What time do you think your friend will get home? And will he email you the picture?
I'm trying to figure out when it is safe to leave for a minute!

Phil is going to be on star daily right now (i'm pretty sure) so I'll watch and tell you if anything is interesting...(i'm pretty sure it was pre-taped since there was footage of the interview on Friday)

EAST BAY, New Zealand

I have researched this question and have only found a reference to Arapawa Island. This is off Marlborough Sound and the Queen Charlotte Strait on the ferry approach into Picton, the ferry terminal on the South Island. East Bay is apparently on teh east side of Arapawa Island.

However, I am suspicious of this and believe that there may be another East Bay on the North Island. I have sent a request to my family new Zealand expert, my sister, a resident of Auckland. We should have an answer in 24 hours.

Apskip--check the map here

I think eastern bay is in Northland in the North Island. That also fits with the TV station I was talking to...

And here is the golf club:

PEACH, I don't find either map helpful inlocating East Bay. My sister thinks that East bay might be starting north of Auckland about 25 miles and continuing to "Castor Bay, Mairangi Bay, Torbay and Long Bay." My old World Atlas, which I just looked at, settles the question and indicates that she is right. There is a town marked "East Coast Bays" north of Auckland above Takapuna. I have a .kmz file of its position but I can't find My Places in my PC to access it from.

On the burning question of the day, where did the possible racers go from JFK on American Airlines between 1430 and 1500 Sunday afternoon, I have the 4 possible answers out of 56 possible destinations from JFK:

1430 AA4618 to Boston
1435 AA117   to Los Angeles
1450 AA4133 to Chicago
1450 AA4765 to Washington DC

There were NO international flights whatsoever between 1400 and 1500 scheduled out of JFK on American Airlines. It does not look like AR12 to me, but you can draw your own conclusions.

I agree that this is very doubtful. But if it was, it probably was later as they were still at the gate at 2:45 when joemike saw them--so maybe even up to 4 to 5? I found one flight out to Miami which would allow for all sorts of Caribbean or South American connections.

Thanks for looking for us apskip!
