Well we know that LaKisha and Jennifer, Amanda and Kris, Christie and Jodi and Preston and Jennifer are in close proximity of one'an'other and that Christie and Jodi will beat Preston and Jenn to the pitstop! Cara and Jamie will be up top and Tammy and Victor, Mel and Mike are seen at the cheese together and Mark and Michael, Margie and Luke and possibly Preston and Jenn are also there at the same time so I believe that this is a order

1- Tammy and Victor
2- Mel and Mike
3- Cara and Jamie

4- Amanda and Kris
5- Mark and Michael

7- Preston and Jennifer

The airplace demo by Phil was nice, but what does it have to do with AR14? The only realistic use of a 747-400 by Air New Zealand would be if AR14 goes to New Zealand, which is regrettably not possible with the expected route.

Well airplane=travel, and I guess one of the publicity dept came up with the concept for the photo shoot. As for why Air New Zealand, well from what I've heard it can be quite hard to get access to an airplane, and Air New Zealand has quite close links/sponsorship deal with Phil, so I guess it was just the easiest airline to arrange it with.

Mutual back-scratching is my guess as well. WRP gets the discounted use of the plane for its Media Day shots (taking it offline, even for the few hours it takes to setup/shoot/strike set, can be expensive), and ANZ gets a free plug. (fwiw, LAX-AKL business=$4651 OW)

As Slowhatch said, stroking the client. You have to do that every once in a while. Plus, I'm sure Air New Zealand liked the $60,000 worth of branding for free. Can't buy that pub.

To me, that shot of Cara and Jamie looks like the reaction of two girls who got the news that they were still in the race, so I'm thinking a 9th or 10th place finish for them in this leg. As for Mel and Mike, they look too relaxed to be battling it out for top spot, or to avoid last place, so I think they'll be mid table for the first leg.

Possible, but we'll find out on Sunday. At least we know they won't be out of the Race.
