RTVW has a write up.

As is typical for midseason series, CBS has not announced when The Amazing Race 12 will premiere, however The Amazing Race's twelfth season is likey to debut once Kid Nation or one of the network's three other new one-hour fall series -- Viva Laughlin, mystery drama that incorporates Broadway musical-like singing performances; Cane, an "epic drama" about a Cuban-American family that runs an immensely successful run and sugar business in South Florida; and Moonlight, a romantic thriller about a vampire who works as a private investigator -- end their runs, go on hiatus, or get pulled due to poor ratings.

Did y'all see this site?.  It has video previews of most of the new CBS series.

And *sniff I'm all choked up* I wouldn't expect Kid Nation to get canned--that one has heart.

But Moonlight and Big Bang? meh.

Funny no video for the musical Viva whatever--could that mean it is REALLY bad??

Peach! Are they honestly kidding LOL, how can this "kids nation" show be on during PRIME TIME?!

I like that little Asian kid with the one tooth though!

Then there is that one kid Michael who sounds like he's reading from a script..
and the girl "i'm a beauty queen, I don't do dishes!" ...the new dustin and kandice?  :lol3:

WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING?
this....over the amazing race?! WTF!

(this is the first time I'm seeing the video lol!)

...As the winners of this leg of the race you have won....a library...OR A VIDEO ARCADE! or maybe a gold star?

The time choice is definitely odd--seems like it needed to be on a weekend early time slot so families could watch it together.

But who can resist snaggle-toothed homesick kiddies who try not to cry??

Let's ask Carissa and Kelley what they think of it--I'll bet they would have rocked at this! :yess:

Googling "jiangxi" with "lake" and "sacred mountain" brings up only one decent result so far: Lake Poyang near Lushan (Mount Lu). Jiangxi and zhejiang (Neobie's place) are neighboring provinces.

The TV editor of the Newark Star-Ledger interprets the information he received from CBS as "Amazing Race will be returning mid-season on Saturday night."

meh - I wouldn't put to much credit into that rumour, it's to hard to predict something like that when you take into account new show cancelations.

ok this scares me- http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/the_amazing_race_12/2007_May_16_renewed

CBS has officially renewed The Amazing Race, but only for one more season, which will not air until midseason.
That’s a change from the show’s fairly regular pattern of airing two seasons a year, which has happened consistently since the show’s beginning, with the exception of the year-long gap between seasons four and five, which was followed by three seasons airing over one year.

Does that mean 1 season and its done or its only been picked up for 1 more season as or right now?

I wouldn't trust that article very much, because they always renew TAR one season at a time, and while it WAS picked up for midseason, I'm guessing it will air as soon as one of the new shows gets canceled... I think TAR6 was picked up for midseason as well and ended up airing in November
