Title: Survivor 8 in Papua New Guinea???

There are rumors spreading around the web that the officials in Palau have released a statement that Survivor 8 aka All Stars will not be filmed there. The reason for this is the longer than expected filming of Survivor Pearl Island. The most likely location now is PAPUA NEW GUINEA!!!

This location is extremely close to Austratalia and close to where Survivor: The Australian Outback was filmed.

The filming of Survivor 8 is scheduled to start at the end of September.

I don't get it.  If they couldn't film in Palau, why choose Papua New Guinea?

Because of its proximaty to Australia....it would be alot easier to get workers and supplies to Papua New Guinea then to take them to Palau

Actually Survivor 8: All Star will be in the Pearl Islands, Panama.

There are rumors about All-Stars being in Panama but o doubt theyd do it on the Pearl Islands again. I also heard somewhere that MB has booked the hotel on Contadorra island from September to December....so i dont know wats going on. Maybe MB is trying to trick us in to thinking that A-Stars will be filmed in Panama. For all we know theyre filming somewhere in Antarctica!

Thanks for all the info...but Griffe is a long time spoiler and knowledgeable on Survivor on other boards since S1.  I think Pearl Island would be smart.  Already know the area and with the different island there would be alot of different challenges that could be done.

I have a friend who just finished working (in June)on Survior-Pearl Islands...she just left again to work on Survior 8...she said she was going back to the same Island where they filmed Survivor 7...actually she sent a few pictures from there.  Now, unless she is in a different location and cannot tell me...I don't know.  ::)
