Ok, just some foot porn, and there was no nudity, but nevertheless, he was found on the site barefootguys and working under the name "David"

Big Brother 10 Spoilers Big Brother 8 - Mike Dutz doing Gay Foot Porn
Writing by simon on Sunday, 30 of March , 2008 at 10:13 pm
these pictures are taken by photographers for “stock” photos…meaning photographers compile archives of pictures of all sorts of things like a boxing match, or of snowboarding, of cars, buildings, trees, people, etc… companys contact the photographer to buy them when in need of a certain photo/s so they dont have to hire a photographer, creative designer, model, make-up/wardrobe...and use them…some companys will take advantage of the pics and put them up on some ****ed up sights…something they were never intended for ;but because of signing a modeling release (which is done on every photo shoot ever conducted) the pictures can be used in any print related material there is out there. They dont have permission to use the persons real name because it was never intended for that particular reason…the only time a real name is used is if the model actaually did a shoot for that particular reason/item. So they use a fake name to get away with it, and there is nothing in the power of the model or law to protect them from it…very ****ed up and unfortunate that people get taken advantage of in this way. So before jumping to conclusions, get the facts on how this messed up industry works, a model does a legit job which is blown out into something that is completely different from what it was originally intended.

 :waves: Hello Rlj508 and welcome

Yes it is unfortunate when your imagines are sold in the most awkward manner causing that kind of embarrassment but that is the models ultimate decision.

I don’t believe Mike was that naive to not understand that his photos can and will be used in this manner.

Therefore perhaps Mike should have gotten the facts straight not me.

Maybe we should forward the definition of “stock” photos to Mike as I understand the definition.

Thank you kindly for your post

Just because you know the definition of what stock photography means doesnt mean you should ultimately consider it will be used in a dregrading manner against you.  Again, stock photographs are a very commen type of shoot in modeling...What is unfortunate, which is what happened in the case with Mike, is he was simply led on to believe it was stock photos with the theme being feet.  At times the body may be in the picture, but out of focus, with the detail concentrating on the feet.  There should have been no reason to ever believe this type of imagery would then be sold to some perverted website.  There are plenty of uses for companies to need images of feet in various positions and also for artists use.    This is a cold hard case of being taken advantage of!  Images of anyone could be turned around on them and make it look to be something it wasnt...think about it...what if a model was contacted for stock images of hands, and then those images get put up on some site called "barehandguys"....WOW suddenly it looks as if this model was hired by the site to pose for them when in fact its all a bunch of bogus ****.  People are ruthless in the modeling industry and dont give a **** about who they hurt or destroy along the way as long as its making them money and getting them ahead in the world.  Another thing that is unfortunate are these forums which completely misconstrue things and thats how rumors begin...they aide in helping destroy the persons image, work, and life.  If thats what makes people feel like a good person and accomplished each day, then go ahead and do so.  But I would hope we could all have an open mind, which I know is impossible, and realize there are two sides to every story...people just tend to believe what they think is corupt because its more interesting...I thought people (especially those into reality tv) would have realized by now most of everything you see is FAKE!  Turned around, edited, and misconstrued concepts, conversations, and actions.  So why do others tend to believe so much in what they see on the internet on some post?  I have no idea...and it leads me to believe these are the ones who need to be educated more, rather than Mike about a photoshoot, before adding their comments and opinons to something they have little to no knowledge about.  If you believe everything you see on TV, the news, in magazines and the internet..you're living in a fantasy land.   You contribute to problems and create them.  You're inadequate knowledge on subjects that do not relate to you can stop progression for others.  So I would urge anyone who wants to throw their two cents in, that they ask themselves...do i know facts, what is the source, will my actions possibly destroy the good of others, do I feel good about possibly hurting others, does talking about this issue and realzing the fact your reading this mean you have too much time on your hands which you should be doing something more productive with???  I'm not here to bash anyone for their opinions, maybe just try and help open up eyes a little.  And no, I dont ever visit or post on these forums...but heard about this nonesense and it needed to be straigtened out.

I totally agree with you rlj. I was a photographer for a bit before I had my first kid and we had to do closeups on things like feet, etc. And why not, the guy gets pedicures for a reason  If Mike really did this for this purpose, the way I see it - it puts food on the table :lol3:

Everyone is invited to post here rlj and we're glad to read your opinions and defense of Mike. He was a good guy and left way too soon last season. Do you know him personally?

ETA: BTW, I am properly chastised!

Thank you rlj508 for your information, and welcome to RFF.

Those of us involved in reality TV do understand the role of editing for sure, and how things can be edited to portray almost anything.

We also understand that sometimes reality TV stars make poor choices in what gigs they choose to accept.

I am definitely not going anywhere near that site to see what the fuss is but....

Are you saying that you have definitive information that Mike was clearly misled in this case? And did not choose to actively participate in this?

If so, we would be delighted to hear that, and to then help clarify any misunderstanding.

I can't imagine anything worse than to find yourself unknowingly involved in a porn site of any sort and understand your need to set the matter straight if that is the case.

There always are more sides to any story along with difference of opinions.

My point being is that it was Mike’s choice to be on reality tv namely Big Brother for whatever reasons he has.

He also has chosen to purse his career in modeling both are huge flags to an industry that is well known for it’s ruthlessness.

So I am not surprised that he has found himself in an unfortunate circumstance.

However it will remain Mikes choice to continue in this path if he finds it acceptable.

Otherwise  I wouldn’t bother complaining about it.

The nonsense will always be there for him if he chooses to be a part of it.

I for one believe he is more than a pretty face muscular body and poor choices.

So it does fall back to him.

He really should be considering what he plans to do from here on out.

Thank you for your opinion and education of photo sessions.  I understand your point and you provided some good information.  My only concern is the way you came across and decided to post about it.  You could have had a little more tact.  Could people posting here be doing something else, sure anyone doing anything could be doing something else.  The thing you need to think about when you are worried about our inadequate knowledge and telling us we like to hurt other people, is why are you any different with what you said.  We are a forum to talk about and discuss shows and people on the shows.  Everyone has something they like to do and if they like to talk about the shows they are watching you should not criticize.

If Mike thought no one would talk about him or that he would only get positive feedback he was naive about going on a reality show.  No matter if you are the good guy or the bad guy there are always going to be 2 opinions.  Our forum talks about the shows and people but we do not attack our member like some forums.

I hope you decide to stick around and post, if you have nothing else to do.

Texan I sooo agree with you.

Frankly I don’t have any interest in discussing this further as my eyes are open and nothing has convinced me to change my mind.

I stand behind my opinion and this forum.

I might add not impressed with anyone who tries to subject their opinion followed by an insult.

My opinion of that I will refrain from posting.

Thanks Blondie but I didn’t take it personal and am aware that he is addressing the house.

I just didn’t have a problem confronting this person and thought I would lend my support.

Other than that Mike is nearly 30 years old for goodness sake come on he's not a child to be that naive.

You bet there are people out there ready see Mike mess up, he’s better off admitting I made a poor choice and move on.

I would also like to know if Mike was misled in someway, but I will always defend our members and their choice of what they do with their time, or what their opinions are about past or present Big Brother Houseguest.   :kuss:

I can understand with stock photos a model doesn't know where it will end up unless there is publicity attached to the exposure. I've had my artwork stolen, and didn't even know it until I found it with Google. (Not that anything I do becomes a masterpiece!)
