TAR 13 showtime in US
« on: September 23, 2008, 08:59:23 AM »
Premieres Sunday, September 28th, 8:00pm et/pt

is this 8pm EST or PST US time ? looks like the US peoples will watch around 12hr ahead of Asia peoples ? Because we in Asia will start to watch on Monday 8pm (GMT+7) or 9pm (GMT+8).

Is this correct ?  :duno:

snap-on, the meaning of 8pm ET/PT is clear. That means East Coast at 8pm Eastern Daylight Time (because that's what we in the U.S. have right now), then 3 hours later on the West Coast at 8pm Pacific Daylight Time. 8pm East Coast right now is 12 hours ahead of 8pm Monday Singapore time.

only if people in CA have a channel on tv that shows the east coast show. I live on the west coast (but in canada) and i can watch Amazing Race at 5pm PST but i watch it on a channel that is from a city on the east coast.

Most people on the west coast though, have to wait until 8pm PST to watch it.

So is it 7:00 pm in Mountain Daylight time?

If the big hand is on the 12, and the little hand is on the 8...

Y'all are cracking me up!  :funny: :funny: :funny:

Try this:

Hooky: CBS usually shows TAR at 8PM right after 60 Minutes, regardless of what time zone you are in.

So in PST, 8PM.
In EST, 8PM.
So I assume MST>>8PM.

Now for how MST relates to EST, see time and date.

You can also Google TV Guide Schedules and put in your location for more info.

Sorry, that was a retarded moment. I couldn't remember if S.12 was at 7 or 8.

I remember now. It was at 7.

Mountain time network programming usually begins at 7 p.m. local time. Since it's 2 hours behind New York, programming is delayed there.

So this is how the networks program primetime in the States. Eastern and Central time zones usually see Amazing Race at 8 p.m. in New York and 7 p.m. in Chicago.

But in Denver which is in the Mountain time zone and Los Angeles in the Pacific time zone, they see the programming on a delay. I hope that answers your question.

Peach, I believe that you assume wrong. In the Mountain Time Zone, just like in the Central Time zone, programs typically are telecast one hour prior(in their time) to when they are broadcast on the East Coast and West Coast. This is consistent with what bothTARAsia Fan and Hooky have told you. TAR will begin at 7pm Mountain Time (whether Daylight or not) assuming no CBS football delays.

We never have football overruns here. I feel really bad for all you guys who do.

Hooky, as a football fan, I have to differ with you, but in the East and Central time zones, the NFL overruns actually help Amazing Race's ratings by bringing over casual viewers and those who have watched football. You want the NFL to overrun in the East and Midwest.
