YES! But it is sadly a "midseason replacement" so we don't know when it will air. Could be fall--could be next Feb. Filming should begin anytime.

Have fun!

of course we need spoilers now, but why kill yourself for something thats not there right now. i took this route in tar9,10,11 and it works. things come into your hands when you least except it

So they don't file the permits until just before?

How about if we do some educated guesses re the city?

I was thinking New Orleans might be good--sentimental favorite and all....

the start city depends on what airlines are where. you need an american or united hub atleast or international airlines for a start city. New Orleans doesnt have those. right now if i had to bet on a start city, id go dallas, houston, or even chicago again just for airlines availibility. maybe they start in boston

Major cities that have never been on the opening or closing end of an Amazing Race are:

1. Boston
2. Atlanta
3. Cincinnati
4. Detroit
5. Houston
6. St. Louis
7. Kansas City
8. Minneapolis
9. San Diego

I like Boston or Atlanta for the start of AR12 and San Diego for the finish.

I decided to do this more scientifically. All of the metro areas in my prior post are valid as being in the top 20 as ranked by the 2000 U.S. Census. However, I did miss a few that are significant:

Washington DC/Baltimore
Philadelphia
Cleveland
Tampa

If you want to go into the top 30, then you can add:

Pittsburgh
Portland
Sacramento
Milwaukee
Orlando
Indianapolis
San Antonio

Sorry, Peach, New Orleans is #35. Also, having used the New Orleans International Airport numerous times I can tell you that it has flights to Latin America but almost none nonstop to Europe or the Far East. Keep hanging out at the Atlanta airport since it's prime in my view.

Who can watch Logan International Airport in Boston?

Is it possible that they already started filming and simply no one found any permits?

Highly doubted, I'd say next week we should hear something.

I too am happy with the no celebs news.  ;D

I just hope that today's news out of England won't hinder air travel further than it already is.

I guess it all depends on the route that they plan on taking, if Europe was on on the itinerary for next week I could see that being problematic and backup plans being activated.
Anywhere in the UK surely must be off limits, which is a pity (Wales and N. Ireland yet to be visited)

Really? I never heard of this. Maybe that's why the dubai leg sucked, though.
