Great match peach! The Lanai harbor is perfect for the pic of E/D on the dingy thingy.  I think the other two pictures (my earlier post) are at a different location though. The Lanai harbor doesn't appear to have an stacks/towers that are in the background shot of the BQ's. Also the shot of E/D running by a large tank doesn't appear to have other tanks immediately behind it like at Lanai harbor.

???  Just thinking out loud, but could the "large tank" be a "water tank" (as I have seen water tanks that look like that)???  If you buy that, then this quote from a tourist web site's Lanai petroglyphs driving directions may add to the confusion.

Quote
Another petroglyph reserve is located in the southern part of Lanai. From Lanai City, head toward Manele Bay on Manele Bay Road, then turn left on the first dirt road. The petroglyphs are just beyond the large water tank on the slopes of the hill.

Is it this tree?

Chateau--I don't think it is that tree--I have a vague memory of it being not so close to the conservatory--maybe this will help?

Yours is the one I remember Boingo! Maybe my first one is different?

Oh, well--have another!

It was definitely in the meadow....

What we do for Chateautimes!

  Yes, very good peach.......   BUT, I trump you with this 360 degree view of the meadow.   :lol3:

360 degree view of Strybing Arboretum main lawn.   I beleve that's Sutro Tower (atop Twin Peaks) in the background.

Note: requires Quicktime plug-in

Think about this:

We have all three teams interacting with each other at one time or another:

Eric and Danielle and Charla and Mirna coming up the pier from the boat together

Eric and Danielle leading Dustin and Kandice down the sandy path through the sand dunes

Dustin and Kandice passing Charla and Mirna on the rocky path toward the beach with the wreck in the BG

So it lookis like the three teams are going to be pretty much even throughout the episode

And probably all will be on the same plane to San Francisco

I don't think that they take a chopper from Maui to Lanai.  There are boats that sail between the two islands regularly and we do have a shot of Danielle, Charla and Mirna arriving somewhere on a boat of some sort.

  Chateau was close (orange circle), but I think it's the next one over. (white arrow)

note: Centuty-old cypress has an oval shaped canopy, much wider than the small building in the background, So arrow is actually pointing to large oval shaped treetop.

You two keep fighting it out, good job  :nana

The task in San Fran is most likely the detour (the facts about your partner).  Season 9, 8, 3 all ended with puzzles that were roadblocks in the final destination city (though in season 9 you could talk to your partner.

Dustin has a Detour clue ..mswood, maybe you meant Roadblock?

Nice Boingo!

Want to play water tank now? :rotf:

I'm thinking maybe this is near where they get their cars? Airport? Harbor? We need to find a wall in front of a tank!

Seems like if we are seeing them exiting the zodiac at the harbor--then they are likely to be arriving. Maui--Lanai trips arrive at this harbor.

Or they could be doing the dolphin watching or sea turtle excursions! :lol3:

Possibilities:

Honolulu to Maui by helicopter, Maui to Lanai by zodiac (nice and scenic and we could see spinner dolphins! and explains seeing the teams leaving the zodiacs)
Honolulu to Lanai by helicopter, with another zodiac excursion. (harder to make this one fit)
Honolulu to Lanai by helicopter, and a zodiac excursion back from Shipwreck beach? (there is a round the island trip--but the climbing over the rocks shots means they arrived by car...)

I just watched the preview and I don't think we'll be able to read it, it looks kind of blurred to me, but maybe if someone gets an ultra high res copy we would..

A bouy clue next to the Liberty ship. (the water doesn't seem so deep; in one of the caps it looks like a BQ is standing up outside the kayak)

:jumpy: Hi everyone I was looking at the picture of the airport in reply 85 and look into the left hand cornor and see the brown tank and how the trees look and then look at the picture in reply 91 and see the brown tank and the trees. Looks like they could be a match since the parking lot would be on that side of the runways and hangers.  ???
I WILL TRY

Nice Slowhatch! So maybe they are just going after a buoy clue? Near the shipwreck?

I found something today that said the waters around the wreck were not suitable for swimming as the waters are too rough!

Who's good at GE? I tried to look at that tank at the airport but as ususal GE hates me--all I got was a big cloud!

Thanks Uncle Bill!
I'd really like to see that wall and Boingo's R2D2 thingys behind the wall.
If they really fly into the airport by helicopter or whatever--then we need to figure out what they are doing at the harbor with the zodiac boats--all the way on the other side of the island from the wreck!
