From what I'm reading
The West Point Museum is located directly behind the Visitors Center. The museum isi n the renovated Olmsted Hall at PershingCenter on the grounds of the former Lady cliff College. The grounds were purchased by West Point after the college closed inthe early 1980s.

( thats if thats where we are )

It's one of the houses in the first GE image I put up.

It takes 1 hour and 19 min to drive from the News Building to the Final Mat location

Maybe we can find the Warner house on Constitution Island ?

eta: Constitution Island is part of West Point, the United States Military Academy, a National Registered Landmark.

It doesn't show on some internet maps, but I found a google adaptation which shows Chateau's place as St. Basil's road, and the buildings are the academy.

wow, it sure looks like the finish to me. they don't look nearly as joyful as j/t r/k running to the mat. but then again, have they smiled much in the race?

good job everyone!!  :cmas23

Anyone notice how extremely "excited" Kim is as she runs to the mat?  She is showing the same physical reaction that a female tennis player does when she scores a big point or when "its cold outside, baby."  Could this be a sign that Kim and Rob are winning the race?  Or think that they are?

Can someone make us a map of where the teams are on Chateau's GE map or some other map? i.e. Tyler & James near the gravestone.
I tried and had an awful time  :cmas7 ..

Yea, Puddin, that's the view from the finish area.  Didn't you already say that a few days ago?

Too bad is was not sunny for the finish.  Because if it was we would have the arrival times in the bag!   :rotf:

So what do you think of the gravestone showing up in the St. Basil video.  It's at the halfway point.

And I am pretty sure it is located as I marked in the first GE image.  Because it is grassy arountd it, has trees behind it, should be prominantly placed out of respect for the who died.  They were going on about his great achievments with the Academy way back when.  His is in the blurry B&W picture that is near field and to the left.  What I'm saying is the spot I marked would be seen by everyone arriving at the academy.

If I have that gravestone correctly placed then I can propose a theory on the order of the teams arrivals:

T&J Are shown running past the gravestone toward the mat.
Bama and R&K are shown running in front of the modern housing units toward the mat.
Why are there such differnt approaches?
T&J used the obvious direct approach to the mat (the right fork in the driveway).
I think Bama and R&K arrived before T&J and took the left fork in the driveway because of production screening or direction (not just because they were lost).
Then, later on, when T&J arrived the production screen or redirect was removed so T&J could just get to the mat.

So here's my prediction:  T&J are 3rd.

But no one answered me a few days ago..on the Bamas finish-line chat picture.
I haven't sat through the video just yet..it kept cutting out.

:groan: From the get go I heard T/J win but my gut has been telling me that R/K win..which is fine because I don't really care either way.
I'll stick with T/J for the win though ..I can't picture it any other way  :cmas19 .
