Phil: Eric/Danielle, you're team #2.
D: Thank God.
Phil: You're in the final three, racing for one million dollars. Eric, second time. Danielle, your first.
E: She's doing awesome despite all the bickering we do.

Oswald: You're fine.
Mirna: Should I turn around?

Phil: Charla/Mirna, you are team #3. Congratulations. You are one of the final three teams racing for one million dollars.

Last to the Amazing Bathmat ...
Oswald: Mister Phil. How are you?
Woman: Welcome to Fort Soledad, Guam.
Phil: Oswald/Danny ...
Danny: Yes, Phil?
Phil: Sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from the Race.
Danny: Awesome.
Oswald: I'll tell you who we want to win. We'd love for Charla/Mirna to win.
Danny: They're a class act. No regrets, darling.
Oswald: We had a great time. There will be many chapters about Danny and Oswald. The Amazing Race is just one ... no, two chapters.
Conf, Danny: He'll wheel me into the gay nursing home that I'm going to open.
Conf, Oswald: Hopefully he won't speak so much!

The girl I have been writing was a friend of the driver.  Her husband is in the military, he has been stationed in Guam for three years.

Dustin/Kandice get off the ferry and take off for the airport in a taxi. The next ferry with C/M and E/D left at 4:25, apparently.

mswood, I think what really happened was that C/M and E/D left on the 0400 ferry and when Dustin/Kandice made their remark it was 0425, when they estimated those 2 teams would be halfway across to Hong Kong.

CHATEAU, please remind me of what your estimates of the pitstop arrival times were. I need to know for confirmation of the flight scenarios (like we don't know already) for Dec. 16. If any team arrived before 1630, then there must be a pre-airport task that prevents them from catching CO 2 nonstop to Honolulu. Since we know that nobody did, either nobody arrived before 1630 or there will be such a task to open the FINALE.

The Special Thanks, fwiw. Shooting Star is Guam-based, Liquid Planet is Hawaiian, and Inhouse Creative is SF-based. Outrigger Resorts has places in Guam and the Hawaiian islands (but not Lanai).

I'll get the times later on but I think that all teams will have no trouble catching a 6 am flight.

CHATEAU, one thing that is absolutely certain is that they do not catch that 0600 flight. We have eyewitness reports of them going on NW 81 or NW73 to Tokyo-Narita, followed by NW10 from Narita to Honolulu. They do NOT fly nonstop to Honolulu, so the question is why not? Being the Christmas sseason, one can guess that most flights were going out and coming in full, so CO2 may have beenfull and overbooked. Early morning tasks on Guam are the next most likely explanation, but a possibility is pitstop arrival after 1630 so that they can't get to Guam International Airport in time to make CO2.

Scrub vs FLY? How could you not choose fly???

Duh, maybe if you think the less glamorous option is going to be quicker and are more interested in $1,000,000 than which task you do. This is where the guy who writes the RealityNewsOnline column "Thinking Smart" should be cited.

CHATEAU, if a may quote you
Quote
I think that all teams will have no trouble catching a 6 am flight.
is what you said.

You could clear this up very quickly if there is a possiblity of issuing pitstop times. That would be extremely helpful at this point to maybe settle the issue. Only if a time is before 1630 can a team hope to make CO2 the next morning and they will have to be fast to do that.

The distance from the Umatac Bay area where Fort Soledad is to Guam International Airport is about 25 miles and should take over 30 minutes by car.
