I really love the first half of the race (Ireland-Latvia-Slovakia-Qatar-South Africa-Nepal). The countries are fresh, exciting, and the new countries definitely need to be visited.

Slowhatch:
I like the idea of an aircraft boneyard. There's one at Mojave; it's some distance from LAX but not as far as the Santa Ynez drive. There's a photo of SpaceshipOne here: you can see the boneyard in the background.

Ooo! Yes, a Starting Line, definitely.  They must have a task there though, it would be a stunning place.  (Especially if they used TARAu/TARC cameras/editing or whatever it is :))
