I would utterly LOL if instead of what we found out to happen: (again, this is my 0.00000001% of hope talking so no  smileys please :funny:)

1. Tammy/Victor have a huge lead and are on Flight 1 with production
2. Kisha/Jen are in 4th

This happens:

1. Kisha/Jen have a huge lead and are on Flight 1 with decoy teams
2. Tammy/Victor are in 4th

Although that's not happening in a million years, unless T/V, M/L & C/J have a RB penalty. (like they only eat one delicacy alone and share the other delicacies with the teammate when they have to eat a series of delicacies alone and check in to the Pitstop without them knowing they did it wrongly - see Tara/Wil & Blake/Paige in Sydney) Again, just false hope. (cue the  smileys. :funny:)

Do decoy teams ever run with the final 3?  I know you can't read much in facial expressions captured in 1 photo, but Kisha does look much more serious than the other teams.  Can't really tell much about Jen from where she is.  And who are they looking back toward?  It looks like Jodi & the bros are looking back at the guy in the "A" ball cap.  Wonder if he's with them.

If Tammy & Victor are in a huge lead going into Honolulu, I'm pretty sure it'll get canceled out when they head to Maui.  The F3 will probably have some tasks to do in Honolulu first and then get bunched up before the final flight to Maui.  Just like in All-Stars, when the F3 got bunched up after their tasks in Hawaii, before heading to San Francisco.

Ashe:

A more logical sequence would be the bunching to occur at Narita Airprot. Phil has stated on his Diary video that he left the Beijing pit stop at 330pm, so all teams finished before then. The first possible flight from Beijing to Narita is JL780 0825 1255. That gives all teams ample time to be on the first flight departing Narita for Honolulu, which is the previously discussed JO76 1845 0645+1 and its related "extra flight" JO8090 30 minutes later. Why did teams take the one hour later PEK NRT flight CA925? I certainly can't say, but there is no harm to taking CA925 on the connection to the Honollu-bound flights.  World Race Productions has a history of getting teams near the pit stop as early in the day as possible to minimizie sighting potential. I see only a tiny probability that tasks in Honolulu would have created the bunching. There is a possibility for airport bunching if the flight to Maui is to Kapalua airport, which has only 4 flights a day. It that was not specified, teams would take the next available flight from Honolulu to Maui - Kahului airport. There are about 3 every hour, so that would depend on the time to clear U.S. customs. If it is Kahului as the destination airport, I expect that WRP will find some way of guaranteeing that all 3 F3 teams are on the same flight. Arriving at the same time should do that, but not always.

 :jam: cool spoiler!

BTW, anyone notice that there are three cameramen BUT no sound guys.  Kinda suggests that this footage will never get broadcast, so audio is not all that important and can be recorded using the mike on the camera.  I'm sure I read somewhere that every (active) team gets a cameraman AND a sound man.  Never saw a happier looking bunch of Losers!   :funny:

If the picture is post final mat then it really doesn't spoil anything. Its just a photo of various racers enjoying some down time after the race - waiting for a taxi or something. It doesn't tell us who the final 3 are at all.

Or am I missing something here?

I have never set my clock camera and would have no idea if it is right? Or suppose that is an EST visitor?

And last season teams were asked to run decoy AFTER the mat as well....

I would want to think this photo doesn't spoil the F3, but having all those previously eliminated teams and only Kisha & Jen with them from the F4 strongly suggests that those are all decoys (even if it is after the race is over).

They can't have them doing decoy duty during the race, because they are needed at the Finish Line, so they have to do it after the race is over. I think the camera time is likely correct or at least close. Not that I know anything about sun angles, like Chateau.

<snip>

I have been using a digital camera for at least 4 years in different time zones around the US and in at least one country foreign to me.  I have never reset the camera to match the time zone that I was visiting.  Too much trouble!

I personally would assume that the time stamp on the photo matches the timezone in which the photographer lives, if that is known.

Well, so much for my assumption that Tammy & Victor were out of the Race because of the sighting of them in the same area or on the same plane as Phil and the executive producer.  Looks like LaKisha & Jen are decoys, along with Christie & Jodi, Mel & Mike and Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dumber (aka Mark & Michael).

walkingpneumonia, with the 2 to 5 hour difference for any photographers based on the U.S. mainland, chances are that the actual Hawaiian time was 1241pm to 341pm. It is difficult to say without knowing in which time zone the camera is set.

Is there a disconnect somewhere?  Both Puddin and mwoden show the end date as Nov 22.  It makes sense to me that the racers would arrive in Maui a day before the end.  The lady who took the photo was waiting for their rental car.  I assume the racers were waiting for their transportation.

From Puddin :

Nov. 22

NRT to HNL
JO76 1845 0645+1
UA880 1945 0736+1
NW30 2000 0805  Note that this is a continuation of the ealier flight from PEK to NRT with 6 hour 20 minute layover
NW22 2055 0845+1
NH1052 2055 0915+1
JO74 2100 0900+1
JO72 2200 1000+1

Continuing on from Tokyo-Narita to Honolulu (NRT to HNL), there are 9 choices with departures between 645pm and 10pm. With the 6 hours 45 minute flying team and 5 hour time difference, these flights arrive HNL 0630 to 0950. The most logical choice to me would be UA880 NRT HNL 1925 0710+1. All these are same day due to crossing the International Date Line.

Finish Line on Maui, so teams will take a 36 or 37 minute flight Honolulu to Kahului or to Kapalua. There is at least one every hour from 5am to 9pm and several in some hours.

Sorry if I'm confusing things - I was going by this post http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,17788.msg380845.html#msg380845 which says the race ended on Nov 21 in Maui. Other posts contradict it I guess. Or are we dealing with the international date line incorrectly?

Puddin, if that's true and the date on the camera is correct, then  possibly it's just a decoy photo and not a spoiler one.  A speculative time line could be pit stop at 11 am., film for an hour or two, then go to the airport, do some decoy stuff at the airport, and then fly to Honolulu for the night.  I don't think the racers would fly home that same day.

Seeing all of the Amazing Race paraphernalia out in the open if they were arriving  seems kind of strange.  Why call attention when it's not needed?

True. Great catch, Chateau. :D  Kisha/Jen's could just be hidden though. Oh dammit, I'm optimistically hoping for a miracle again. Plus, Kisha doesn't look like she has a backpack and if they were in the Finals, I'd think they'd have them. Unless they did something with their bags to prevent excess baggage...gah...more false hope. Someone save me. :P That being said, I'd have preferred this Final Four MUCH more than the current one.

Time translations.......2008:11:21 17:41:15 camera time. If it was a Hawaiian camera, then true time is 05:41 pm

Hawaii is 2 hours behind West Coast (Pacific Time) = 15:41 or 03:41 pm. This would be actual time in Hawaii, if
camera was a West Coast camera.
Hawaii is 3 hours behind Mountain Time                  = 14:41 or 02:41 pm  This would be actual time in Hawaii, if
camera was a Mountain Zone camera
Hawaii is 4 hours behind Central Time                     = 13:42 or 01:41 pm   This would be actual time in Hawaii if,
camera was a Central Zone camera.
Hawaii is 5 hours behind Eastern Time                    = 12:41 or 12:41 pm  This would actual time in Hawaii, if
camera was an East Time Zone camera.

So, look at the pic and what time do you think it really is in the photo?
