With next season supposed to be the last for 24, I think they will want to have Kim close to Jack especially with CTU in New York.

Thanks Ken!

I forgot to post this, a 4 year old girl is being cast for the next season, so it seems that Jack's granddaughter will be part of the plot line in some fashion.

Found it:

"24" has been ordered for an eight season and casting calls have been conducted. One particular important character which will be introduced next season is a 4-year-old girl named Teri who is described as Kim Bauer's daughter.

My old 24 message board stomping grounds have spoiled the last two hours. Suffice to say that Kim has a significant role tonight. That's all I'm going to say.

Hummmph... My better half wants to shoot the writers in the thigh and make them tell us what happens to Jack, then shoot them in the other thigh for causing us all this angst.

I'm glad President Lady President did the right thing. Let Mr. First Whatever leave in a snit and keep him out of the WH and out of the plot and best of all, out of our sight! I'll even volunteer to wheel him out if it helps. (I forgot to notice if he miraculously grew his finger back, but then again, who cares.)

Kim really came through.

Love Aaron, Love Ethan.

What a season! This is almost a worse ending than watching Jack hauled off to a Chinese freighter! How many months till next January??? Hurry it up! We have a lot of loose ends that need tying up!

Getting Henry Taylor off my TV is a good thing. I don't ever want to see that character again.

With next season being in NYC and Jack, Renee and Kim coming back, I like where we're headed and into what is most likely the last season.

I like that Tony survived. I also liked the mention of my beloved Michelle. I wish they hadn't killed her off. But an angry Tony in jail is better than a dead Tony.

Chloe was muted this season, hopefully she'll be better next season.

It looks like it will be the final season. Since Wilson, the bad man goes all the way back day wise, it looks like they will tie up all these loose ends. Chloe had a better role in the first part of the day but they didn't give her much to do in the final few hours.

The only time I liked Henry was when he was being operated on, he wasn't talking and I didn't have to listen or look at him and I'd like to keep it that way!  (:;)

Tony wasn't all bad, or all good but at the moment he's nutz! I hope they clean him up a bit as well.

From EW:

Quote
'24' exclusive: Hail to the (new) chief!

May 20, 2009, 02:12 PM | by Michael Ausiello

According to my watch, it's time for the second piece of casting on 24's eighth season!

Chris Diamantopoulos -- best known as Debra Messing's gay BFF on The Starter Wife -- has been tapped to play the series regular role of Rob Weiss, the argumentative and tough new Chief of Staff to President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones). He replaces Taylor's current C.O.S., Ethan Kanin, who snatched his job back in last Monday's finale after the prez's psycho daughter, Olivia, was taken into federal custody.

As I previously reported, Day 8's action will switch from Washington D.C. to New York City and center on an assassination plot against a visiting foreign leader (Slumdog Millionaire's Anil Kapoor, the new season's first piece of casting).

Bonus piece of trivia free of charge: Diamantopoulos is married to Ugly Betty's sublime Becki Newton. On second thought, that little nugget is worth at least $50. Pay up.

So...what's going to happen to Ethan now?!?

He's proven that he is/was a good friend and adviser so I hope he has some sort of role in President Taylor's administration.

Welcome to RFF Alexis and especially to this thread. LOVE 24!!!
