Yea Puddin - I have to admit I'm not convinced that there is an intersection anymore. The only thing that seems like there is is the third webclue on cbs.com, oh well..hopefully we'll see something in phil's preview!

Agreed. The "working together" and "treachery" stuff at CBS could just refer to ordinary, everyday backstabbing.

This shot was taken here between 7:39 and 8:18 pm (assumes November 24th)

Note that I have corrected this because I was using the wrong latitude.

Thank you so much for those NEW pictures--I thought I looked everywhere and those are new to me--nice to get a different perspective.

Thank you Chateau! now if we  can get a Romber shot we'll know the whole time spread--D/M said that they were only a few minutes behind Ch/Mirna to the mat...
(and weren't those shots of Phil will the sunset on his face (mat chats) gorgeous?  :luvu:

Do we even know what the two Detours are, not to mention the Roadblock?

One thing is build a directional sign, and (maybe) use your compass/map to orient the signs correctly. (IIRC, we see Romber, U/J, and CH/Mirna here)
Or maybe the use the compass/map is a whole separate Detour?
And is the local Magellan expert a descendent, a geographer extraordinaire ;), or what?

Roadblock (we've seen a lot of running around, but no sign of the actual task--right?)

Let's see: catch a penguin--and wrap him for shipping, and have him stamped at the southernmost post office in the world??

The only thing I believe looks intersection-y is the shot of E/D and the Cha's in the zodiac together (the BQ's/Romber looking at a map in the Plaza--I don't buy it...)
But I would love to not see an Intersection again--I hate that whole thing!  There is the "one team agrees reluctantly to work with another" thing though...
And it might be fun to see them stuck together on along trip Argentina back to Chile...

Clearly we need more info! ???

I'll make an attempt at the boat order. So far we've seen three distinct groups. The middle group is BQs and Guidos (spots 4 and 5). The last group (I'm assuming this because of the bootlist) is R/A, C/M and U/J. Unless all three went in the hard-shell boat, then C/M went first and the other two teams had to wait. The first two teams are E/D and D/O; the Southern Living photos provided the only good shadows (around noon, Chateau wrote). That leaves Teri/Ian as the wildcard; they're either the third team or the first (with a FF).

Is the boats close to the pit-stop?

I doubt they'd have something like that in an area that wouldn't give other teams a chance to catch up.

I am thinking of the magazine but what does it mean here? (sorry--I'm probably missing something obvious...)
I'm thinking it must be the zodiac boats but... ???

Peach, Southern Living was the title of Patty's blog where the zodiac photos are. (we might see her on the show; the producers made no attempt to hide other civilians)
Great album, Puddin!  :jumpy:  :yess: The fourth photo looks like a match for the pit stop cap.

Peach, that is no doubt the spot!

Here is a way that teams can get from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia by 10 am on the 26th.

And here is a stab at the timing.

There is a lot of spare time in Ushuaia.  I am sure they tried, but failed to get to Antarctica.  The weather looks like it sucked.  No sunshine.

There is a "refugio" there--maybe that's where our guys stay?

And heee....that's my hammock!

Chateau--Great flight find! But tight connection in Buenos Ares--I sense drama!

And you think there will be a 48 hour pitstop too?

Thank You!  :thankyou:

Now I can picture it much better--I actually didn't think it was so close!

So when they are in the zodiacs they are off to Isla Redonda--I was starting to wonder what else they might do...

Other than sightseeing seals, cormorants, and lighthouses there doesn't seem to be a lot.  Unless they have to do some kind of on the water navigation task--that would be cool! They have compasses...

The Romber checkin for the last leg is a lot harder to call.  There was no sun when they ran to the mat.  But it did come out during their chat!  And I can get orientation from the Volcan Orsono.

This shot was taken between 5:44 and 6:21 pm (assumes November 24th).

Nice t-shirt on ROB  :hearts:!! LOL

peach! maybe they have to cook lunch or stamp letters for tourists or even count flags or maybe climb the tower ? ( why can't I find a picture of that darn tower!?)

Since I hadn't had lunch yet, I wasn't thinking straight, so I got onto a small zodiac boat in the bay and continued south to Isla Redonda, a very small, very remote little Island that gave me some hint of what's to come. As you approach the island, the first thing that catches your eye are the birds. Everywhere you look, wings are arcing through tight curves against the cliffs. I spotted some cormorants against the rocks. According to Esteban, these are Rocky Cormorants. Who would have guessed? Before I concur with his classification, I'll have to check with one of Professor Rose's kids.

All this hard work made me hungry, so it was a good thing we came into the one-boat dock, where a short hike brought us to the post office/harbor master/restaurant/immigration office/banos of the island. The harbor is surrounded with at least twenty Argentine flags, just in case those pushy Chileans 500 meters South forget where the big boys drew the line on the map years ago.

Thankfully, Carlos, local chef extraordinaire and resident demigod of his own miniature empire, was putting the final touches on our soup and stew. After lunch, it was off to play on the cliffs overlooking the Island's harbor, but that's another story. Next stop, Cabos de Hornos ("Cape Horn") then we're off to that peaceful stretch of sea known for it's tropical breezes and calm seas called Drake's Passage

Fictional roadblocks:

"Intersect" in a hammock... :-[

play on the cliffs overlooking the Island's harbor (uh-oh--)

Who else wants to play???

And I've looked all over for that darn tower too---searched forestry and weather towers w/out success....
