The Giant Route makes me think of a parade. I had to dig back to 4 months ago when I posted the below. Good lord it's been 4 months since we talked about this episode!!!! This sounds like a good roadblock to me.
Yes, by route it may mean parade. When I looked up the giants earlier I read they have giant parades. Here is a link with a video for one in Bilbao. Could be the teams have to "be" one of the giants for a part of the route. Sounds like fun!
