Survivor Insider Episode 7 TRANSCRIPT
« on: March 12, 2004, 09:39:09 PM »
Do any of you ever read Markopolo's Transcripts of Survivor Insider? He's really funny and adds his own insights.. :D

Markopolo

WHEN THE SCHICK HITS THE FAN

Welcome to Survivor Insider, where if you played on your high school golf team, you get to bang the hot chick from Beaver, Pennsylvania.

BURNING QUESTIONS AFTER EPISODE 7

1) I was on the debate team in high school. Does that mean that I would get at least Alicia or Jenna Lewis?

2) I tried to freeze frame this, but I could have sworn that Probst gave Colby a butt slap on his way out of tribal council.

3) Speaking of Jeffy. Boy is he going to screw Mogo Mogo over for voting out his boy. He might "accidently" miss a few calls for Mogo Mogo. Kind of like the NBA conspiracy that always allows the Lakers to win or an SEC college football referee.

4) Tom misses his goats so soon? But I thought he didn't like Sue?

A FEW NOTES:

1) All archives of the Insider are available at Survivor Network www.londyscreations.com/survivornetwork/
Thanks to Larry Londy for the web space.

2) Thanks to all those who support me in this thread. It takes about 2-3 hours to do a transcript, and I enjoy the comments, good or bad. Remember, I do this FOR FUN. Though, if you diss me, I will come after you like Mariano swinging a golf club.

TRIBAL COUNCIL VOTES
------------------------------

Markopolo's note: GREAT votes tonight. This council clip is also the most interesting one yet because it shows the entire voting process. We see each member called out by Jeff. We see them walk to and from the voting booth. I hope they show the full clip like this every week.

Funny, but Colby takes a big gulp of water as Ethan goes to vote, like Colby thinks he's not going home in a second.

Also, check out Jerri's vote. Guess Colby didn't care about being in the game after all. (COUGH::Varner got it right) COUGH)

Ethan (votes Jerry): I think I spelled your name wrong, sorry (gives a pathetic smile and Britney Spears' "Oops I did again" shrug -- GUESS ETHAN CAN BLOW IT A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT WAYS; RICHARD HATCH MIGHT HAVE TO INQUIRE ABOUT ONE MORE). But Jerri, (gets serious), you're two-faced. Over at Saboga, you gave up. You threw in the towel. During that rainstorm, you quit. And since then, you haven't been the same. You come over to Mogo Mogo and you're a happy person. That can't happen. We can't trust that. I can't trust you. So, (pauses) bye!

Colby (votes Jerri): Just shrugs.

WHAT A WIMP, COLBY, WHERE WAS THAT PLANNED SPEECH, YA JACKASS!?

Shii Ann (votes Colby): (Shii rushes to voting booth) You have always underestimated my powers. Next time, instead of criticizing my game, why don't you spend some time analyzing your own? Then you'd realized that you never had control over anything at Mogo Mogo. Bye bye, Colby. (Shii SHARPLY folds her vote and walks quickly back to her seat).

Lex (votes Colby): (Lex walks slow to voting booth, takes a deep breath before speaking) Well, my brother. I hope you don't take this personally. I think you and I both know that this game has absolutely nothing to do with friendship. I had to make a hard call to help my game. And unfortunately it meant taking you out. I hope when all this is said and done that we'll still be cool. (gives peace sign)

Jerri (votes Colby): Is this a revenge vote? Hell yeah. And if things go according to plan, our past score will be even and we can move beyond and above. Beyond revenge, this is also my vote tonight because you have voiced your opinion many times to many people throughout the course of this game that you don't even care if you get voted off. I myself do. I myself want to be here more than any other place. And I don't think you feel the same. And so for those reasons, I am voting for you.

------------------------------
COLBY: THE DAY AFTER
------------------------------

Colby (day-after): Coming back for an All-Star series certainly doesn't bode well for you, nor does it help you if you've won the game or even if you done well in the past. It certainly shows you're capable. It's just like being a third-string quarterback and all of a sudden, your starter goes down and the coach brings in another first-string quarterback from another team. It doesn't make you feel good because he's got a lot of starts under his belt, he's proven that. He's more of a threat to you than the 4th-string guy behind you.

Markopolo's note: OK, Colby, let me try to figure this out. You are a 1st-stringer, and so is Richard, but Lex is a third-stringer? NO. You are a second-stringer, and Ethan was a first-stringer. And you got kicked off first. What is this, a Steve Spurrier team?

Colby: So with that analogy in mind, yeah, it looks pretty good coming into this game if you haven't done well in the past. You may have been more capable than anyone who's won it, but it wasn't noticed. It wasn't seen.

And maybe people, ya know, won't feel threatened by ya. But, it's just a different game.

CUT

Ya know I don't think a leopard can change his spots. So if you are a competitor, and you love to compete, then I would think you keep your team as strong as it can be so you can compete well in the challenges. And I don't mean physically strong. You just keep your team as tight as it can be. (OH YEAH, MOGO MOGO WAS REALLY GETTING ALONG WELL).

So that you can defeat the other team. And at some point it changes into an individual game. But until that happens, you maintain strength in your team. Obviously, that isn't adopted by most people in this game. Their vision is too short-term (UHH COLBY, DON'T YOU MEAN LONG-TERM?) and they're selfish. So you just end up scrambling sooner in the game. You're going to start scrambling at some point. But if you start cutting your kneecaps off earlier, then you're forced to scramble sooner. It's the biggest human social experiment anywhere done in this type of game.

It's easy to play it once. It's next to impossible to play it twice and stay motivated. The thrill of adventure and the unknown is completely lost. It's gone. So you're left to play a game and in order to be successful at this game, personally, I think you have to act in ways that you normally wouldn't.

ALEX, I'll TAKE "THINGS SURVIVOR 1'S GREG BUIS WOULD SAY FOR $1000"

You treat people, you deceive, you manipulate. It’s all part of the game. It makes you a great player. Those aren't fun characteristics to possess anytime, even if it is during the game.

(OH SHUT UP, A.C. SLATER. JUST BECAUSE YOU SEEM PERFECT IN EVERY WAY DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T ACT UGLY JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE CASTAWAYS. THIS IS ALL-STAR -- THE ASS. A COLLECTION OF ASS'ES! ACT LIKE ONE!)

So when you remove the adventure and the exhilaration of it being the first time, it's a much more difficult game to stay fired up about and maintain the level of excitement as a player. (THEN WHY NOT LET HUNTER COME AND PLAY IN YOUR PLACE? AT LEAST HE GAVE GOOD POST-BOOT SPEECHES!)

And it's very easy to disassociate yourself when your time is done. Because when your time is done, the second time around, it's very easy to walk away from it. It's almost easy to walk away because you didn't know what it would be like to come again and now you do.

CUT

My first experience was three years ago. I was at a completely different point of my life and it was a great time for me to take off and have an adventure like Survivor was.

WHAT COLBY REALLY MEANS: THREE YEARS AGO, I WAS A LOSER BARTENDER WITH NO FUTURE. ALL I HAD WAS MY MOM.

Now three years later, maybe not the best time to leave home. Maybe I had priorities that should have taken precedence over this. (YOU DON'T MEAN YOUR LOVER, ERRR MOTHER WAS SICK, DO YOU?) But man, the thought of coming back and doing it again, you remember all the positives. You forget about some of the negatives.

WHAT COLBY REALLY MEANS: NOW I AM PEDDLING RAZORS AND APPEARING ON TV SHOWS. I AM SO MUCH BETTER THAN ALL OF THESE PEOPLE. I MEAN, ME HANG OUT WITH PEOPLE LIKE SHII ANN? PLEASE!

It's kind of like women and having multiple child births. If women remember the pain from the first time, they might not ever have a kid again.

(PERHAPS THAT'S THE TYPE OF PAIN PROBST DESCRIBED AFTER YOUR FIRST DATE?)

But our minds work in amazing ways and they allow us to forget some of the negatives. And um, maybe that's what it was. These false or incorrect illusions of the game itself.

Maybe the game hasn't changed. Maybe we have. Who knows?

WOW....I'M SHEDDING A TEAR AT HOW BEAUTIFUL AND THOUGHT-PROKING THAT STATEMENT IS.

MAYBE THE GAME HASN'T CHANGED, MAYBE THE SUCKSTER SPOILERS HAVE CHANGED?

THEN AGAIN WE HAD UNCLE CAMERAMAN AND NOW WE HAVE SLEEK, SO NOTHING HAS CHANGED AND COLBY IS JUST AN IDIOT. YEP, THAT'S IT.

------------------------------
Most annoying "reality pretty boys"
------------------------------

Based on RPI, strength of schedule, how much they hate Duke and Markopolo's personal bias.

Markopolo's note: Ladies, I know you LOVE all of these guys, right? That's OK. The boys like Heidi for, oh, two reasons. Next week, we'll do most annoying women when Jerri gets booted, OK?

1. Osten (Survivor 7): Let's play Match Game. Osten was a BLANK willow. Gene, the only thing on my mind was Pooooooooooooossssssssssieee!

2. Gabe (Survivor 4): He had a teddy bear. He rapped worse than Vanilla Ice on crack. He basically quit because he didn't want to play the game. Hmmn, sounds like Osten except for the lack of a pelican phobia.

3. Silas (Survivor 3): First of three "pretty boys" to have their tribes throw a challenge to get rid of them. First to be duped by tribal switch. Could be higher if had tried to steal Tom's cherries.

4. Jed (Survivor 5): SNORE! The biggest dud since Gabe proves that Jeff Probst and EPMB were looking at the body and not the persona when casting for supposed hunks. Jed tried to pass off this good ol' religious boy image, only to be put on Smoking Gun.com for drunk driving moments after being miscast. Also was voted off after tribe threw a challenge (remember Ken sitting out?).

5. Burton (Survivor 7): Drake threw a challenge to boot him, but that wasn't enough for this pretty boy. He got voted back in as an outcast and tortured us for weeks with his annoying personality (but not as bad as Tijuana's voice).

6. Dave (Survivor 6): Rocket scientist couldn't figure out a puzzle, thought that Roger and Butch were good Survivor players, then wears a speedo to try and get the girls not to vote him off. Hmmm, no wonder Heidi had a higher IQ than him. America, this is why those stupid, 80-billion dollar space probes go off never to return.

7. Joel (Survivor 1): Moooooooo!

8. Kel (Survivor 2): The Jerky Boy got beat up by a bunch of Canadians at a bar, and they weren't even Vancouver Canucks! Jerri didn't get a Christmas card from you, but she did get $$$$ for Playboy and acting. Too bad, loser!

9. Shawn (Survivor 7): Useless. Burton could have made fun of Rupert's dress on his own.

10. Ken (Survivor 5): Thailand stunk more than the Chuay Gahn cave under a hot sun. And this silent cop from N.Y. was so boring, we were rooting for Robb to kick his butt. He had one good scene the whole show, and that was when Probst introduced him and everyone clapped. He also kept Brian's porno past a secret, which would have made Thailand a little more interesting had it been revealed. Oh, and he voted for Clay, what an idiot! And what about that IC he lost so bad digging up the holes? Wait a sec, maybe Ken should be higher?

Honorable mention:

Ace (Real World Paris, RR/RW Inferno): His "nothin bothers me, I am a southern boy" BS lasted about two episodes. What was left? A big, dumb whiner who had Osten-like quitting tendencies. His hatred toward French people was his only good quality. Je suis desole. J'aime les francais!

Anyone on Big Brother: (Self-explanatory)

Brad (Real World San Diego): Oh geez, how many times can I get drunk and go to jail in one episode?

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
2 min : 09 sec
------------------------------

Clip description: Be there when the women of Chapera see themselves in the mirror for the first time in 19 days.

Markopolo's note: This is a funny clip.

(AT YACHT, TRIBE CHEERS WITH IMMUNITY IDOL)

Jenna L (confessional): Amber was in the bathroom a long time. And then Alicia was gone for a long time.

AMBER AND ALICIA! WOWSERS! TOO BAD HOWARD STERN IS GOING OFF THE AIR!

So we come down and they are just standing in front of the mirror. I mean Amber lost a lot of weight.

(SHOTS OF WOMEN ADMIRING THEMSELVES -- AMBER SAYS TO HERSELF -- NO MORE RICE CAKE DIETS FOR ME!)

I know she's always looked thin, but she's emaciated now.

Amber (to Alicia and Jenna): I can't get over how my stomach, there's nothing there. My god! Ugh!

(JENNA LOOKS AT HER PUDGY STOMACH AND THINKS, "WHAT A B**CH!")

Amber (confessional): Of course I expected to look a little different, but I had no clue how different. I lost so much more weight than I ever expected (EVEN MORE THAN MY BULLEMIC STAGE). I looked like a 12-year old girl (UH OH, ROB, PAULA POUNDSTONE MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME COMPETITION!) and I couldn't stop staring at it. Just looking and touching my face. It was gross. It was so disturbing.

Jenna L (to Amber): You look like a 12-year old boy. (ON SECOND THOUGHT, ADD MICHAEL JACKSON TO ROBFATHER'S COMPETITION).

Amber: My cheeks are so sucked in. (HMMN ... WHY WOULD AMBER HAVE BEEN SUCKING SO MUCH?)

(JENNA TURNS ON FAUCET)

Alicia (to Jenna): It's fresh water. (AS OPPOSED TO PANAMANIAN FRESH WATER).

(RANDOM GIRL CHATTER)

Jenna (to Amber and Alicia): Guys, never let me look like this again.

(SHOT OF TOM SNICKERING)

Amber: I look like an alien.

Jenna: With boobs. (JUST LIKE HEIDI!)

Alicia (confessional): It was really weird looking at myself after 19 days. And yeah, I don't want to do that again while I'm out here. I'll just stay away from any kind of reflective surfaces from now on.

Colby's Strategy
4 min : 23 sec
------------------------------

Clip description: What did Colby think of Kathy spending time with Chapera, and how is he coping with being away from home for the last 19 days?

Markopolo's note: More hilarious commentary from the Colbster. Is this guy actually serious? Wow! Read this crap!

Colby (post-challenge confessional): You know the interesting thing about that, allowing a tribe to choose a member of the opposing tribe to spend the day and take in the excess and the fruits of its labor, I like it. I think it's a great idea. (SUDDENLY, PROBST SLIPS A $1 MILLION DOLLAR BILL UNDER THE CAMERA....COLBY, BEING THE WAL-MART-LIKE IDIOT CUSTOMER HE IS, THINKS THAT THE BILL IS REAL AND STUFFS IT IN HIS SHORTS)

We're going to have to eliminate a member, which means we're going to be one member down from Chapera (GREAT MATH!) The fact that Kathy is over there I think helps our situation. And it is a situation that needs help.

CUT

By having someone on the boat with Chapera, while they're eating drinking and having fun (OR IF YOU'RE BIG TOM, YOU WOULD BE EATING, BURPING, FARTING, DANCING, AND NOT CATCHING FISH WITH A $1,000 ROD), she's our eyes and ears over there. You can't ask for anything more than that. If she's loyal. That's what you never know. Will she be swayed, stick with those guys and cut our throats? She could. But at this point I trust Kathy more than I do anyone else in this game. And I'd like to think that she's over there absorbing like a sponge. And she'll come back to us with at least a little bit of knowledge of the cracks in the shell of Chapera.

IS IT JUST ME, OR IS COLBY REALLY TRYING HARD TO USE METAPHORS AND ACT ALL INTELLIGENT!? PLEASE! HE'S NO HEIDI STROBEL!

And that is very valuable. That, is worth its weight in gold. That's what makes this reward not as painful to take for us. Yeah we lost, and yeah, we've got to go to tribal council, but (holds up one finger) we already knew who we want to get rid of. (Holds up two fingers) And now we have somebody on the inside over there.

(COLBY, IF YOU WERE UP ONE MEMBER, YOU WOULD BE IN A LOT BETTER POSITION, DUMBASS!)

CUT

I think Chapera choosing Kathy was, I think, what they thought was the best move for them. I know it was the best move for us.

She is the one person that could really pull this off for us. To go in there and be on that boat and have them half-convinced that they got her. And then come back to us and let us know exactly what's going on. (ISN'T THAT A LOT OF PRESSURE TO PUT ON KATHY?)

CUT

We did what we could in this challenge. And that's what we dealt with. And that's what I told Ethan. Ethan is stressed out about the three of us our physical threats and they're going to pick us off one-by-one. (ETHAN IS SMART. COLBY IS DUMB.) My mental state throughout this game has been, I play as hard as I can, but at the end of the day, if my time's up, I can't control that. That's not the way I played the first time.

(COLBY, A BIT OF ADVICE. YOU MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE FINAL 2 THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE....

1) KIMMI AND HER BIG, FAT, VEGETARIAN MOUTH TOLD THE OGAKORS THAT JEFF VARNER HAD A VOTE AGAINST HIM. THAT LOST KUCHA THE ADVANTAGE.

2) YOU WON EVERY IMMUNITY, EXCEPT FOR KEITH AND NICK. YOU WERE ALMOST VOTED OUT THE KEITH EPISODE, AND IN THE NICK EPISODE, EVERYONE ON THE PLANET WANTED TO DITCH JERRI.

I felt like I always had control and I don't think you do. I think a lot of this game comes down to luck (OR COMPLETE STUPIDITY IN GIVING AWAY $900,000). When you bust your ass, you never give up. And I'm not saying that I would ever give up, but a lot of it comes down to catching a break here and there. Ethan got a huge break when we picked him to come over with us. His life was expiring rather quickly in Saboga. That's a break of the game.

CUT

I'm actually in a better place now the past few days as far as missing home and my family (AND MY LOVER, I MEAN MOTHER).

I haven't required the alone time I normally do to separate from the game, focus, align, kind of gain clarity. And step back into the game. I'm OK (right now). I haven't had to do that. I'm in a good position. I think that this is the stage of the game, prior to going into the merge, when it's becoming an individual game where you really do lose some control over. And I'm OK with it.

Because early in the game, everyone is jockeying for position and you are establishing a tribe. No matter how subtle, you become either a leader or a follower or a shapeshifter. (HOW ABOUT A SISKO, FOUNDER OR SHAPESHIFTER?)

Someone who has a role in that tribe. Once those roles are established, your tribe starts to perform like a machine. If the machine is well-oiled, you win challenges and you don't go to tribal council. (OH JOY, MORE BS METAPHORS)

We know that around one of these corners, the game will shift, and it will become individual. Then you have control again, because you're fighting for your own life. But right now, I don't know if you have a lot of control over it. In my mind, you need to be settled and be OK with that. Until the game gets to a point where you can once again manipulate it and control it and adapt to it. (AKA: WIN ALL IMMUNITIES WITH MY BIG MOOSCLES).

Lex's Disappointment
4 min : 14 sec
------------------------------

Clip description: After losing the Reward/Immunity Challenge, Lex returned to camp with his spirits down. Find out his strategy minutes before the dreaded Tribal Council.

Lex (confessional): Huge, huge challenge today. Huge stakes. (GUESS HE'S NOT TALKING ABOUT SUE TRYING TO GO AROUND RICHARD, HUH?)

Huge reward for the winning tribe (YEP, DEFINITELY NOT RICHARD) and wow, unfortunately for us we got beat out by just a hair. It was ours. It was ours to lose. The whole time.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't an enormous disappointment

CUT

I was thrilled that they decided to pick Kathy to go along on the yacht ride and the barbeque. I love Kathy. She's a great person. I think any person on our tribe would be as deserving as the next. But somebody had to go. I was frankly happy that it wasn't me. Because I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of tribe envy when you get something that they don't get.

(I BET THE TRIBE DIDN'T FEEL ENVIOUS WHEN YOU GOT SCREWED IN FALLEN COMRADES).

Fortunately for Kathy, she belongs to a tribe that doesn't have a real big problem with that. I mean, in Africa, I won a lion's share of virtually every reward challenge out there. I was no stranger to coming back from just this kind of reward to cold shoulders and negative energy.

So, we're happy Kathy got it. I'm sure she's having a great time. Of course all of us are hoping in the back of our minds that she gets to bring a little something for us. We're not expecting it thought. I think she's having a great time. Hopefully, she can also do a little bit of reconnaissance out there to find a thing or two about the people on Chapera. For what it's worth, I hope she has a great time.

CUT

Um, I'm not worried about Kathy spilling the beans about anything we've got going on here. She's an extremely sharp player. She's doesn't have the same type of problems that maybe Big Tom or Boston Rob have -- their tongues get looser according to the amount of drinks they consume. I think she can probably drink half of them under the table. She's shrewd. She's smart. (AND SHE'S SPILLING ALL OF HER "GUT" OVER TWO MICHELOB ULTRAS AND A ZIMA)

She knows that there is a lot riding on our own game. It's also a great asset because she might be sowing a few seeds with some of the people over there, which perhaps, after this merge, we can exploit and use for our own purposes. I have no concerns about her having loose lips over there.

CUT

As soon as we lost the challenge my mind turned into just overdrive. Before we'd even got to camp, I already had my strategy in mind. I knew exactly what we needed to do. It's not exactly going to be a business as usual tribal council tonight. I think there are definitely going to be some surprises. Who takes the walk tonight and who exits the game, hopefully if all goes well (abruptly ends).

CUT

I had two choices today. One was the safe one. Just go with what was basically agreed upon ahead of time with the people back here at Mogo Mogo. Go with a decision that would guarantee that I would still be here tomorrow.

Or the option to take a huge risk and really shake up the game.

CUT

I find myself now at the doorway of the opportunity to that. To do something that probably no one is expecting me to do. And I made the decision after the challenge that I was going to do that. I was going to go for the big risk with the big return instead of the safe bet. I may not be here tomorrow to talk about it. Hopefully I will. And if I am, I think this is going to give me some really good returns and I think this is going to really help my game out for the long haul in a huge way.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU JUST BOUGHT SHARES OF ENRON.

------------------------------
Colby's Final Words
3 min : 15 sec
------------------------------

Markopolo's note: Why do we hate Colby so much, girls? For statements like this:

Colby on his first experience in Survivor when he GAVE AWAY a million dollars: "I didn't win, but I felt like I did."

<RANT> OH SHUT UP. YOU'RE SO PATHETIC. I WOULD HAVE VOTED TINA BACK TO TENNESSEE FASTER THAN A MARIANO-THROWN GOLF CLUB SO I COULD WATCH THE JURY RIP INTO KEITH. THE CHEF WOULD HAVE BEEN COOKED LIKE DOGS IN NORTH KOREA, AND I WOULD HAVE A MILLION DOLLARS, PLUS I WOULD BE DOING MOVIES, NOT RAZOR COMMERICALS! </RANT>

Colby (final words): I don't know that you will ever allow yourself the time to relax enough to truly appreciate and enjoy the experience. I had a hard time doing that the first time, but because it is so cutthroat this time, um, I don't think everyone's going to do that. And that makes it different. I also truly believe the adventure of the experience is lost for most, because it's not new anymore. So, maybe I'm wrong, but for me, it's much easier to let go and say goodbye this time than it would have been the first time. But I knew coming into this I could not have duplicated my experience. You couldn't have had more fun and had a more positive experience than I had the first time playing this game. I knew that coming in, so I wasn't looking to outdo it.

CUT

The inevitable bonus of playing this game again is simply once again proving to yourself that you can do it, that you can withstand the elements, put up with the environment and the players and the diverse personalities and move your way through this game. No matter how far ya make it, when you get home from playing it the first time, you wonder if you'll ever go through that type of experience again, whether you'll ever have to truly trust your senses and push yourself to those limits again. Having an opportunity to come back and play it again? Check, well, mark that one off the list: I've still got it; I've still got that competitive edge.

I want to show up and compete. I want to go play in the challenges and try to win. And that's what feels good, is knowing I'm three years older but I've still got that in me. I've still got that drive to compete and win. But I'm more comfortable in my life now, so it's okay that I didn't win. I don't know if I could have said that the first time, because honestly, I didn't win, but I felt like I did.

CUT

I remember filling out the first application three and a half years ago. The primary reason, before there was any hope of me getting on that show, was to see if I could push myself and see if I can test it. I'd felt like since college I'd lost my competitive edge. That was my one way to get it back, and it happened.

And that was three years ago, and I wanted to know if it was still there. I'm very driven to succeed, and I find victories in my life daily, if not weekly. But this was something I wanted to do to see if I could still hold up under pressure, and it feels good. And I don't mean just physically hold up. The body's a little older, but I felt like it would hold up fine. Emotionally and mentally, I wanted to see if I could still put myself through the wringer and be okay with it. I feel a lot better this time, maybe even better than I did the first.

CUT

Tonight was probably as polar opposite as you could be from my first experience in Survivor.Every tribal council, I was never voted out, was never snuffed out.

Um, If I signed on and came back, and I was completely goal-oriented, meaning the only focus I had was to win this thing, or if I truly believed I could, tonight would have hurt a lot worse. But I've never said I could win this thing again, ever. I knew it would be tougher. I knew it would be a much harder game to be successful at, not just winning, but to make it as far as I did, or as far as a lot of people did the first time. And so in the back of my mind, I always knew this was a possibility, even today, coming in. It wasn't a lie when I said everyone has to feel a level of vulnerability coming into tribal council, because it's a smarter game, and that's what makes it a great game.

Dessert, Anyone?

Clip description: Watch an extended version of Chapera enjoying their tasty reward near an exotic waterfall.

Markopolo's note: Nothing really new. Someone mentions peanut butter and I longed for Jenna M.

Alicia Knows Best
1 min : 13 sec
------------------------------

Clip description: Join Alicia aboard the luxury yacht as she describes this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Markopolo's note: Quote of the season from Alicia: "We are smooth sailing, and not just on this boat, for the entire game."

Alicia (on yacht): This is paradise. I will never, never forget this day. Day 19 of Survivor All-Stars. This is Chapera's day. We worked really hard to get here. I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life.

CUT

We are eating, we are on yacht, we are fishing, we are going to have dessert, beer, open bar! This is Survivor? I don't know? It's insane

(WE THINK IT'S INSANE, TOO. HOW DOES THIS REWARD EQUAL BLANKETS AND 1/3 OF A KEY TO OPEN A BOX OF SPOILED RICE? IT'S LIKE GOING TO SEE A JIM CARREY MOVIE AND GETTING ACE VENTURA INSTEAD OF CABLE GUY)

I would never have dreamed that it would be this good. We're sitting on the boat and just shaking our heads. We have these moments, wow, we're here. And we won. And you know how big this was for us? Forget all the rewards. Forget everything else. When it comes down to the game, someone is getting voted out of Mogo Mogo, that was what we came to the challenge for. This, is just over the top. We are so happy.

We are smooth sailing, and not just on this boat, for the entire game
