Well fast nationals are out for this weeks episode.

TAR 10.40 million viewers and a 3.0 in the adult 18-49.
We won the hour in total viewers and in the a18-49 demo (and will certainly win the hour in the a25-54 demo).

The rest of CBS
60 min 11.87 million viewers and a 1.8 in the a18-49 demo (huge difference)

The Hallmark movie The Courageous Heart of Irene Sendler 9..82 million viewers and a dismal 1.5 in a-18-49.

THis is one of the best performances for TAR on Sundays during the Spring without any Sports overrun or strong lead in.

During all Stars (the last time we aired during the spring) after sports overruns ended we dropped to 8.8 million viewers.

CBS placed first in viewers on Sunday for the eighth consecutive week led by time period winning 60 MINUTES and THE AMAZING RACE 14 and a solid performance by the HALLMARK HALL OF FAME presentation of "The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler," according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for April 19.

At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households (7.7/14), viewers (11.87m), second in adults 25-54 (2.6/08) and adults 18-49 (1.8/06).

THE AMAZING RACE 14 was first in households (6.2/10), viewers (10.40m), adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08).

The HALLMARK HALL OF FAME presentation of "The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler" (S) was second in households (6.2/10) and viewers (9.82m) and averaged a 2.2/05 in adults 25-54 and 1.5/04 in adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year (HALLMARK HALL OF FAME: "Sweet Nothings in My Ear"), CBS was up +15% in households (from 5.4/09), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 2.1/05), even in adults 18-49 and added +1.64m viewers (from 8.18m, +20%).

Seriously, I will kick Nina's ass if we don't get renewed for two cycles. I just checked season averages for the other CBS shows on Sunday, and we lead CBS for all three demos. Of course we did in 2006 and what happened we got one f***ing cycle the next year.

Final numbers are out (and as soon as I can get the rest of the data I will update) for last week.

TAR 10.305 million viewers (Won time slot)
3.0 adults 18-49 (2nd in the 8pm to 830pm slot, Simpsons had a 3.1, but wins the period for the full hour)

The other CBS shows
60 minutes
12.041 million viewers and a 1.8 in adults 18-49 (so great growth in the all important demo)

Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler
9.826 million viewers and a terrible 1.5 in adults 18-49.

So the show did great to have such a huge increase in viewers between 18-49 while being sandwiched between two shows that really perfomed terribly in that revenue generating demo group.

CBS's Monday Comedies All Post Increases Over Last Original Broadcast

CBS placed first in viewers for the seventh consecutive week and 24th of 30 (80% of the season) and continues as the only network to post year-to-year increases in all key measures, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 19, week 30 of the 2008-2009 television season.

CSI and TWO AND A HALF MEN were the week's top scripted programs while MEN also was the top scripted series in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

For the season, CBS continues as the only network posting year-to-year gains in all key measures, up +13% in viewers, +7% in adults 18-49 and +8% in adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers: CBS (9.92m), FOX (9.28m), ABC (7.54m) and NBC (6.31m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.82m), ahead of FOX (9.70m), ABC (8.90m) and NBC (8.01m).

For the week in households: CBS (6.3/11) ahead of FOX (5.5/09), ABC (4.8/08) and NBC (4.0/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of FOX (5.7/09), ABC (5.6/09) and NBC (4.9/08).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in both adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +13% in households, +16% in viewers, +7% in adults 25-54 and +4% in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and second in adults 18-49 (3.2/08).

If the show can maintain over 10 million for the rest of the season (3 more episodes) and keep near a 3.0 in the demo. Then there is no real logical reason for them not to. Since being on Sunday its average is higher for viewers, and all three demo groups then any other show that CBS has aired original episodes of.

The only drawback on TAR is that it doesn't generate rerun revenue (or DVD sales, ect). But it should also be much cheaper then most scripted programming (so it should balance out).

it makes money off the travel channel and fox reality, and in december seasons1-8 come up for bid again if any1 wants them

The weekly ratings report is beginning to sound like a broken record: Once again, Fox's American Idol took the top spot with its two episodes drawing 24.4 million and 24.1 million viewers for the seven-day period ending April 19. ABC's Dancing With the Stars -- which started its season nipping at the heels of American Idol -- stayed firmly put at No. 3, drawing 19.5 million viewers. CBS' CSI (No. 4, 15.7 million) and the results hour of Dancing With the Stars (No. 5, 15.2 million) rounded out the Top 5 for the week.

The rest of the Top 20 included no surprises. There were no new premieres or specials to speak of, so it was filled out with Two and a Half Men, Desperate Housewives, a host of CBS procedurals, and The Amazing Race, to name a few of the usual suspects. The full Top 20 is after the jump.

I believe one day, The Amazing Race will overtake Survivor in terms of ratings. I always thought TAR is so much more a better show.

That one day is about to come... Survivor's already meh... I quit watching the show since Romber destroyed the essence of winning in All Stars...

While TAR on the other hand, we see more and more viewers grow to appreciate it, as well as this forum site is able to encourage so much people to join in our discussions, making it so much more fun as we have more opinions towards the show...

At least we know that we're not the only ones who are fanatics with the show... I was able to convince some of my friends to even watch the season again after long breaks of forgetting TAR... It's supremacy is just starting...

Kudos to the WRP team all over the world!
