Title: Survivor 11 & 12 Get the Green Light
Post by: surviordude_JT on December 05, 2004, 11:08:07 PM
Survivor: "CBS has already gone ahead and ordered both versions for next year, 2005. Survivor 11 and 12 will happen, and we're scouting everywhere: Patagonia, southern Argentina, Mozambique--Madagascar is a hopeful--the Maldives, India, China, Papua New Guinea."

There are reports still lingering for 11 to be in Canada, North of British Columbia

Also reports linger that these are Jeffs last seasons  :\/  :':')  :(  :':')

Wouldn't S10 and S11 be in 2005 and s12 in 2006??  So far, there's never been 3 survivor shows in one calendar year.  Or, is that a typo error in the eonline article?  ?:)?

Jeffy moving on to bigger/better things, eh?  Colby would be a great replacement.  :)_|
Just don't let it be Richard Hatch!!  :(*8
Whoever it is...wahhh!!  :':') :':') I'll still miss Jeffy!  :-*

I thought Jeff was only signed through S10. What else would Jeff do? I am sure he is holding out for a good deal and probably some type of producer credit. Why can't he pull a Bob Barker (lol, Bubba's t-shirt) and stay for 30+ years?

I wouldn't mind Richard. I know he wouldn't let anything get past him at TC. I think he might even ask tougher questions.

it just maybe that Jeff wants to start a family ;;) ?

I wonder who he is starting that family with?  ;)  :)*

'Survivor' renewed through 2006 :D
Wednesday, December 15 2004, 12:28 GMT -- by Neil Wilkes

CBS has renewed Survivor for a further two seasons, the network announced today.

The news means that the long-running reality series will remain on air until at least May 2006.

The ninth season concluded last weekend and the tenth will premiere in the New Year. Creator Mark Burnett said the new installment would "shake up expectations" but refused to comment further.

CBS Picks Up Survivor Seasons 11 & 12

The 10th edition of Survivor won't premiere until February, but CBS has already picked up seasons 11 and 12 of Mark Burnett's hit reality show, reports Variety. The renewal means TV's longest-running and most-watched primetime reality series will stay on the air through May 2006.

Burnett promises season 10 of Survivor will once again shake up expectations. It's already been revealed that there will be 20 contestants rather than the usual 18.

"It's a completely new take on how to begin 'Survivor,' " Burnett added, declining to offer more specifics. The producer said a lack of network involvement helps keep all of his reality shows fresh.

Burnett is also preparing Rock Star for CBS this Summer, which will run an incredible 38 episodes in three months. His The Apprentice wraps its second season Thursday, while NBC's boxing series, The Contender, bows in late February. Burnett is also working on a new syndicated show for Martha Stewart.

basically, i'm writing episodes of a fictional survivor where 32 past contestants who were voted off before the merge are given a second chance to win the $1 million.

Heres some more news

"Survivor" Torch Still Burning

by Kimberly Potts

CBS is still carrying a torch for Survivor.

Although the recently wrapped ninth season of CBS' reality stalwart was far from the most popular installment with fans, who panned the contestants in newsgroups, the Eye announced Wednesday that it will try, try again, green-lighting Survivor for seasons 11 and 12.

a d v e r t i s e m e n t

The two new editions will air during the 2005-06 tube season. Mark Burnett, Jeff Probst and crew have already been working on the 10th season, set in the northern Pacific Ocean islands of Palau, which is set to debut at midseason with a record 20 wannabe Gilligans trying to outscheme each other for the $1 million grand prize.

No details have been confirmed for the 11th and 12th installments, but, as Survivor creator Burnett told E! Online's Kristin Veitch earlier this year, the production team has scouted locations include the Patagonia region of Argentina, Madagascar, the Maldives, India, China and Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, despite fans' disgruntlement over Survivor: Vanuatu, which concluded Sunday with Ohio highway construction worker Chris Daughtery as the newest reality-TV millionaire, the show remained at the top of ratings heap.

For the season, Survivor ranked as the most watched reality show, besting its biggest time slot competition, NBC's Friends spinoff Joey and Fox's The O.C., in every outing. Survivor: Vanuatu averaged 19.7 million viewers for the season, including the three-hour finale and reunion special on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in other Survivor news:

E!'s updated episode of E! True Hollywood Story: Survivor airs Dec. 19, with fresh interviews and coverage of all nine seasons of the show.
Survivor: The Australian Outback, the season in which crafty nurse Tina bested future Gillette razor spokesdude Colby, hits DVD on March 15.
And from the rumor mill, buzz is that Survivor: All Stars winner Amber Brkich and her fiancé, All-Stars runner-up Rob Mariano, are among the couples in competition on the upcoming seventh installment of CBS' The Amazing Race, which is scheduled to air next spring.
