Ken's screencaps of the helicopter (fist one is #274) remind me that somebody suggested Catalina Island as the starting point. I am inclined to agree with that assessment. It would be a remote beach not easily reached by tourists. Another possibility is nearby San Clemente Island. Santa Cruz Islands are a long wasy north, so I don't think it's them.

The horseback riding could be associated with Gypsy tasks in Romainia......I didnt see any snow in the background, but it is a pretty tight shot, so that doesn't say much.

I think Peach's rotated zip line is actually the cave decent in TAR2 in New Zealand when they had to go down with a guide. There are three people in that shot. The detour that allowed Chris/Alex to pass Danny/Oswald in the cave at the bottom. Wasn't it called "Lost World?"

I am more excited with this season now that I see a train in it. I also like seeing snow in a season!

I agree with Slowhatch, the horses could be contestant bio footage/B-Roll. Say for instance the blonds, Jodi and friend are from Texas so maybe thats it. The so called zipline looks like an ascender to me, maybe season 5 or 10, Vietnam or El Nido, Palawan.

This probably doesn't need to said but the starting line is definitely Los Alamitos Base. In the screenshot of Phil saying "Go!" the building right behind him matches with the building on the base in the picture below.

I don't see any other probability. It has been spec for some time now that TAR 14 will begin at the Los Alamitos Air Base...These other suggestions are good but anon1akacolby has pretty much solidified the spec now!

I do think that the vertical zipline is the Lost World from AR2. I don't think it is either of the ascending tasks, because both of those tasks were held during the day and it was very bright, whereas this image is more enclosed, like the AR2 task.

Like I mentioned in the contestant thread, I believe that the train ride is when they go to Siberia. It could be anywhere else, but that's what I thought of immediately.

Dr. Rox, it's a nice thought. The train route in Romania has mountains but only one small passage along a lake. As others(including me) have said the railway line shown could be the Trans-Siberian Express, which is a high probability when teams are in Siberia as it is one of the few reliable means of transportation(although it limits you to cities on that line). However, my best guess is still Switzerland, home of alps and many fabulous train routes. I got to ride many of them using a 8 day Swiss rail pass and know the diversity of possilbilities, with the line from Domodossola to Interlaken the most likely.

That's my guess as well: they emphasize the first ep during the promos. So maybe the Interlaken-Domodossola run or the FART train (Ferrovie
Autolinee Regionali Ticinesi) between Domodossola and Locarno.
On the topic of trains, a map for Peach: live swiss trains; as I write this, ICE 987 is approaching Interlaken West.
