As they get closer to reaching the end of the race, the stress of traveling begins to wear down the racers on, "The Amazing Race 6," Tuesday, February 1 (9:00-10:00 PM) on CBS.
Some teams begin lashing out at each other as the stress of reaching the end of the race begins to weigh on their minds. Phil Keoghan is the host of the series.
Four teams set out from Sri Lanka and immediately make their way to Shanghai. In the middle of the night, one team gets lost in the streets and the stress of being lost causes tensions to rise between the two of them.
Also, another team's taxi driver misleads them, which could end up being a costly mistake.

Phil voice: ... while Kendra goes over the edge.
Kendra lets out a shriek while rapelling off a tall building.
Phil: And Kris and Jon get taken for a ride.
Jon, to cabbie: Hey, homes!! You're taking us in the wrong direction! Like 10 blocks in the wrong direction!

I'd say Hayden because once when they were driving she told Aaron he had to do something or she was going to Hyperventilate.

I know in the last episode we saw Kendra hyperventilating. But she was really scared while she was doing it, so I don't think she would make a joke about it.
So I agree, I think it is more like something Hayden would say. She is all the time getting onto Aaron for his lack of competitiveness and assertiveness.

I fear Lori/Bolo are out next, though I'd like to see Adam/Rebecca gone. But I think the previews showing them left behind probably mean they're safe. The fact that Lori bleeds time having to go back to get the right clue (or whatever) probably means they'll hit the mat last.

L/B are the most unathletic, muscle-bound people I've ever seen. They have less strength than people half their size and they're so SLOW! I like their personalities, though and I think they rarely fight with each other & stick up for one another when others get on their case.
But, they're kinda dumb and I think their mistakes (or fate) will catch up with them this time.

It's a safe bet that this leg will be non-elimination, if 4 teams go into the finale on Feb 8. In TAR5, Colin/Christie were Yielded in the final non-elimination leg. I wonder if the Yield will make an appearance in this leg? There's one Yield left, right? I hope they don't have a Yield when it's down to 3 teams.

Seems like a waste of the Yield to have it in a non-elimination leg (at least, this time, when there are only 3 Yields in the race). Not that I really like the Yield much anyway. It didn't hurt Freddy/Kendra, and the only way it worked on Colin/Christie was it blew their focus (the reason they lost had more to do with bad transportation and bad luggage decisions than anything). If anyone uses it, I would hope it's F/K who use it on Adam/Rebecca.

something to consider for the rest of the race. posting this a few places. with the new rule that no one can do more than 6 roadblocks, i decided to check how the teams were doing. please jump in and correct me if i've goofed. i'm only counting for the four remaining teams. there appears to be one team that has someone that has now done 6 roadblocks, adam. the rest are 5/4 split between the guys and girls.
we didn't have a roadblock in the first leg.
2nd leg, zipline, jon, aaron, kendra, and adam
3rd leg, hay bales, jon ,aaron, freddy, and adam
4th leg, lac rose, kris, haydon, kendra, and adam

Where you made your mistake, is on the 7th leg. Rebecca tore through the spicy soup faster than anyone!
Something I noticed, is that all the guys have done FIVE Roadblocks, meaning they can only do one more the last three legs. But with Rebecca having only done THREE Roadblocks, she could do all three of the last ones if she wanted to. And with her being stronger than Adam, it would not surprise me to see just that.

I can save you the trouble, Banzai. I know you said the other day that each team is only responsible for 1 episode title per season .... or something to that effect.
But this is at least the second episode title that Kris is responsible for this season. I remember back during the episode 6 titled, "They probably should have some conseling," that Kris is the one that said it, refering obviously to Dic and Vic!

For the TAR detectives: The AOL previews show the teams arriving in Shanghai at night. The only flights that leave Columbo and arrive in Shanghai at night leave Columbo at 7:10 and 7:45. I think it will be very early in the morning before they start the next leg. How are they going to get to Columbo? I just can't see buses leaving near the pit stop for Columbo at 1 or 2 in the morning.

Thanks for the clearer picture of Kris. I think it is smart to have Kendra and Kris do the task...hayden is afraid of heights and it must have been brought us since Kendra mentions her fright. ALso I wonder if Aaron and Hayden realize that they are now forcing her to do the last roadblock.

Thank you detective banzai ,(and the thanks to the detectives at Blows >|| ) its now layed out , so the cliff /diving thing isnt something the teams will do , likely its as simple as the teams maybe watching the locals or footage ..or something ..whatever .Any ideas on where ,what point , Jon & Kris have there Taxi driver communication breakdown/hype ?

Outstanding job with the map, Banzai. Just one comment. I can't find one flight from Colombo (CMB) that arrives at night at Hong Qiao (SHA). They all arrive at the new airport, PuDong (PVG).
Puddin, As for the cliff diving, Banzai's guess is that it could take place on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. A poster on another board guessed that it's near Galle on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. Either way, I just don't see how they could travel to either place in the daytime. They either fly over the cliff on the way to China or the cliff jumping is in China. Or, could the diving take place on the episode following this one?

As they get closer to reaching the end of the race, the stress of traveling begins to wear down the racers on, "The Amazing Race 6," Tuesday, February 1 (9:00-10:00 PM) on CBS.
Some teams begin lashing out at each other as the stress of reaching the end of the race begins to weigh on their minds. Phil Keoghan is the host of the series.
Four teams set out from Sri Lanka and immediately make their way to Shanghai. In the middle of the night, one team gets lost in the streets and the stress of being lost causes tensions to rise between the two of them.

If the Yield does appear this ep, correct me if I'm wrong, but A/R cannot use it (it can only be used once by a team) but anyone could Yield Freddy/Kendra if they wanted (a team can be yielded more than once)? I can't see F/K being Yielded, but I can see F/K Yielding A/R, or any of the teams who can use it to yield Kris/Jon.
The only thing about the CBS preview that says "could mean a costly mistake" is that CBS tends not to be that accurate. So I'm kinda thinking that the cab ride in the wrong direction doesn't end up hurting K/J that much.

I'm still puzzling over something I caught PinP during the BB game Saturday and I have not seen it since that one time. In almost every promo there is this shot of someone diving off a cliff, and it is a very awkward dive (legs apart and bent at the knees, big splash entering the water, and not the sort of dive a professional cliff diver would do) but where is this dive taking place? Since it is always shown before the plane landing at night in China I can only assume that it takes place somewhere in Sri Lanka. Now the one added shot in the PinP is that of Kendra coming out of the sea with one arm around Freddy (he has his blue scarf on his head) and one arm over someone with a green shirt but who does not look like anyother team member. Did Kendra dive off that cliff? Do all the teams have to make the dive? Looks pretty scary and dangerous for non professionals to attempt. So if anyone else has ideas, would like to hear them. In any case, what ever happens in Sri Lanka on the way from the pit stop in Sigiriya to the International Airport in Colombo won't matter much as I am sure everyone is going to bunch up once again at the airport and end up on the same plane to Shanghai.

I'm thinking that by "Costly" they don't mean they are mugged by Phil but that they end up having to pay a lot more for the cab ride and that could come back to haunt them later in the leg somehow or later in the race.
The main reason I don't think it's a Phil Mugging is that I no longer believe anything that the CBS webmonkeys claim to be important.

Well we have had misdirection and actual info from the CBS webbies...Wasn't there a comment about reading the clue wrong and it might cost them the race....it is cost Lori and Bolo.
I hope Kris and Jon are safe. But some how I do not think that Kris will have a problem beggign for money to help in the race. And she has a great smile so that may help them.

I think it's misdirection. Yes, they will be slowed down by the taxi but it wont cost them anything. I still think Adam/Rebecca will be the last team to arrive at the pit stop. I could be wrong, of course.

So, sounds like the final Yield appears. I'm kinda thinking F/K choose not to yield A/R. In fact, I don't think anyone uses the Yield. Doesn't sounds like something H/A or K/J would do, and I'm even giving credit to F/K for not wanting to be vindictive.

Wow jon/kris finnaly crack....but that could be some light to show they are in the race...not that everything is easy for them.
The brick carrying should be interesting....some have different amounts...do they have to carry a certain amount at one time or just get a certain number to the next place no matter how many trips.

That makes sense since we do not see Adam nor Rebecca doing the rappeling. There is a shot of the two of them entering an elevator of some building. So they could have been yielded and are now just entering to go up to the top after the othrs have completed the Roadblock. Justice has been had!

I think that the ocean jump is a flash back to the last episode. The jumping was probably observed when the racers went to Galle Fort to pick up a clue.
Look at the rock in one of Banza's screen caps and compare it to the rock on the left most photo on the middle of the page http://sriconnection.net/files/life_portraits_ruwan.php.

H/A Fan, I'm guessing that the ocean jump is a flash back mainly because of three things: (1) Gingerman28 posted in another forum that a screen cap of Kendra was from last week ,so the jump could also be from last week (2) the racers don't have time to go back to Galle before catching a flight to Shanghai, and (3) maybe the producers decided against showing a "fun" jump into the ocean in an area that was devastated by the tsunami.

Anyway, now that we're down to the final few episodes, I have to say that I am rooting for Jon and Kris...although at the start I would never have said that. Let's see if we can make some sense out of what we have been shown and told. First things first, all of the teams arrive at the Pit Stop in Sigiriya within a short time of eachother, only Jon and Kris have much of a lead. It is at best mid to late afternoon, so everyone will be leaving once again in the dead of night. The only flights I could find from Colombo to Shanghai that leave in daylight (we have a 747 taking off) and land at night (we have another four-engine plane landing) leave Colombo about 7:30AM and arrive in Shanghai via stops in Kuhla Lampur and Singapore about 9:30PM. So once again another great bunching occurs on the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival they may have to find some particular place at night with Adam and Rebecca and Freddy and Kendra getting lost.
Next we seem to pick all four teams up together at the Yu Yuan Gardens at the route marker. Here they probably are told to go to the Huangag (?) docks and do the Detour. It looks like all four teams have to carry a set number of bricks off a barge into a shed and pile them up in a certain way. It does not look like any team does a different Detour task.
Upon completion of this task they are off tot he Jiing Yin Mansion in the financial district. Here we run into the final YIELD. I believe that Freddy and Kendra (still smarting from the raw deal in Ethiopia) decide to Yield Adam and Rebecca. We see the other three teams all doing the Roadblock of rappeling down the tall building: Coming down the ropes are Kris (with Jon shouting encouragement) Aaron (with Hayden unable to even look at him dangling up on the wall) and Kendra (where oh where is Freddy??) It looks like Adam and Rebecca arrive inside the building ready to take the elevator to the roof, much after the others. They in fact may have been delayed at the brick yard, and then arrive to find that they have to wait still further before they can do the rappeling.
From here they receive directions to the Pit Stop. No idea where.
My guesses are that Haydena and Aaron arrive first; Freddy and Kendra are second; Kris and Jon are fourth and Adam and Rebecca bring up the rear. But never fear, this is a NON-ELIMINATION leg. Which was confirmed this morning on TES because although TAR was plugged several times, there were not mentions of the latest castoffs being on the Wednesday moring TES.
So be it for now.
