from what I gathered as I read from the site, TARLA will play according to either TAR5 or TAR6 rules (detour, roadblock, fast forward and yield), it doesn't say if the yields or fast forwards will be available in all or select legs nor the penalty for NELs
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

Can you imagine if TAR, TARA, TAR Israel, TAR LA and if they ever got TAR Eur going all filming at once using the same red and yellow flags, the same route markers, the same mats and even some of the same production crews? It would lead to plenty of confusion.

Well, let's see...

This fall we had TARA 3 and TAR 13 airing, TAR 14 and TAR Israel running, all at the same time! And add in Survivor, and any peach lapses can easily be explained, right? :iok

More is NOT always simultaneously better!

There should be a sticky for the spotters and newcomers: "This is what USA TAR looks like, and this is a list of the franchises/decoys/clones/copycats."

Other versions of The Amazing Race
« Reply #31 on: November 27, 2009, 02:10:16 AM »
I thought we had Other Versions of The Amazing Race somewhere around here?
Came across this ....

Budget Helps French "Amazing Race"!!
2009.11.17 Tuesday
A late night call came into Budget Video Rentals for eleven HD Sony XDCAM and Panasonic broadcast camera packages, complete with wide angle and 40X HD lenses, two dozen Lectrosonic 400/411 systems and more. They wanted the entire equipment package hand carried and baggage couriered by eleven passengers immediately to Quito, Ecuador in South America.

A French "Amazing Race" major production had all their 11 cameras stuck in customs at the Quito airport for a week so far. They were anxious to put their entire staff and crew to work making their television show. Seven days hanging out in a hotel was long enough

The production group decided to shoot only a teaser the next day. This required only three camera packages and couriers to fly them. Budget Video had the three hand-carried cameras on the next flight. The following day we had the other eight packages completely prepped and ready to fly (see picture at the airport!).

As the tickets were being printed the phone call came back from South America. They had released the French cameras at customs! After ten days! Our crew and gear were told to stand down. Of course there was disappointment on the part of the eight who were going to an expenses paid "vacation" but it was also good news that the craziness of South American customs finally was tamed.

Call us regardless of the craziness of your order. We are ready to solve the biggest or smallest of production challenges. Our BudgetVideo.com website is also available at www.RentACamera247.com!

WHat was that French production that we had tracked in Season 14??  It isn't Amazing Race but similar...

The French show is called Pékin Express.  http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A9kin_Express

It is originally Dutch/Belgian. There is also Spanish and Swedish/Norwegian/Danish versions of this show. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peking_Express

I sometimes watch the French version on TV5MONDE which is an international French channel.

Yeah, Because it wasn't broadcasted worldwide. Just shown in France and some other European countries? But I watched one season of Peking Express in a french channel (cable tv) in the Philippines.

I live in Norway so I could`ve watched the Scandinavian version.

Well there's TAR Latin America, Hamertoz Lamillion (TAR Israel), and TARA. I think TAR is following the style TARA (not a good idea).
What we need is TAR Europe and TAR Africa, which could possibly be filled in by TAR Israel in its second season. TARA should visit Oceania and the Middle East (if possible) more as well.

Look what it is and where? Chile

After many miles in the desert I came up on this film crew. They were shooting a French TV show called Pekin Express. Much like Amazing Race, but more French.

this past Sunday we stumbled upon the taping of what I believe to have been the French, or possibly Portugese, version of the reality TV show “The Amazing Race”.

I tried to match the teams in the previous photo, I'm not seeing any matchs.

Season 5, Pekin Express (French version).

Quote

Their route: Ecuador, Chile, Argentina. Which messes up all our spoilers..!

I like their routes! Season 1 from Paris to Beijing, Season 2 from Beijing to Mumbai, Season 3 from Rio de Janeiro to Lima, Season 4 from Halong Bay to Bali...
