I miss making a set of rules for wishlist routes. :conf: If you're seeing this for the first time, make a route while following these restrictions:
1.) Should start and end in Europe but in different countries.
2.) Should have an equal, or almost-equal, split of urban and rural legs. (Please indicate.)
3.) Should visit at least one nation that is not a member of the UN. (There are only 3. ;) )
4.) Should be able to visit 4 or more continents in a maximum of 13 legs. (You can still do 12 legs.)
5.) Should cross exactly 3 oceans.
Thanks in advance, and be creative! :jam: Have fun too! :bounce

Then the memory game (maybe one of the memory games) will involve teams remembering their placements in the languages Phil told them. :funny:

Can't sleep so I attempted a TAR 30 bound by what CBS usually does and what people usually complain about:

START: Joshua Tree National Park, CA
LA start BUT because of how flights are set up leaving LAX for points west, I figure this would be a time to give teams a Detour in LA so that the first flight separation is due to skill more than luck driving around LA.

Leg 1: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
While I *liked* the half-leg in Kuala Lumpur in That One Season I feel like every leg needs to be redeemed in some way so here we are ^_^

Leg 2: Kathmandu, Nepal
Because georgiapeach keeps insisting upon it. Fairly short, stress-free leg to contrast with the possible chaos of KL and lead up to...

Leg 3: Khumjung, Nepal
So I did the math and, assuming that no one is severely unfit, teams can make the hike to and from Lukla and still fit the filming schedule but only if this leg ends with a KOR  :cheer:

Leg 4: Mumbai, India
After TAR 27 there aren't any Rape Trains but there's still everything you need for teams to get Killer Fatigue really quickly.

Leg 5: Sigulda, Latvia
Not only is it weirdly unvisited (you'd think Latvia would fit in, say, 21 instead of Turkey) but it's relatively inexpensive and has a lot of cool cultural things even if the leg itself is going to trend towards 'fun sport things'

Leg 6: Malmo / Gothenburg, Sweden
aka the leg in which I hate the racers:
- teams travel by ferry from Riga to Stockholm
- teams "make their way" to Malmo
- then teams drive ~500 km up Sweden, doing Product Placement Car tasks and whathaveyou, finishing in Gothenburg (and then someone is eliminated :()

Leg 7: Aksum, Ethiopia
Why have we not gone back here yet?

Leg 8: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
See above PLUS the timing is right for this leg to start in the afternoon, which gives us, if I'm thinking correctly, the first nighttime urban African leg <3

Leg 9: Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina
...in order to make up for the expensive trip to Sweden and the one that will follow shortly plus I think Bosnia in general works as a summer destination.

Leg 10: Split, Croatia
Standard "here's a fun leg on the beach that actually sucks sorry!" leg.

Leg 11: Toronto, Canada
BAM. RB involving climbing up that tower thing, ARI involving a game of Multicultural Bingo, and various other assorted vaguely Canadian tasks <3

Leg 12: Seattle, Washington
Again - how have we NOT finished here yet, especially with the number of west-to-east seasons filmed in summer that we've gotten recently? I feel like structurally this would be similar to the TAR 27 leg, where there's an ARI / Detour in Seattle (probably involving sustainability or coffee or fish) and midleg elimination if needed, then a ferry ride to the scenic San Juan islands for another ARI / RB / ARI and the finish along one of the beautiful capes above the Puget Sound. Given the number of artisans on the island the final memory task could be like Canada 2 where they have to match the artwork to each leg.

I think Latvia would fit for TAR 29 visit that makes the Baltic combo will complete, as its way long overdue since the start of HD-era.

Well, I said I planned on making a full scale race, so here it is. Or at least, leg 1.

Leg 1: San Jose, US of A --> Beijing, China

Starting Line ~ Alum Rock Park

Route Info: Teams will have to board one of three flights to Bejing, China. Once there, they'll have to make their way to Beihai Park. Once there, they'll have to a draw # for when the park opens. Then they can start looking for their next clue.

Detour: Teams will have a choice between Tea Time or Free Time
Tea Time: Teams will have to make their way to the Laoshe Tea House where they'll have to perform two different tasks. (One person per task) 1. Set up a Gongfu tea table for display including accessories as well as pour tea properly into the display 2. Prepare tea for the display. Once both tasks are done, they'll receive their next clue.
Free Time: Teams will make their way to JingShan Park where they'll have to finish creating a traditional Chinese kite. Once it is approved by a judge, teams will have to keep their kite flying in the air for 3 minutes. (Constantly moving) Oce the three minutes are up, they'll receive their next clue.

Route info: Teams will have to make their way to the Great Wall of China to receive their next clue just outside of the entrance to the park.

Detour 2 (Throwback: Teams will have a choice of Flat or Steep
Flat: Teams will have to walk to a long, flat path to a far away marked pavilion for the next clue.
Steep: Teams will have to take a much shorter but extremely steep path to the closer marked pavilion for the next clue.

Pit Stop:  Teams will have to make their way to the Summer Palace for the pit stop. (NEL)
