From TVWeek.com (I think it's almost safe to say there won't be another winter edition)

CBS Orders 11th Season of 'Big Brother'

By Josef Adalian

"Big Brother" will be back next summer.

Just days after wrapping a successful 10th season, CBS has confirmed that its long-running reality soap opera has been renewed for an 11th cycle. The news was announced to "Brother" staffers Thursday night at the show's wrap party in Studio City, Calif.

The renewal doesn't come as much of a surprise, given "Brother's" solid performance this summer. Airing three times per week, the show regularly delivered CBS's best ratings of the night with its Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday broadcasts. Its finale attracted nearly 8 million viewers, down from last summer's swansong but up compared with the show's 2008 spring finale.

While CBS has traditionally aired "Brother" once a year, during the summer, the network launched an in-season edition of the show earlier this year as a way of filling programming gaps caused by the writers' strike.

Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan are the executive producers of "Brother," which is produced in association with Endemol USA.

From buddytv.com

Exclusive interview with Memphis, part 2...

When did you suspect that Dan might be tough to beat in a final vote?  And, if you thought that, did you ever think about maybe switching it up, maybe trying to get him out of the game?

No, not really.  I never really thought that far ahead, to be honest with you.  I tried to keep it at least by the week and I think that's why I'm here.  I tried to just look at that week.  I tried to not think about the votes too much and maybe that was my downfall, but just trying to make it to the end.  Because I never thought, walking into the house, that I would have made it to the finals, it's crazy.  No, me and Dan's alliance and the Renegades - we were trying to stay strong and it never crossed my mind once to get rid of him.

Going back to the jury questions, would you have approached them differently if you had another chance and do you think that the outcome of the final vote could have been different if you had approached it in a different manner?

You know what, I think if I would have had maybe a little bit more time and...how the whole jury questions played out, if I had just a little bit more time to explain myself then it might have turned out a little different.  The thing is, that's not really how the game's played.  My straight forward strategy, trying to be honest as possible, if I could have explained myself to everybody and explained every single situation, yeah, it might have helped me out.  But the thing is, that's not how the game is played.  I don't get that opportunity to explain.  Hopefully, the jury and everyone else in the cast can watch the tapes and be like "Yeah, Memphis played a pretty straight forward honest game."  As long as they get that out of it, I'll be OK.

Now that we are where we are and you came in second, do you think that if you had the chance again you'd try to keep Keesha around, maybe take her, or take Jerry to the final two, or are you pretty happy with it all?

I'm pretty happy with the outcome of the game.  Without Dan I wouldn't have made it as far as I did.  I think he feels the same.  It's hard to win this game.  The thing is, we were trying to secure each other to make it to the final.  We weren't securing each other to win.  It's definitely a team effort and something I don't think I've seen anybody else pull it off.

Looking back at the whole season, what do you think your most underrated or unsung tactical move was?

I think one big thing would definitely be winning the POV and taking Dan off the block and getting rid of Renny.  I think it was a huge move.  It obviously...I stuck my neck out there to get Dan off.  It wasn't just the fact to get Dan off, it was just the fact that I needed Renny out of the house for my sake with Keesha and with Jerry.  I always thought if it was Jerry and Renny and myself, being a young person, they wouldn't take a young person, you know what I mean?  So, I needed Renny out.  I think that was a huge move by me.  And, definitely the fourth week, trying to get the swing vote for the whole house.  Nobody wanted Jessie, really, to go.  Cause the whole house was hell bent on me leaving.  It took a little work to get everybody behind me.

Have you heard anything since you left the house last night from anyone who watched the season or watched the live feeds that you found surprising or anything you didn't know about the season?

Man, I didn't know about the whole April-Ollie stuff, all those shenanigans. Man, it was surprising to me.  I thought they might have had a little more class.  I guess I was way off on that one.

Alright, Memphis.  What do you have planned for the near future?  The long term? Any goals, anything you have in mind?

Ah man, yeah.  We're working on Renegade gear right now, man.  There's a lot of stuff in the works already.  That'll be coming out soon.  I'm going to get back working with the company I worked for, ASB Entertainment, which is an amazing company here in LA.  I've got a couple other adventures that I'm going to be doing, a couple of trips that I'm going to be taking.  I'm going to try and ease my way back into society.  I'm excited to be out, I'm excited to be back to my life and stuff.  You'll definitely hear from me some more, for sure.

Alright Memphis, I appreciate you taking the time.

Alright, man.

See ya.

Later.

From NorthernStar:

Favorite moments from 'Big Brother 10'
By JEN HANCE

It is officially over. “Big Brother 10” is complete.

As of Wednesday night, the doors of the Big Brother house opened, and the winner emerged. After watching every episode religiously of CBS’s “Big Brother 10,” it was hard to say goodbye to the 13 houseguests I have grown to love over the summer.

I am happy to announce, however, that the winner of the show was Dan, my personal favorite. He became my favorite because he was not only cunning, he was likeable.

It was a blast watching Dan torment the crap out of hairdresser Renny, the oldest woman in the house, as he put on her clothes and mocked her. Dan shined again when he ticked off Michelle and Ollie with his ridiculous “replacement nominee roulette” speech. No one ever knew what that guy was going to do next, and that probably had something to do with him walking away with the prize.

When asked what he would do with the $500,000 prize money, the first thing he said was that he was going to buy a ring for his beloved girlfriend.

As the season comes to a close, I am left with some of my favorite memories from the season:

5. The sock puppet show that Brian put on with Memphis, Angie, and Dan right before he was evicted.

They all got together, made sock puppets, and performed dead-on impersionations of the people least liked in the house. It was hilarious and fun to see everyone having a good time together.

4. Keesha’s Laugh
Though this was one of the worst things on the show, it was too priceless when they showed footage of everyone mocking her laugh in the diary room. Jerry had the funniest impersionation, because his voice is so messed up he couldn’t get any audible sounds out, he just ended up hissing... which brings me to number three.

3. Hissy
While most cast members were excited to win HOH to see photos of their families, or read letters from their loved ones, the thing that Jerry was happiest to see was a Beanie Baby snake. He then went on to describe the antagonizingly long story behind the little guy. Almost every houseguest fell asleep listening to the horrible tale trying to win Jerry over. “Oh Hissy...”

2. Renny sleepwalking and eating.
Crazy old Renny was caught sleepwalking by Memphis and Keesha as she was eating an Almond Joy and almost ate a ping pong ball.

1. When Jerry fell into the pool.
This had to be one of the funniest moments of the entire show, even though I felt bad for laughing at a man that probably almost broke his hip

From buddytv.com (not uploading videos cuz they are not from CBS, they are youtubes)

The 5 Worst Moments of 'Big Brother 10'

In downtown Seattle today, I witnessed a line around one full city block, hundreds and hundreds of seemingly normal human beings waiting to be let in somewhere.  I had no idea what they were in line for – I assumed someone important was speaking somewhere (Sarah Palin?  Flavor Flav?).  Only later did I discover that there was no celebrity, no important speaker – these people were waiting in line for the opening of a brand new clothing store.  Some Sweden-born establishment that apparently sells reasonably affordable apparel; I presume it's basically an Ikea for clothes.  Point being – I will never understand people.  The behavior of usually normal men and women never ceases to baffle and amaze.  Why would a person wait in line for hours to enter a new clothing store?  Why would a reality TV show contestant go ballistic over what they know is a game?

Big Brother 10 had its fair share of insane moments.  The behavior of Big Brother houseguests is always a curiosity, simply because to want to appear on Big Brother you have to be wired in a very specific way.  Again – it is a type of person I will never begin to understand.  I've written about it before, but I still can't get over how mad people get over what is essentially a very silly game.  It's a game, and people are trying to win – why even bother to make it personal?

In concocting the Top 5 Worst Moments of Big Brother 10, I had a lot of material to choose from.  Clearly, my list is probably going to be vastly different from yours.  Please, feel free to add your two cents in the comments section below.  I decided to define “worst” as "the worst examples of human behavior over the course of the Big Brother season.”  I've embedded videos when available.  Get started below.

5.
Repeatedly.  Jerry, even though CBS didn't completely paint him as a saint, they did give a more favorable edit than they needed to.  But, when it comes to something like Jerry calling Dan Judas during the Power of Veto meeting, all CBS had to do was roll the tape.  Jerry was fully capable of hanging himself.  Jerry lied and called people awful names, then had the gall to call Dan, perhaps the most morally sound person in the game, Judas.  It was uncalled for, and a little bit jarring.  It was a testament to Dan's good attitude that he was able to react so calmly to Jerry's name-calling.

4.
Clearly, I will not be showing video of this.  Ollie, supposedly a religious and decent person, was not above participating in live amateur porn on a nearly nightly basis.  April – I would have believed it.  After all, she was the one who, minutes into meeting her fellow houseguests, allowed anyone who desired it to grab a handful of her bosom.  She was subsequently fondled by a giddy 75 year-old man, and April couldn't have been more happy about it.  These are quality individuals, right?  It's not only the fact that April and Ollie constantly knocked boots while live feeders watched, it's that April and Ollie (mostly April) were so judgmental of everyone else in the house.  Once you fornicate in front of thousands of strangers, you lose your right to question your fellow houseguests' behavior.

3.
Michelle, oh my.  I don't want to slander her.  She just seems naïve and a little bit misguided.  She was a conspiracy master, and an underrated narcissist.  Her raging Diary Room diatribe, in which she brutally questioned Libra's parenting ability simply because she decided to participate on Big Brother, leaving her small children at home, was disgraceful stuff.  As CBS smartly showed, Libra's husband and mother were both fully supportive of Libra going on Big Brother and were also more than capable of taking care of the kids in Libra's absence.  I hope Michelle feels really stupid when she goes back and watches that episode

2.
April and Michelle, while watching the DVD of house events at the jury house, mercilessly belittled Keesha.  They called her fat, assassinated her character, and came across as a pair of Grade-A bitches.  Just watch the video, I think it speaks for itself.

1.
Ollie, after Dan reneged on his word and back-doored Michelle, went absolutely nuts.  Just like the people waiting in line for cheap Swedish clothes, Ollie's behavior in the below video is utterly befuddling.  Enjoy.

This is purely FYI

Sharon and Jacob has broken up. (yes, again!)

Jen and Ryan broke up as you all probably know.

Neil and his BF broke up.

Just about all BB9 hg's are currently single. Seems that group can't maintain a relationship, lol!

The Fox Really Awards will air live on 10/11 and I think the nominations will be announced this week and will post as soon I find out. I am sure BB9 and BB10 will get a handful of nominations. I did find out that Dick will be a presenter and will be giving out the award for Entertainer of the Year.

Well, I just found out the nominations are out but Fox Reality is not releasing the list yet because Crazy James said in his blog he had to postpone leaving for Paris until Friday in order to attend the awards tomorrow night which is being filmed to air on 10/11 so it won't be live. James said he's nominated but didn't say what category. I will keep checking to get the list of nominees.

James' farewell party is tonight at Bar 107 in L.A.

Steven and Brian are doing a radio chat tonight to recap the finale, wrap party and the BB bash in Vegas if anybody wants to listen at www.blogtalkradio.com/bigbrotherafterdark at 9pm EST.
