  • It's super effective!
(^) Cuba can't be visited.

Why not?

Strict immigration laws for US citizens. US citizens will need a license to get in to Cuba.

Strictly speaking, that is really not true. US Citizens can go to Cuba......they just cant spend any money without a license....same with WRP. The main obstacle is WRP has to spend money, in Cuba, to make the race.....and that is against the law. It is an economic blockade.

Pretty sure I haven't made a winter-related route yet, so:

START: Albuquerque, NM (with a starting task involving hot air ballooning).
Leg 1: to Fiji (also known as 'let's get the swimsuit leg done while the teams chosen for looks are still racing  )
Leg 2: to Bangkok, Thailand (partly for geographic convenience, partly because the legs in Bangkok aside from the one in TAR2 have been...not great, and partly to facilitate the next leg)
Leg 3: to Luang Prabang, Laos via Chiang Rai, Thailand (bus ride to CR along with a...RB, let's say. In my view they drive once in Laos but I could easily see another form of transport to Luang Prabang)
Leg 4: to Vientiane, Laos (a nice, simple, straight forward leg to explore the laid-back nature of Laos as well as to prepare teams for the next leg)
Leg 5: to Dunhuang, China via Urumqi, China (ideally the first clue is 'make your way to the most inland city in the world'; in general, travel to and from Dunhuang is going to be brutal, so at some point I'd have charter flights or buses or something since the location is perfect for the obligatory desert leg)
Leg 6: to Perth, Australia (there hasn't really been an Australian leg in the 'middle' of the race except maybe TAR2, and by that time there were only 5 teams left. Of the cities in Australia, Perth is less likely to facilitate backtracking, especially with the next destination.)
Leg 7: to Harare, Zimbabwe (we haven't had a real 'urban' leg in Africa since Accra in TAR 17, and Zimbabwe in general is becoming somewhat less dangerous to visit.)
Leg 8: to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (...so why not have two legs there?  A Switchback to the first tasks of TAR? Why not?)
Leg 9: to Swaziland via Durban, South Africa (Durban is essentially a transportation node, but since there's a decent amount to do in Durban it wouldn't be appear to be the time waster that it was  ;))
Leg 10: to St. Andrews, Scotland via Aberdeen, Scotland (I imagine a ride down the Scottish coast, during which point there is absolutely a golf task)
Leg 11: to Dover, England via Glasgow, Scotland (starting off at night with alcohol possibly involved  :jam: and ending in Kent, with a RB and/or extra task centered around the Canterbury Tales since they love 'themed' legs in the UK)
Leg 12: to Denali National Park, AK via Anchorage, AK (most of the winter finales end in a warm city for obvious reasons; I'd like to see at least one full final leg be ran within a wintery climate. Plus, a finish in the remote national park allows for self driving so that viewers can quit complaining about cursed taxis)

"5 continents, (11 countries with 4 new), 22 cities, 38,000 miles, (insert team I can only tolerate slightly) you've won the Amazing Race!"

This is my ideal itinerary for the Race:

Leg 1: US (Philadelphia)-Philippines (Manila)
Leg 2: Philippines (Baguio or Cebu, because Americans are not allowed or cautioned in going to Mindanao.)
Leg 3: Philippines - Singapore
Leg 4: Singapore - Qatar
Leg 5: Qatar - South Africa (Johannesburg)
Leg 6: South Africa (Cape Town)
Leg 7: Denmark (Aarhus)
Leg 8: Denmark - United Kingdom (prolly Cardiff or Swansea but definitely in the Wales area because they haven't been there before.)
Leg 9: United Kingdom - Spain (Barcelona)
Leg 10: Spain (Madrid or if they want, The Canary Islands!)
Leg 11: Spain - Uruguay (Montevideo)
Leg 12: Uruguay - US (Dallas)

I really want the Race to be back in the Philippines.   :(

But to keep up with those that has themes, I propose the following route that has the FIFA World Cup hosts theme:

Leg 1: US (Pontiac Silverdome, which hosted the first match) - Mexico (Mexico City, Estadio Azteca)
Leg 2: Mexico - Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Maracana)
Leg 3: Brazil - Uruguay (Montevideo, Estadio Centenario)
Leg 4: Uruguay - Argentina (Buenos Aires, Estadio Monumental)
Leg 5: Argentina - South Africa (Johannesburg, Soccer City)
Leg 6: South Africa - Spain (Madrid, Bernabeu)
Leg 7: Spain - United Kingdom (London, Wembley)
Leg 8: United Kingdom - Switzerland (Bern, Wankdorf Stadium)
Leg 9: Switzerland - Sweden (Stockholm, Rasunda)
Leg 10: Sweden - South Korea (Daegu, Daegu WC Stadium)
Leg 11: South Korea - Japan (Yokohama, Yokohama International)
Leg 12: Japan - US (Pasadena, Rose Bowl)

Isn't it cute? A different country per leg?
What is the worst thing about being you?
It is the fact that you are not ME!

I have been working on this for a while! :gaah: I hope it came out good. I think this would be good for TAR 22.

Leg 1: Salzburg, Austria (11-10)
Leg 2: Wroclow, Poland (10-9)
Leg 3: Poland (Rural Leg) (9-8)
Leg 4: Busan, South Korea (8-7) (Double U-Turn )
Leg 5: Angkor, Cambodia (NEL) (Fast Forword)
Leg 6: Christchurch, New Zealand (7-6)
Leg 7: Apai, Samoa (6-5) (fast forward)
Leg 8: Florianopolis, Brazil (DOUBLE LEG)
Leg 9: Florianopolis, Brazil (5-4) (Double u-Turn )
Leg 10: Cusco/Machu Picchu, Peru (4-3)
Leg 11: Guatemala City, Guatemala (NEL)
Leg 12: Houston, USA (3-1)

About the final 3 non-elimination: I figure that in the winter editions of TAR, there will have to be a 2 hour finale to make up for the week lost for the Country Music Awards. Why not have there be three teams? Also, I think it would be interesting to see a team perform a speed bump in the final leg. :)

Leg 1: USA  (Washington DC) - Finland (Helsinki)
Leg 2: Finland - Latvia (Riga)
Leg 3: Latvia - Greece (Greek Islands)
Leg 4: Greece - Morocco (1/2 Desert, 1/2 Marrakesh)
Leg 5: Morocco - South Africa (Cape Town)
Leg 6: South Africa ('Wildlife leg')
Leg 7: South Africa - Qatar (Doha)
Leg 8: Qatar - New Zealand (Aukland)

Leg 10: New Zealand - Laos (Vientiane)

A combination of new countries (Laos, Qatar, Latvia) and countries that haven't been seen in a while (Canada <3, New Zealand, South Africa, Morocco, Finland). And, in all fairness, Beijing hasn't been visited for a while, TAR14 I believe.
