I just need to say koodos to Nate and Jen for taking the oars out of those  holes.  Teams in AR10 nobody did that and thats why i think they all has so much trouble rowing.  Personlly i think its easier without those wholes.  Finally a team figured it out

THANK YOU TO EILAN!!! for all the hours you spent working on this leg with us! :thankyou:

Your info and pictures made it SO much more fun to see --great to see it all come to life!

And everything about team order--flight delays--locations--was totally right!

Major kudos to you!  :cheer: :yourock: :cheer:

Why would someone who doesn't know how to row a rowboat choose that?  It is easier to leave the oars in the holes - if you have any idea how to row.

I agree. If you watched carefully, one of the ways that Azaria almost caught up was by leaving his oars where they belong(in the holes) and using them as extra leverage for his strokes. Those who did not were depriving themselves of that leverage. You dissipate a lot of force into the water but not into forward motion when you paddle like a canoe.

Checking my DVD of the race last night, Azaria specifically told the ticket agent that he wanted Economy Class on the LOT Polish Airlines flight. Thus, it was the ticket agent's fault for giving them Business Class tickets, but at the same time, it was Azaria's & Hendekea's fault for not checking them before they left the office.

Once at the bottom, choose a rope ladder and finish assembling it
That explains the TK/Rachel photos.

If you have any experience at all in rowing, you keep the oars in the hooks.  That helps keep your pressure even and able to apply maximum force (f you are placed correctly in the boat).

rowing is getting like driving stick on this show - a given

People who are lucky enough to be selected should really go and learn to do both prior to the race

Reality TV World:  Where were everyone's backpacks when they were getting off those planes?  It looked like everyone left their backpacks back at baggage pickup or something for this leg.

Azaria:  They confiscated our backpacks -- production did -- when we got off of the airplane... I assume that they knew that we'd be doing zip lines and potentially jumping into water.  So that's why they took them...

Reality TV World:  Why did you two call Sequesterville after your elimination?

Hendekea:  We did not end up going to [Sequesterville], so we called in to give them the news.

Reality TV World:  Is there a reason why you didn't go there?

Hendekea:  Because of our location at that point in the race, we ended up traveling with the rest of the teams to go to the finals.  Because we were closer to the final Pit Stop, we flew onward rather than going back to Portugal [which is where Sequesterville is located].
