Vote For The Worst American Idol Choices Are Safe
« on: February 23, 2007, 09:01:25 PM »
Antonella Barba and Sundance Head did not earn rave reviews from the American Idol judges for their first performances as part of the top twenty-four.  After Sundance’s performance, Randy Jackson called him pitchy, Paula Abdul said he picked the wrong song, and Simon Cowell compared him to a dad at a wedding.  After Antonella’s performance, Randy Jackson said it wasn’t good and Simon Cowell said the song was too big for her.  Paula Abdul was somewhat kinder, but even she said it wasn’t great.

Even though Antonella Barba and Sundance Head were not the judges’ favorites, the two singers earned the endorsement of a website that might be just as influential.  VoteForTheWorst.com has thrown their support behind Antonella Barba and Sundance Head.  While being supported by a website that prides itself on encouraging their readers to vote for the worst contestants on American Idol might sound like a dubious honor, it is an honor none the less that could very well take these two to the top twelve.

With twenty-four semifinalists and many of them singing very poorly, the support of Vote For The Worst could actually be the deciding factor over who goes home and who stays among the less inspiring performers.  In fact if a contestant already knows that they are having a bad night, it might behoove them to go for broke and completely screw up their song in hopes of winning the Vote For The Worst endorsement.
