No, that it is PERFECT!!! See, it is on the route from the train station to the bridge!   :jumpy: :jumpy:

Good job!

I went right by this today because it didn't match the red arch in the bus pic.

But oddly enough, it keeps coming up in the Dong Ba market pics!

Oh, with this I think it is nearly certain that they go > get cyclos at train station>past school>over bridge> to Imperial Musem.

So almost certain train Saigon to Hue, too!

Good job peach & puddin.

Just for kicks, here is a panoramic view of the school (if you can believe GE - Panoramio).  I think you can see the gate (or maybe not) if you enlarge it in a photo editor.   :funny:

Good job Puddin!  It's a solid match

Here is the new time for the bridge shot (new calculation needed due to source shot being inverted):

This shot was taken between 2:52 and 3:21 pm (assumes May 25th).

damn schools  (:;)  OK, but here's one for y'all....  assuming the school/gate are on the south side of the road from the train station to the bridge, why are they going in the wrong direction (back in the direction of the station) ???   Is this image flipped?   :duno:

And Boingo, maybe they got off course and they are having a hard time with the cyclo?  :duno:

So I'm going back to my dragon boats (far fetched I know)

Hue Dragon Boats
Vietnam - Hoi An - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Hue, the imperial city complex famed being the capital of the Nguyen dynasty of Vietnam attracts a great number of tourists every year. Lying on the coastal region of Vietnam, as well as being almost bisected by the Perfume River, and having a great number of canals in the city, water transportation in Hue is one of the most popular means of traveling. And, the Hue Dragon Boats are a wonderfully exciting way to travel in Hue, while on an excursion to see the monuments and historical sites.

Hue Dragon Boats are long-tailed and colorful boats, mostly shaped like dragons, which travel on the Perfume River. A great part of Hue's appeal lies in its river life, with its many houseboats, sampans, and these awesome Dragon Boats. Hue Dragon Boats are perhaps the best way to see Hue, especially since one can enjoy not only the visits of the historical sights, but also get to be a part of Hue's daily life on the waters of the River, as one passes these sampans on their way to the markets and back.

A trip down the Perfume River on the Hue Dragon Boats takes you to visit the most famous tourist attractions in Hue, and include Linh Mu (Thien Mu) pagoda, Hon Chen Temple, Tu Duc Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb. Many other sights in the nearby environs of Hue, like Thuan An Beach, and several of the Royal Tombs, can be reached by the Dragon Boats on the River.

Hue Dragon Boats stop at each of these places for about half-an-hour, allowing the passengers to get down and visit the temples, and tombs. Once on the bank, one can hire motorbike taxis to get to the actual place.

Hue Dragon Boats can be hired for 25,000 VND for an all-day cruise, which starts at 8-00 am, and finishes by around 3-00 pm. The cost includes pick-up from the hotels, lunch, and drinks. However, entrance fees for the various sights are not included.

Looks like a wind fence  (all I can think is tatami mats, lol)...

Some of the Hue "garden houses" talked about wind screen fences...

:funny:  you two are funny... tatami...   :groan:  OK, back to reality.

Certainly screams Hue, but where... pitstop hotel, restaurant, other....   also depends on where the pitstop is... seeing that they started out in downtown Hue and then went to the tomb, they might stay at a hotel nearby.  Coincidently, there is a boutique hotel near the tomb, The Pilgrimage Village Hotel & Spa.  If not, then it's back to Hue.  If TARA's budget is anything like TAR, then look for 4 and 5 star hotels ONLY.  The bamboo thingie may be at the hotel.

That's the Thai Hoa palace in the background. If you look the opposite direction through the Ngo Mon gate, you can see the spot where the cluebox was.
