Heres Phil's NOW site
http://www.noopportunitywasted.ca/

PART 1  -  GENERAL INFORMATION AND THE APPLICATION PROCESS

4. Applicants need to be current passport holders or have applied for one that will be valid by May 2007, and be ready to travel at a moment’s notice as determined by the Producer at its sole discretion, with limited resources and a small budget provided by the Producer.

5. Applicants will need to be available for up to seven consecutive days such period to be at the Producer’s discretion from June 1, 2007 to September 30, 2007.

6. The Producer will select the participants to be featured as part of NOW at their sole and absolute discretion.

That really sounds like Phil is going to be filming NOW around the world between June 1 and September 30, 2007.

Does that mean that TAR 12 is "on hold" until perhaps this fall which means no air dates until February again?

Or will NOW have a different host?

Or is TAR "on hiatus" as they say in television land, which means bye-bye?

Well, either way we'll know next week because don't they give premier dates at up fronts?

From somebody who met Phil last night in Montreal:

Quote
I met Phil last night in Montreal for his book tour (pictures of that later along with all Tarcon events) and he said "unofficially" it's a go, though no start date for filming as of yet. However he is NOT hosting the Canadian version of NOW.

I doubt he would say the start date even if it HAS been set so i wouldn't take the no start date for filming as a fact.

OK, listen to Zachs take on the finale, at the end the interviewer says "On to race twelve, rumour has it that again it's not new faces, but familiar ones, if that's true are producers messing with the formula a little to much"

and then Zach mentions something celebrities or something to run the race  (:;) What the hell!

Janelle & Will are probably equal to Romber as far as fan base popularity.

How about this guy?

GMAN, the information available right now is still consistent with a July or August start for AR12. That would mean airing AR12 in the end of September through early December just like AR10.

What does an Amazing Race fan do for the next 4 months? It has been suggested by one individual that watching Mark Burnett's Pirate Master is the thing to do, but I think not. I just discovered by chance a small gem that I can recommend for all RFF members to try out. It is Fox Reality's

CHASING TIME, which is a contest of one team from a foreign country completing a series of 8 tasks (mostly puzzles in the spirit of Amazing Race 1) in 12 hours. If they fail, they get sent home that evening. If they succeed, they get a luxury hotel suite for the evening. The prize isn't big enough to be the reason people do this, it's all about the spirit of competition. I just watched 2 Irish twenty-somethings take on Manhattan. Manhattan won, but it was fun watching them go for it.

I am probably the only person in the world that does not get FOX reality channel  :'( so Big Brother is how I'll waste away my summer .. :yess:. If anyone cares we have a wonderful team of dedicated live feed updater's, probably better than any other site, so be sure to remember to check us out right here   :jam:

And yeah, I will check out Pirates but don't know if it will hold my interest yet.

I get Fox Reality TV but will be spending my summer catching up on TAR of the past. I didn't start watching religiously until season 7 (thanks to Romber) so I have a lot to catch up on. So, thanks to GSN, I tape TAR that they replay every night from 2a-3am. Right now I'm on Season 3. Man, Ian really was terrible, he was a lot better in All Stars. And, I must say, I really like John Vito and Jill.  ;D

I saw it from 230pm to 3pm this afternoon. It is probably also on other times, so check the FOX REALITY timetable.

From a poster at sucks:
Phil said moments ago on canadian tv (CBC's The Hour) that they are about to film the twelve season.

funny thing is my mom just came in my room and told me she saw something about Phil on TV a while ago, so maybe it was the same thing!

edit:

here is the video:
http://www.cbc.ca/thehour/video.php?id=1575

he says it around 8 minutes and 20 seconds into the video
