WHEW! Jack is getting some rest tied up in that chair and will feel just fine for next week. Errrr...in a few minutes when he'll take on the Embassy and clear it out in seconds.

I am glad to see that Mrs. Buchanan was evidently sitting on a Jet Blue plane, and hasn't disappeared. I was beginning to wonder where she was. :yess:

BTW, I see Mrs. Logan is back, and so is her SS guard!  :luvya:

Rudy I haven't watched it yet, but I saw a preview and it looked pretty good, I think it is on Thursdays? I better check.  :js:

Would you believe Heroes is on the SAME day/time as 24?!!  Yup.  Mondays at 8pm MST (maybe the same time for CST?  dunno).  Anyway, my best friend tapes Heroes for me since I tape 24, cutting commercials.  I've taped nearly every Season from the Repeats aired
 on A & E & other channels.

Heroes is on NBC.

Time: 7:17PM. Audrey is dead! Died in China! DNA sent over... Uh huh!! (No.. she CAN'T be dead, she's next season's mission!)

Tick Tock Tick Tock!

7:59 PM, Jack has less than 1 hour to stop the VP from launching a missile and find the real mole because NO ONE accused of being a spy/mole in CTU is the real mole/spy, plus find the other two suitcases. Good thing he got some rest during this hour, he only had to land the drone in the last 15 minutes...

:o Breaking news! Audrey is NOT dead!  :o
Jack was given a number that would boggle anyone's mind and has to find a secure phone and call that 35 digit number within 10 mins or guess what! Audrey will be dead! (What is the definition of oxymoron again?)  ???

Just when we thought President whatever his name is could go take a nap because the nukes are safe and Fayed is swaying, now this! Whoever the writers are.. what happened? This was next season's problem.

I know, life isn't fair! He just got off a slow boat from China (I made this part up because it is better than getting off a plane from China..) he thought he was going to die, he found out just hours ago that his bald-headed brother and his father were rats. He's had to defuse a bomb, fly a drone to stop another nuke, cut off a finger, stop the Russian... beat up Fayad, pretend to be dead then recapture him. Now this!

As my husband pointed out, he even ran out of bullets tonight. That never happens! Not to Jack! I hope he can get a big Mac somewhere and some fries.

Yeh, where is Jack's dad and nephew?  The storylines seem rather fragmented on Day 6 and so many sub-lines.  I need to go back to the beginning of Day 6 to see what I missed and get a better grasp on it all.  It seems they're trying to crowd too much into one season...or am I just lost?
 :ninja
-------------
Starting yesterday and continuing weekdays,  A & E is finally re-airing the Day 4 eps I missed!  Yay!  Now I can complete Day 4.  Next, I have a few missing eps from Day 1.  I'll soon have my collection complete if the schedule stays the same!

Has 24 gone to hades or what? You can't make sense out of it.. except for whatshisname (hubby says to call him "boy") Jack's son. He has to be because he is nearly as clueless as his stepsister Kim. I mean, his grandfather is a mastermind of evil. Mr. Baldy was a mastermind clone of the grandfather and raised Boy and yet, it takes him 1 hour and 50 minutes to think of kicking the bad guy down the stairs. Jack cleared out CTU in less than 5 minutes and then chased Chang down and rescued Boy in less than 19 minutes!  :jam:

I remember now..
Jack: "Josh.."

Josh: "Uncle JACKKKKKKK..."

Jack: " JOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.."

Josh: " Uncle JACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!

How could I forget that last scene or Boy's name for that matter.)  :gaah:

Well this 'splains it all!

http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/05/03/24-producer-responds-to-criticism/

"Responding to criticism in a recent Los Angeles Times piece that this season's 24 is lackluster and that viewers are tuning out, a co-executive producer of the show said failing to chart out story lines and sending several characters to sleep with the fishes are largely to blame for this predicament.

"You try to keep things interesting, find new ways to tell the story, and unfortunately we wound up repeating ourselves somewhat," David Fury, co-executive producer told TV Week. "I still would claim that regardless of the quality drop-off that people are saying, the show's still very strong. It's still one of the best things on television."

Cripes if the writers don't know what is happening or worse, WHY, I can't be blamed if I don't either! I should offer to write a script. I think I could do it.

I'd turn Josh into a mini-Jack, Marilyn and Audrey into super women who could nah.. they are the weepy characters. Ok.. back to more plot development. Nadia is almost as good as Chloe in a pinch so she should have more air time taking out the bad guys. (Where DID Chloe go, she needs to stop moping over Morris and get back to what she does best! There  is nothing Chloe can't do given 3 minutes or more of work on the computer and if you cross her she can drop you dead with her revolver from 300 feet away .)

Morris has some promising features. He can still manage to take out bad guys and is just as good as Chloe on the computer, possibly better because he has worked for what 15 hours now with a hole drilled into his back?

Curtis, now, I really liked Curtis, maybe Jack didn't really kill him but merely stunned him and he will be revived by the crack physicians and medical team in the mini CTU ER.

I'm beginning to like VP Powers better than the President Whatshisname Palmer who never could match his brother and has mercifully disappeared along with his sister and her boy friend. (Where DID the boyfriend go? Anyone remember? Me either.) Let's keep the VP for awhile longer.

I'd keep that slimy weasel Tom. He replaces the need to bring back the loony Ex President's wife who will remain for quite a long time in the mental ward.

On to the plot. 6AM to 7Am. Jack finishes an excellent breakfast buffet because after 6 years of non stop pressure, he can finally eat something and at the same time charge up his cell phone. Then he will have time for a shower and catch 15 minutes of sleep before chasing after Chang to get his son/nephew back from the Chinese who have put Josh on the same slow boat to China that brought Jack back just about 24 hours ago.

Since the writers don't feel it necessary to map out plots I feel that I have done my work as well. All that is left is to find about 15 bad guys of some nationality or other, write in some creative ways to take them out and we'll have a better season of 24 than we had this year! If anyone has some suggestions plop em in.. I know we will do better than what was given us this season!

OH I forgot, we have to bring back Bill Buchanan to CTU because Nadia is available to be Jack's partner.

Love your Critique, TL!  Thanks!  I've been trying to figure out how Season 6 could be so fragmented & "lackluster" compared to past seasons.  You should send your script to Fox!

I really liked Curtis and hated it when he got shot, and by Jack no less.  :'( :'(  I bawled! (that was probably the most emotion I felt this whole season!) And I've thought like you...maybe, just maybe, Curtis is alive & by some miracle will show up alive before Day 6 is done.

Chloe not being as involved this season is disappointing.
Sad about Milo, but he wasn't a Fav in my book anyway.

I was hoping there would've been more about Josh and Jack.  Now, there's barely 2 hours to squeeze it into the Finale!  Or, it'll be a teaser?

Later,
Ruday

I wonder how they will tie up all the loose ends! Maybe Jack's evil father takes off with Josh to China and that will be next season's problem. LOL Do you think Chloe can redirect satellite's over China? (Piece of cake!)  :lol3:

Rudy do you suppose Jack has any more relatives, like another brother we haven't heard about? I think they have 2 more season's to go.

Chloe can do just about anything if they let her!  :jumpy:
I want her to be more involved next season, where we SEE her often.  Remember at the beginning of Season5 when she was out in the field with Jack?  I loved her being with him.  In fact, it would be awesome if Chloe and Jack got romatically involved!  She hasn't had a good relationship with any man...her ex, two b/f's, or any others.  Maybe she & Jack becoming a thing will happen at the end of the 24 series?  That would be rockin'!  :wohoo:  They'd be great together!
Have a happily ever after ending?  Would the producers indulge its audience like that?  ??? Or will they kill 'em all off!?  :groan:

TL, I hadn't really thought about Jack having more relatives, but maybe.  And there's plenty of time with two more seasons left, to reveal it all to us.

I sure hope Season7 is LOTS better than this one.

I do like the actor who plays the VP tho.  Great he's filling in the gap while "Prez Palmer" is back in acting school somewhere!  :lol3: :rotf:

I wish I had TV input on this computer so I could capture the screen caps that I have been seeing for the final tomorrow night. Chloe is on the floor, Morris is screaming for help. Jack caught Cheng but Cha-Ching says it is TOOOO Late. (I had his name wrong before, so I'll just call him Cha-Ching instead because I probably have Cheng wrong too!

I guess we'll know pretty soon Rudy! Less than 24 hours from now, 24 hours will be over and we'll know if Jack saves the day, Josh is safe, Marilyn is fixing Jack something to eat and Chloe and Morris have made up!  :yess:

Update: 4:48 AM  It is confirmed Josh is adopted. He can't possibly belong to any real Bauer, alive or dead.

Update: 5:36 AM  I'm now wondering why I am even watching this. Jack is on the beach with 24 minutes left and he is abandoning us? What channel is 2 and 1/2 men on anyway.  :knuckles:

The way Day 6 ended, there were too many closures.  I'm wondering if there will be another season even tho I think contracts for two more seasons have already been signed.

The finale was not typical of 24's usual endings.  There were NO cliffhangers...NONE!

The elder Bauer dies along with his cronies.
The Chinese guy is injured and taken prisoner.
Jack's nephew Josh is safe & reunited with his mom.
Chloe is pregnant.  If she's PG in real life also, will she return to CTU?
The VP & Tom arrange for the Buchanans to retire quietly in lieu of being exposed for going against orders.
Tom gives VP the tape with incriminating info.
Jack finally gets to see Audrey, but in a coma, which appears to be permanent.
Jack obviously in a state of shock after seeing her and the show closes showing him like that.  The look on his face is as if this was his absolute last Day to save the world, and he'll go start a new life with a new identity in some far away land.

What do you think, TL?  Was Season 6 THE END of 24?  ???
Was Jack's sad expression at the ending telling us he's had enough of saving the world?  Was he telling us buh-bye? :waves:

When the Judging Amy series was cancelled at the end of the last season's episode, there were NO prior announcements!  NO hints whatsoever.  It just ended and that was it.  It really left its audience dangling.

With 24, I get the impression they may have changed the endings to bring closure to the whole series.  (unless I missed something?)

The whole season was weird! Starting with Chloe... Didn't it start out that she had let some geek guy from CTU spend the night? Now she's pregnant? I admit though I had to laugh, she told Milo they needed to get back to work.  :lol3:

The last 20 minutes was a waste of time. I fully expected Jack to jump off the balcony onto the rocks! I did see Nadia in the preview for next January, a helicopter and Jack running on a ramp with a big gun... I dunno Rudy, it sure seemed like the end of a series, I agree.

IF it comes back this is how I see it.

The old geezer Bauer: I think he wasn't hurt that badly by Josh and rolled off the platform with the computer board and got away. If Jack and Josh could make it off the platform so could daddy Bauer.

Cha-Ching: CTU has NEVER held on to anyone they take prisoner. The crack ER team will fix him up and I can see him escaping first hour. (If there is one!)

Bill Buchanan cannot retire and certainly not on the East Coast. He has to be somewhere that would allow him to help Jack. Happened in the past.

Tom the Weasel. I liked him a lot, they need to keep him and the VP too because even before he was blown up the Prez was at least half dead as an actor. (Was he an actor?)  ???

Audrey: Well maybe in the next 48 hour session they can revive her but not the next 24 for sure. (I really expected her to wake up though, didn't you Rudy?)

We have Josh's mother for romantic opportunities, and we still don't know who really is/was his father. (However I still think he could have been adopted but he did manage to get the gun and shoot the old geezer.) Other women have come and gone though haven't they. Plot fillers.

We have the Prez's sister and her boyfriend who disappeared after he got the heck beat out of him.. Could they bring them back?

I can't even imagine who could be the bad guys though, we've gone through so many, but we do have Cha-Ching still alive with numerous little warriors who replicated themselves like they did in the Matrix. I could see one of them helping with the CTU escape.

The choices we make dictate the life we lead.

Yep, that's Chloe!

I don't recall her being w/ a geek guy at the Day6 beginning.  But in Day4's beginning, she was w/ a coworker at her apartment.
I need to rewatch Day6 to jog my memory!
(Started taping Day1 this week.  I've been waiting for the Day1 reruns forevvver)

I'll comment more later, TL.  My back is really hurting tonight so oughta go rest it.
Oh wow! I just realized this post will be one away from my 6000th!  :ninja

Congrats Rudy!

About Chloe, I'm so confused now, you probably are right... I didn't want to watch the first episodes of this season so I can't even check, I erased them all.

My hubby has a theory about the preview we saw for next January. Jack seems to be running along the ramp on the oil rig so he thinks it will start there and old Grandpa Bauer will roll off the platform or in some manner save himself. I guess the old geezer will have to do for a starting point.  :snicker:
