A BIG RFF :welcome2: to all our new Mole Hunters!

I'm on West Coast time this week so will be avoiding this thread tonight (at least till way later) --so y'all have fun!

And you know, some of us really need to recap these episodes  (as I frantically try to remember who did what last week! :lol3:)

Only $250/brick? Ouch

Nicole packs 7 bricks, and then decides she cant do it within 5 minutes

Selfish Team reaches summit first. 23 Bricks.

Selfless Team reaches summit with 30 seconds left. 34 Bricks

WOW.

1 Exemption. The selfish team needs to decide unanimously who gets it, or all the money won will be forfeited, and no exemption will be given

All the guys except Clay were on one team, everyone else on the other.

Each team had to take a number of bricks to the top of the mountain.

Each brick = $250 for the pot.

First team up to the top earned Exemption.

Halfway up, Jon stopped them and told them they had to take a scale up with them. One weighed 10lbs, one weighed 20lbs. The girls team got to Jon first, and got to pick which scale they took, without actually picking them up to figure out which was lighter.

Jon took all the journals, and left the contestants to eat their dinner.

He came back, gave everyone their journals back, and read off some quotes to people. They had to guess who wrote whatever quote about them.

The person who wrote the clue was not allowed to give any hints of any kind.

They managed to get 4 out of 5 (Each worth 2000) but Nicole gave some obvious hints, so they lost her 2000.

Then, the group was escorted outside to a bonfire. Jon told them to pick one persons journal. Alex gave up his, because he never uses it.

Then Jon took Alex's journal, and asked him to collect all the other journals which were then put on a table and burned to a crisp.

Mark freaked out.

Yeah, I suppose it is and my instincts were right the first time expect the on that I had marked Victoria must be Nicole and the one I have marked Nicole must be Paul? So with that I think I'll stick with spoiling the Amazing Race !
I admit, I am not Molish  :funny:

I would love to know who victoria was 5 seconds off with.  They would not have given her the exemption anyways... but curious how clay would have done.  She was smiling when they called her name and I was like she seems to know something.  But I thought she was the mole at that point and knew she was safe.

I'll bet Victoria was slower than Nicole.  She mentioned going as fast as she possibly could while they were taking the quiz.

As for me ... wow!  Color me surprised!  Victoria was one of my top suspects ... though not the only one!  I'm looking at Clay and Craig now, mostly Craig.

The map for Ep4 is up, since I've taken it as far as I can. A couple of notes:
  • Cabanas--even riverside cabanas--are not rare in that area, but the restaurant give it away: compare the exit photo below with the restaurant at the Pueblo del Rio
  • I didn't have as much luck with the book burn. The Estancia de Elias parrilla is described as being on Ruta 7, km 1146, across from the gas station; so I put the mark on the town center. And the burn itself was at a generic riverbank with a brick building; without any good photos, I just took a guess.
Everybody knows Penitentes, of course. And as I noted earlier, real gold bars weigh a lot more than 5 lbs.

This actually only helps confirm my suspicions for Mark because of how vital that journal was to him. To throw a fit about it then continue on the game as if nothing had happened is just a tad suspicious. . .

I mean, if I used the journal that much and I lost it, I probably would've given up!
