I was watching The Early Show this morning and they had Jerry Bruckhimer on talking about the new Pirates movie etc...  Harry asked him if he had any new TV shows coming out and he said No they were just making the ones they already had better.  No mention of TAR just CSI.

This sucks. I want two TARS! and I want them in the fall and spring!  :meow: stupid CBS!  hopefully one of the new shows gets cancelled, which will most likely happen since most shows appear to suck.

Here--- This Sounds Better Somehow

In addition to the new series for Fall, the network announced the pick up of three programs for midseason, including the four-time Emmy Award-winning THE AMAZING RACE, the comedy THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, starring Emmy Award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the provocative new drama SWINGTOWN

"We approached our development this year with a specific goal in mind - to be daring and different," said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. "The Fall and mid-season series we have selected offer creativity and variety with great potential to excite and surprise television audiences everywhere."

Okay--I guess maybe I don't know what midseason is?

Is it halfway between Sept and May? Which is late Jan?

Or is it mid FALL season?

Or does "on the bench" just mean standing by to run in when there is an "injury"?

when a show is scheduled for midseason its usually january.febuary time, but when the term bench is used it usually means for the first "injured" show. now we have a few choices here. the kids reality show on wed nighs, and the vampire show on friday nights. if the kids reality show gets cancelled would they put tar back on wed at 8??? move it back to sunday att 8 or do some schedule shifting?

Ironic that the two shows that netted Emmy wins for CBS are now being held for midseason.

Well, I'll take what I can get.  Delayed is better nothing at all...and I hope this means the most kickass race EVER.

And here's hoping it's NOT Fridays...hardly anyone watches on that night anymore.

I'm guessing they'd shift the schedule. I don't see them putting TAR on Wednesday at 8, OR on Friday nights !

A blog entry about the upfronts.
Quote
The Amazing Race is officially off the fall schedule, as it will be held over until the new year and only air a single season this year. This is unsurprising, but troubling; I worry that if ratings are low for this one season they’ll pull the plug. I think that the show has plenty of gas left, but a lot of miles on the car. They can keep driving, they just need to slow down a little and everything will be okay. It’s like Speed. (Note: Everything can be like Speed. True Story). It will be indirectly replaced by a new reality show, Kid Nation, a new Lord of the Flies-esque story of kids taking over a ghost town revealed today (Variety). It will be airing on Wednesdays at 8pm
I'm not sure what "indirectly replaced" means.
