That said "single U-Turn for both" Detours doesn't really work to me; if everyone chooses the same detour to start (or if only one person chooses side A vs side B) then it renders it pointless. You would have to force each task to be limited station which seems like a cop out.

Let me rephrase that. There would be 2 different U-turns. So there would a detour related rural/farmland China with a U-turn board and a detour about the inner city with a U-turn board. Teams can only get u-turned once in this leg, so no one can get u-turned at both boards.

Haven't made one of these in a while, but here's mine for Season 31/32 (US TAR)

Basically, the format I used was 4 Legs in Europe, 4 Legs in Asia, and 2 in either Africa or South America. 3 of the 10 legs must be in the same one as the country before it. In total, this race expands across 7 countries (8 if you count the Vatican). Also, I list the cities/areas of where the pit stop is, not where the entire leg takes place at.

Starting Line ~ The Alamo
Leg 1: San Antonio, TX --> Accra, Ghana        (NEL)
Leg 2: Accra, Ghana --> Tema, Ghana        (Self Drive)
Leg 3: Tema, Ghana --> Palma, Spain   (Double U-Turn)
Leg 4: Palma, Spain --> Barcelona, Spain
Leg 5: Barcelona, Spain --> Rome, Italy --> The Vatican     (FF)
Leg 6: The Vatican --> Skopje, Macedonia    (NEL, Self Drive)
Leg 7: Skopje, Macedonia --> Hangzhou, China          (2 Detours, a single U-turn for both, 1 team can NOT be u-turned twice in this leg)
Leg 8: Hangzhou, China
Leg 9: Hangzhou, China --> Davao City, Philippines     (Last NEL)
Leg 10: Davao City, Philippines --> Port Vila, Vanuatu    (Double Road Block)
Leg 11: Port Vila, Vanuatu --> San Diego, CA
Finish Line ~ California Tower at Balboa Park

As always, all feedback is welecomed

I'm sorry to be mean, Erebus, but I just think is just, to boring? You only go 4 continents. I'm not sure I would watch this season, TBH
Ghana, Mallorca, Rome + Vatican, MACEDONIA, Philippines, VANUATU and you say this is boring???
Mkay bye.

North America: USA
Africa: Ghana
Europe: Spain, Italy, Vatican, Macedonia
Asia: China, Philippines
Oceania: Vanuatu
:)

It doesn't have Australia x2, so of course its boring!!!!!11

I suppose then my issue is, since you have two legs in Hangzhou anyway, why bother with a double Detour leg? One leg stays in the city (with U-Turn), one leg is in the tea plantations and whatnot (with U-Turn). I could see this working in a case where it's *one* leg (preferably self-driving) in an entire region (like the Greece leg in TAR 29; have the first Detour and U-Turn in Arachova just like in reality and have the second Detour/U-Turn after the stadium task.

That said if you're keen to keep it, just have a single leg in Hangzhou and the second leg somewhere else I guess. ???

You didn't need to do that Erebus.

I am also sorry to you and every one else, who might have been hurt by my comments. I didn't mean them to go that way.

Belarus deserves a visit <3
But it would be slightly hard to plan due to the visa requirement and idk if WRP would bother with that these days.

With all the drama and controversiality, it's all the more reason to NOT visit Russia right now.

I had this really weird idea of having an entire season of TAR in America, for some reason. Maybe they could make a spin off and call it The American Race? I don't know. My basis for this race was that at least to legs had to be in each area of America (West, Mountain States, Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast). If anyone else wants to try and make a season based on this, go ahead. Maybe I've been watching Season 8 too much.

Starting Line ~ Echo Park
Leg 1: Los Angeles, CA --> Long Beach, CA (Self Drive)
Leg 2: Long Beach, CA --> Seattle, WA
Leg 3: Seattle, WA --> Salt Lake City, UT
Leg 4: Salt Lake City, UT --> Santa Fe, NM
Leg 5: Santa Fe, NM --> Madison/Wisconsin Dells, WI
Leg 6: Madison, WI --> Chicago, IL (Self Drive)
Leg 7: Chicago, IL --> Baltimore, MD
Leg 8: Baltimore, MD --> Washington D.C. (Self Drive)
Leg 9: Washington D.C. --> Richmond, VA
Leg 10: Richmond, VA --> Nashville, TN
Leg 11: Nashville, TN --> Orlando, FL
Finish Line ~ Raymond James Stadium

All feedback is welcomed

Don't torture teams by having them self-drive to or in DC  :funny:
Instead torture teams by forcing them to ride Amtrak and then public transportation for the duration of the leg.   :sab

Also the only issue I have is one that would apply to this kind of race in general, which is that there's too many areas of America to distill into 12 legs IMO. You've got a very good attempt (certainly better than FE having multiple legs in the Southeast and in MST land) but I feel like it's the kind of thing that would make for an ongoing series, much like how TAR Canada attempts to organize their race.

I've been thinking about an Amazing Race in the states for so long. We have so much interesting scenery and history that they could do at least 10 seasons here. Plus there would probably be a whole lot more sightings.

The official show is unlikely to return to a USA-only race after Family Edition, but I've always wanted to see a version of the race around the US organized and ran by a fan.

I wish we have another Amazing Race in the States.....

Expect it should be called 'The Amazing American Race', which is what Erebus said

I'd actually like a spin-off of TAR in US areas only, but it might not be a success after TAR8. :(

Meanwhile, I wish TAR is not always having pre-detour U-turns or W-turns. I'd like a mix of it depending where it fits best. Also, not having them announced on any clue would be a great surprise factor in my opinion.

I'd like to see this one. Unknown U-Turn, it could end up in rash decisions.

Here's some more stuff I thought of for American Race.

1. New Leg

Because of my twist, I added a new first leg that would be from Honolulu, HI --> Los Angeles, CA.
Also apologies to ZBC because I didn't think a map of my route would be made. The starting line will be along a beach.

2. The Pitstops
Leg 1: Echo Park
Leg 2: The Walter Pyramid
Leg 3: Space Needle
Leg 4: The Tracy Aviary
Leg 5: San Miguel Chapel
Leg 6: Noah's Ark Water Park (After RB with Point of No Return Slide)
Leg 7: The Field Museum
Leg 8: Fort McHenry
Leg 9: Rock Creek Park
Leg 10: Petersburg National Park
Leg 11: Centennial Park
(Note, with the exception of leg 5, there are no challenges related to each location, other than getting there. That way, detours and road blocks can relate to other famous places in each city).

3. 'Twist'
Like the recent season 29, teams are formed at start with 22 random strangers

Legs 1, 4, and 8 will be non elimination, with leg 2 being a double elimination

Leg 3 will have 2 detours, with a u-turn board at the start of each detour. No information other than location will be given about the detours. You can only u-turn a team once and any team that is u-turned at the first board will NOT be u-turned at the second board. No teams will know about the u-turn boards ahead of time. Leg 7 will be a normal double u-turn.

Leg 6 will have the FF

Leg 11 will have two roadblocks.

Erebus, your idea of 2 detours and 2 single u-turns in a single leg sound amazing to me, but...
It would be really hard to execute, if we try to imagine it in actual TAR. Just imagine a scenario, where the 1st team passes the first board without u-turning, but decides to u-turn at the second board, without knowing that a certain team was already u-turned after they left.
Or, even, the 1st-place team might be so in front that they u-turn somebody at the second board BEFORE someone else arrives at the first board and u-turns the same team.
