Nice!  You TAR dectectives rock.  I've been looking at your spolier sections to see how accurate you all are, now that the show is over, and you all are amazing at this stuff.  Keep up the good work!

WARNING: TAR Detectiveness is highly addictive and very contagious. It may result in aberrant behavior and long periods of sleep deprivation. Contact with infected persons should be minimized to avoid an epidemic. Contamination may occur after minimal exposure. Significant use of internally applied alcohol may minimize symptoms.

Thousand Island Lake, Zhejiang? Is this our location?

Close enough for Huangshan to be our holy mountain, I'd say.

As Puddin mentioned, Survivor Skills gets the credit for Jiangxi.
Quote
The filming locales, and base camp should be around 40 km (24 miles) from the capital of Nanchang.
This fits in (so far) with Poyang. As far as GE goes, just search for Nanchang, China then look to the northeast. That big mess of water is the lake; some more info is available if you enable web content in GE.

I've been swimming around there all afternoon--I'm glad I was at least in the right lake!

But I want to find this place--there must be a reason we keep seeing it?

Enable web control--is there a button to push?

Look down in the lower-left under "layers" and click the ones you want to see. About the picture, I don't know; it could be a match for what we want or it could be just local flavor  ???.

Thanks!

I'd still like to find it though....But I don't think it is in that lake--which is also a pretty big tourist site--not so "remote" to tour groups. I'm thinking there must be another lake somewhere....

Lijiang is a beautiful place--a world heritage site (VR here). If you ever get the chance to rent China: Beyond the Clouds, give it a try: it's a documentary that looks more like reality tv.
