Casting Call - The Amazing Race 12/11/06

THE AMAZING RACE 12 Open Casting Call An Open Casting Call is an event your local station holds for THE AMAZING RACE.

When you attend an Open Call, you will fill out an application and be put on camera there. You do not need to bring your own tape, and you do not need a copy of your passport. Open Calls alleviate the headaches and expenses of making your own tape, transferring it to VHS format and mailing it.

These events are also lots of fun. Meet fellow AMAZING RACE fans, make some new friends, enjoy. Your local station will send the tape directly to the casting department, where it will be watched by the casting team and treated the same as it would be if you sent in an individual tape yourself.

Ch. 5 to hold 'Survivor,' 'Amazing Race," casting call


WFRV-TV, Channel 5 will hold an open casting call for the popular CBS programs “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race.”


The open call will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec.27 at The 5th Quarter Sports Bar and Restaurant, 2101 American Drive, Little Chute.

People wishing to audition should visit wfrv.com or call (920) 430-3621 to sign up for an audition time. Walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis. Applicants should also download an application form from wfrv.com and fill it out. It is not necessary, as it was at past open casting calls, to bring a photo or a copy of a passport. Those trying out for the “The Amazing Race” will audition in teams of two. You must select your own teammate. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and be citizens of the United States. Please read the other eligibility requirements for each program at wfrv.com.

Production crews from WFRV-TV will videotape the auditions. Applicants will be given 2 minutes to tell the producers why they would be a perfect contestant on “Survivor” or “The Amazing Race

The CBS casting staff in Los Angeles will screen audition tapes. Semi-finalist auditions will be held in February or March of 2007. People making it through the second round will be asked to travel to Los Angeles in April 2007 for a final audition. If chosen to appear on either show, applicants would need to be available for the actual taping which is scheduled between June and August of 2007.
