The company colour-codes its boats!

Yellow flags stop only at these ten piers:
E and W represent the side of the river the pier is on

N30: Nonthaburi (Pibul 3) (E)
N24: RAMA 7 (W)
N22: Bang Po (E)
N15: Thewet (E)
N12: Phra Pin Klao Bridge (W)
N10: Wang Lang (Siriraj) (W)
N5: Rachawongse (E)
N3: Si Phraya (E)
Central Pier (E)
S4: Ratburana (Big C) (W)

Now to find those red-roofed buildings? (And that's a farang couple in the background, we can't be too far out of the city.)

Clues up at CBS:

Next On The Amazing Race
Rooting Around In People's Mouths Could Be Unpleasant (Thailand)
One racer's Roadblock goes up in smoke.
One team finds itself at the mercy of a slow moving Thai shopkeeper. <<( say what?)
Lesson not learned from Toni and Dallas last season - one team goes to the mat without their passports.
A racer wanders through Bangkok-barefoot and one racer goes hours out of the way to retrieve "mementos".

In 2 weeks
Phil: the teams karaoke in Bangkok and Mark and Micheal make a critical mistake ..
Michael: we have to get our backpacks!
Phil: and the gloves come off ..
Mark: ..you'd rather be eliminated and take your clothes home
Michael: thats (ridiculous?)
Mark: thats the problem, you don't want the million dollars (something something just want to play?)

Mark: thats the problem, you don't want the million dollars you just want to play.

According to captioning!!

I was thinking:

One racer's Roadblock goes up in smoke. << no idea

Lesson not learned from Toni and Dallas last season - one team goes to the mat without their passports. << Could be Michael and Mark but they do have their racers pouch so maybe not? I'll guess they are retrieved which ever team it is?

A racer wanders through Bangkok-barefoot << no idea

one racer goes hours out of the way to retrieve "mementos". << Michael looking for their back packs/clothes/ passports?

Heres the Guangzhou China airport sighting on November 17th

Quote
We were in the Guangzhou China airport November 17th around 11pm and saw a team of two caucasian men wearing backpacks running through the airport with a cameraman and producer in tow. They were in the baggage claim area and were in a hurry to find something and stopped at hte information desk to ask directions. The cameraman was working to capture every move. The men were both short and appeared to be related. One had a fanny pack that was visible with red/yellow/back horizontal stripes on it. We went up to them and said "Are you with the Amazing Race?". They said "No", but we are waiting for cast pictures to see if they were telling the truth or not.

--------------------
They were both rarther short (5 ft 5 or less my guess) with brownish red hair. They looked like they were related. I think at least one of them wore glasses. They were "thick" build but not fat. They were wearing shorts and tshirts and both had on back packs. They were very much in a hurry and looked stressed. There was a camera man that was filming their every move and a person carrying a microphone that was stuck in front of their faces as well. Hope that helps
-------------------
It very well could have been Mark and Michael.

Hi Puddin,

The China sighting shows much like a NEL coming up next week? I just based the elimination in case a team really loses their passports in Thailand...

hmmm, it seems that clues given by TAR this week seem too vague... I'm quite alarmed however, that eight legs into the race, we would already see two teams almost missing their passports and their amazing fanny packs, like Toni/Dallas, and teams losing their bags! Uh-oh, seems that these group of teams lose and get lost quite often than not.

Guess we have to wait for TAR's extended preview (Hope that we don't wait till next week though!)

Which makes it Central (Sathorn) Pier! They're running back towards the East, underneath the bridge.

Thank you, PeeT_Pm52! That just got my tongue in knots - not sure if the racers will have better luck!

I hope their detour next week would include playing volleyball with ladyboys or going to a karaoke taxi with ladyboys  :funny: It seems so sad that Mel/Mike wouldn't be able to reach this leg, I would like to see on how they would react to this karaoke detour!

Where are Margie & Luke on the preview. :'( I hope they continue.

Hm...Just a random speculation...Boat/Pier N22 is in Bang Po or leads to Bang Po, and the title of the song in the karaoke (can't wait for that!) Sao Bang Po. What does the title mean? But I think it's just a coincidence.

Sao = Lady
Bang Po = A district in Bangkok
Is that a pit start/stop forr karaoke taxi? (make sense)

Maybe the racers' task is to sing the song while thinking of their next destination, hinting that it's in the song itself? It does make sense, with Mark & Michael said to be on one of the other piers. If it's a detour then Mark & Michael may have chosen to do the other task, which must also lead to Bang Po.

Thanks georgiapeach.
Actually I've been here since TAR13, but I'm not good at English. :(

I saw a shot when Mark & Michael on taxi , the blue sign at the middle (before taxi drivers calls) wrote Bang Rak another district in Bangkok too. It's a little far from Bang Po to Bang Rak.  ;)

LOL! Couldn't help laughing when I saw the preview for the next leg. The karaoke certainly looks like fun! Can't wait! Pity it's two weeks later, sigh.

Remember in Elimination Station the burning boats?  Could the "up in smoke" and "mementos" be a roadblock around a Buddhist ceremony?  I believe in funerals they burn mementos?

One racer's Roadblock goes up in smoke -- not sure who that is.

Lesson not learned from Toni & Dallas last season -- clearly Mark & Michael

A racer wanders through Bangkok - barefoot -- not sure who that is.

One racer goes hours out of the way to retrive "mementos" -- maybe Mark or Michael, if it refers to their passports.
