EEEEEEEYOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Jack cannot get sick, not now!  :ascared

And why did they capture Tony? He's lost his edge, he can't fight his way out of a paper sack right now. (But I have hopes for him especially if Jack has an exposure to  some fatal hideous disease. Tony, you may have to find the antidote!)

And who was that peering through the door at Jack? Please tell me it isn't Kim!  :groan:

It was a great firefight and saving Carl's life, yes! Jack is getting mellow a tiny little bit.

Oh, I was wondering who that was. I may have to rewind my DVR back to check. I know Kim is supposed to be coming back this season. If the cougar comes back from S2 to finish the job this time, I would be a very happy man.

ETA - Damn, my DVR cut out that part from the previews. Shoot!

I would PAY for the cougar to finish the job!!!

We played the preview back 3 times and couldn't decide who it was!  :groan:  I just hope it isn't... HER!

I think Jack asks for her thinking he might be dying. I know Kim is coming back and this might be the time to bring back estranged daughter. Besides, maybe Kim is married to the cougar (which was named Effrem on a 24-related board).

This well could be the reason she returns.  I wish my DVR had taped just one more minute!

One site thinks the woman Dr. Sunny Macer. I'm not finding her name, Christina Chang, listed in the credits at IMBD but maybe she's just not listed yet. It would make sense, she  was in S3 and 4. I don't like Wiki but it does resemble the person I saw last night in the preview. What do you think Ken?

I remember she was used during the virus threat storyline involving Michelle at the hotel in S3 and I believe she was also at CTU Medical where every patient went to die over the first five seasons.

What's funny is that they give Asian actors Western character names. Christina Chang played Dr. Macer. Agent Tom Baker was played by Daniel Dae Kim, now Jin of Lost.

It must be an insider joke for naming characters.

I think it's a good thing that Senator Oscar Mayer closed down CTU including the medical part. It really wasn't healthy for others, you're rightl even without Dr. Macer's assistance.  :snicker: (Although I've never been sure that LA continued to be a viable place to live after the bomb and mushroom explosion cloud...)

Whoohoo!!

Snippet:

Sutherland says he's on for 8th '24' season

By MIN LEE – 10 hours ago

HONG KONG (AP) — Kiefer Sutherland will be back to play Jack Bauer for an eighth season of the hit counterterrorism drama "24," but the show's longevity will depend on its writers, the actor said Tuesday.

The 42-year-old said "24," currently in its seventh season, will start shooting its eighth in May. He spoke during an interview in Hong Kong to promote the new 3-D animated movie "Monsters vs. Aliens," in which he voices the character of General W.R. Monger.

Sutherland, whose gritty portrayal of the counterterrorism agent has made Bauer an iconic character, said he's committed to the show that's revived his career.

"If I was going to liken '24' to a girlfriend, '24' has been really good to me. And I need to be really good back," Sutherland said.

I kept getting the wrong answer for the clip with Sherry and the pills, finally I got through without answering that one. (I didn't think Jack did anything but since I can't get the right answer, I dunno.)

This episode was slow as molasses. I was waiting for the payoff that did not come. I'm hoping next week will be better.

BAH!! I thought Greg was going to turn on Hodges, I was completely fooled!

You can't think about this show too much because it will drive you mad without even being exposed to WMD. For instance, last week the helicopter lifted the device up up and away, how did they get it out of the truck? Did the truck have a retractable opening in the top?  Too bad I erased it from the DRV already. Tonight is Larry on the ground but still in the air?

My hubby believes in Jack. He says Jack will get up from the floor, won't die and will go get Hodges. At the moment I'm devastated with Jack collapsing and have to wait another week to see if he was just suffering from low blood sugar because he hasn't had a thing to eat all day, or is this it! We can't have a whole new season with Jack dying can we?  :knuckles:

I'm not sure it deserves your grade Ken.. I think maybe one letter lower!

Oh! I apologize to Tony, he can fight his way out of a paper sack. I hope he deals with that little creep Greg and makes him retract his statement! He certainly gave him an evil look!

Edited to fix gibberish.

Since Keifer signed for another season, we know that he will somehow survive. Besides, Dr. Macer was able to find that Michelle survived the virus in the hotel in S3, Jack will beat this.

However, the episode was too slow. We need a few firefights next week.

We need more action, that's for sure! I wonder, Jack was in Sangala, maybe he will have immunity because he was exposed to remnants of the WMD there so he'll just get sick but not die. We can't have 8 hours left with no Jack!

Jack will fight this virus and find a way to survive. We can't have next season without Jack. Well, unless the writers decide to hand the show to Kim. Oh no! :groan:

And for good measure!  :whips

Banish that thought about Kim right now!  :funny:

Some speculate that season 8 will go back to an earlier time but I don't believe that would work.

Well... there HAS to be a cure for Jack who has apparently has Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. (Maybe Hodges has an antidote!)

Or maybe it's this! Prion.

Scientists found the infectious agent was a prion, a misfolded version of the PrP protein found clumped together in brain cells. Brain matter in PrP-infected animals takes on a spongy appearance, lending the condition its formal name, bovine spongiform encephalitis (BSE).

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/04/090402124320.htm

Jack's brain will not allow misfolded proteins!

ETA: I think Jack fainting is a ploy. He wants to go find the bio-weapon and he can't if he's stuck at FBI. Walker will figure it out and go with him or follow him. He can't be sick with 8 hours to go!

I hope so because it is the anti-Jack show right now. If Jack isn't able to save the world who can?  (:;)

Not to mention that last week was pretty much boring!
