidden properties or are geo-tagged. The brand on the coffee cup is that of an Italian coffee machine maker..... could be anywhere but somehow I feel like it may be Buenos Aires.

That green tag says: TranStar, which is a Guatemalan transportation company... so, they are definetely in Guatemala, but i don't know if the race is starting there or they are flying to another country to start the race  :duno:

Que buena vista. Eso haría dos salidas seguidas desde Guate. Pensé que también el piso del aeropuerto ayudaría.

What a good sight. That will make two starts in a row from Guatemala. I thought the tiled floor at the airport might help.

Mi suposición: 1 O TARLA 3 comienza en Guate ó 2 Harris ya llegó a otro lado sin quitar etiquetas de TranStar (checar piso) ó 3 Harris carga con demasiado vestuario :-).

My supposition: Either TARLA 3 begins in Guatemala or 2 Harris has arrived somewhere else without removing the TranStar tags (check floor tiles) or 3 Harris wardrobe is too much :-).

Ningún aeropuerto principal de México tiene un piso como ese y no recuerdo el de La Aurora/GUA.

No main airport in Mexico has a floor like that and I can't remember that of La Aurora International/GUA.

Saludos.

I also think they are not starting in Guatemala, and they could be flying to another country... but since Harris posted a picture on an airplane, i suggest that this picture in the airport was taken before getting on the plane.... An by now, Harris is on the Starting Line... i hope he keeps helping us with this :D

Dear Gonzalo,

That plane looks either like a private jet with VERY big windows or it is the very front row in Business Class (seat 7A) in an Aerolineas Argentinas 747. See how the wall folds in (only in a 747) in front and whatever is in front is not another seat.

As Harris mentions (Dawns) it is also possible that it is a Wide Body jet at Easter Island (CL!!!) since he tweeted between 12 noon in western Mexico and 5 PM in eastern Brazil, looong after dawn for the mainland.

Even though an A340 is marked for today's Miami-Buenos Aires, it could have been changed for a 747 and then it could have been a very early picture at MIA and tweeted later from Bs As.

I'll see if I can get more info since the only operator of 747s in LatAm is Argentinas.

Harris tweeted at around 3 P.M (Santiago de Chile) and the Easter Island has 2 hours less, so it would be at 1 P.M, but what i don't know is at what time it Dawns in Easter Island  :duno:

BTW! I would love to get an Easter Island start, since they promised better locations and exciting tasks this time!!!

He says he's getting closer, so he could have seen the dawn while flying over the pacific ocean on his way to the easter island, he probably didn't tweeted at exactly that moment, but probably when he got to mainland.  :duno:

Gonzalo look at this! according to the information i posted before La Toya Montoya and Juan del Mar could be the M/F colombian couple.

Here is a photo of them

GREAT!!! Another Chilean.... btw, that flag is from the Aymara culture, in Southern Peru and Bolivia, and northern Chile and Argentina.

THANK YOU! THAT'S THE FLAG.

And also, i think maybe i'm a little over the top with the speculation but the M/F team from Peru could be this one??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1MAp_agMIg

The man in the photo seems to be the same of that video (look at the noise in one of the photo), but again i'm not 100% sure.
