Richard Hatch has been convicted of not showing his $1,000,000 Survivor grand prize on his taxes.
It could have been worse for Richard, however, jurors acquitted him of all but three of the 10 counts in his federal indictment.
In his closing arguements, federal prosecutor Andrew Reich argued that Hatch was greedy & that he didn't want to pay the taxes he owed.
On the stand, Hatch said that CBS was to pay the taxes on his winnings. When Survivor creator Mark Burnett took the stand, he said that Richard signed a contract that stated he was to pay his own taxes.
Sentencing has been scheduled for Apr. 28. Hatch, 44, faces a maximum 13-year prison sentence and $600,000 fine.
