During an interview on KIIS 1065’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning the sports star admitted that “when I signed on as the host I didn’t realise the enormity of it.”
“We’re away for five weeks and it’s just a full day every day. And I’m going to be putting everything into it.”
Beau then went on to reveal some info about the upcoming series.
“Casting is finished. Around 10,000 people applied. Everyone wants to be on TV and everyone wants to win money.
“We’ve got every culture and every state covered.”
But what about the countries the contestants will travel to?
While Beau remained tight-lipped, he admitted that he needed “six needles, [vaccinations] and four were for one country.”
Attempting to guess where some of the action took place, Kyle prompted: “so you went to Africa?”
“We’re going to wild parts of the world. I’m not allowed to say,” Beau teased.
The Amazing Race last aired in 2012 and was hosted by actor and presenter Grant Bowler.
This time around, the show will see teams of two travel the globe “from Shanghai dumplings to Outback dingoes”, competing in challenges to win a $250,000 cash prize.
10 has announced further names for its coverage of the Melbourne Cup Carnival including hosts Matt White and Roz Kelly plus reportage from Anna Heinrich, Kate Peck, Beau Ryan, and Scott Tweedie.
They join the previously announced Francesca Cumani (Racing Host), Peter Moody (Expert Commentator), David Gately (Form Expert), Michael Felgate (Racing Reporter), Caty Price (Racing Reporter) and Brittany Taylor (Horseback Interviewer).
Network 10’s head of sport, Matt White said: “A huge part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival is the fashion, the celebrity spotting and all the glitz and glamour that truly makes it one of the best events on the Australian sporting calendar.
“You’ve already heard about our incredible team of racing experts, and now I’m thrilled that we have assembled such a talented bunch of reporters to bring viewers all the colourful action from around the track.”
Coverage begins with Victoria Derby Day on Saturday, 2 November, followed by Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, 5 November, Oaks Day on Thursday, 7 November and Stakes Day on Saturday, 9 November.
Making her mark as Fashion Reporter is Anna Heinrich who along with Roving Reporters Kate Peck and Beau Ryan, will be covering all things celebrity and fashion in the world-famous Birdcage. Flemington’s premium marquee enclosure, The Birdcage is the playground of the rich and famous and is the place to be seen. They’ll also be dropping by The Park, home of Australia’s largest and most prestigious fashion event, Myer Fashions on the Field.
With The Park set for a stellar line up of entertainment, music fans and racegoers alike are in for a treat. Scott Tweedie will be on hand as Roving Reporter so viewers at home don’t miss a thing.
Lace up your sneakers and fasten your backpack. It’s not long until The Amazing Race Australia settles into its new home on 10.
Host Beau Ryan’s been doing his research and is ready to guide 22 Aussies across the globe. Grappling different cultures and working through language barriers are only half the battle when 11 teams take part in the adventure of a lifetime.
There will be no time to waste at baggage claim nor any champagne to be sipped in the lounge. Instead, the teams will charge full-speed through challenges and work their way through Roadblocks, Fast-Forwards, Detours and U-Turns.
In a race where every second counts, the first team to cross the finish line will take out a whopping $250,000 cash prize.
So pack a bag, grab yourself a neck roll and get ready for a whole lotta passport stamps.
The Amazing Race Australia. Coming Soon To 10 And WIN Network
Brief Promo during tonight’s Survivor final included teams kayaking (perhaps Mongolia), Tom/Tyler running for cabs and Beau in Mongolia and what looked like Seoul?
So exciting!
A first glimpse of The Amazing Race Australia coming to 10 later this month.
There are 11 teams this season, with host Beau Ryan and a $250,000 prize on offer.
Anybody want to hazard a guess which countries they visit?
It’s time to pack your bags and get ready to roam the globe. The Amazing Race Australia is coming soon to 10 and it’s the furthest thing from a relaxing vacation.
We call it amazing, but it’s also crazy, ludicrous, outrageous and adventurous. From painfully slow taxi rides to furious camels, our not-so-trusty tour guide, Beau Ryan, will lead 11 teams as they ping pong across the world in pursuit of the $250,000 cash prize.
In a race where every second and every step counts, you’ll need more than brains and brawn on your side. Some teams are even going as far as to call in a favour with the big fella upstairs.
Relationships will be tested, decisions will be second guessed and a meltdown or two will be had. So strap yourselves in and get ready for the race that has it all.
From couples locked in tense arguments, to frustratingly slow taxi drivers, the first taste of Amazing Race Australia 2019 looks far from a walk in the park.
Battling against the clock in bizarre, gruelling challenges across three continents, 11 carefully selected teams of two will put their relationships to the test in an effort to take home the $250,000 prize.
As the promo teases: “It’s no holiday”.
The diverse cast looks to include married couples, close friends, colleagues and even two Missionaries of God’s Love Sisters — who boast that they have the advantage of “the big fella on their side” while competing in the race.
Elsewhere in the promo, a young couple confess they’ll “lie, cheat and do anything” to win the cash prize, while another team faces an ill-tempered camel.
On two occasions, teams tackle the all-familiar Amazing Race obstacle of slow taxi drivers, doing their best to politely urge their driver to speed up without losing their cool.
As shared by the show’s official profile on Instagram on Monday, the program will be hosted by NRL star Beau Ryan.
“I’m really pumped to be hosting one of the biggest franchises on Australian TV. I jumped at the chance to combine two of my favourite things, people and travel. I can’t wait to get started. May the best team win,” Ryan told Mumbrella.
Announced in June, is the return of the hit reality series after a five-year hiatus.
The Amazing Race once aired on Channel 7, wrapping up after season three’s Australia v New Zealand race in 2014, with Melbourne nurses Daniel Little and Ryan Thomas pocketing the cash.
The Amazing Race Australia is coming soon to 10.
With THE AMAZING RACE AUSTRALIA branded as “coming soon” to 10 it puts host Beau Ryan on the PR trail, and this morning on KIIS-FM’s Kyle and Jackie O he may have accidentally revealed too much information regarding when the show will go to air.
When asked about how he was feeling Ryan said he was “tired” and that he “had another week of this (press for the show)”, and that he was “still doing voice overs every single day. It’s a lot of work, I didn’t realise.”
“We’re trying to get it (the show) ready for the end of the month because we’re trying to run off the 1.9 million Masked Singer are doing,” he said.
“So you’ll be replacing us when we end?” asked Jackie.
“Yeah, yeah that’s what we’re trying to do,” replied Ryan.
With the finale for The Masked Singer expected to be scheduled for 7:30pm Monday 21 October it would mean 10’s version (the fourth for the series overall) would launch 7:30pm Tuesday 22 October, with Trial By Kyle then premiering after the finale or following the series premiere of The Amazing Race Australia.
10 were contacted for comment, and a spokesperson confirmed the airdate “will be announced very soon”.
It’s a lot of work, I didn’t realise.
We have a premiere date: October 28 :cheer:
Oh lordie I hope not...once a week is plenty!
Would you steal from nuns to win yourself $250,000?
Meet social media influencers Sid and Ash. This Bondi couple are prepared to break some commandments to win the #AmazingRaceAU when it premieres on Monday, 28 October at 7.30pm.
There’s no denying Sid and Ash enjoy the finer things in life. From fine dining to luxurious holidays and endless upgrades, this lavish lifestyle comes at a cost, and what better way to bankroll it than taking out the winning title?
As former elite swimmers, the fashion-forward couple are used to hard work and early morning starts… and yes, those are his and hers Camilla outfits they’re wearing![/quote

That's awesome! Kudos to Channel 10 for giving a second life to a TAR franchise we thought was dead for 5 years!
Well, we've got 4 of 11 teams so far. They haven't dropped any more in a couple days :(
Tom & Tyler have been announced on the official FB and Instagram :cheer:
They deleted that one, the person must have realized they already posted one today.
Faux Foodies And Footy Friends.
Mum and Daughter Duo And Footy Mates Join The Amazing Race Australia.
Fierce Mum and Daughter duo, Rowah and Amani want to show the world just how strong and independent Muslim women can be…except when it comes to eating challenges.
Having the advantage of a life-long relationship, these two are up for the race of a lifetime, when The Amazing Race Australia premieres on Monday, 28 October at 7.30pm.
Like any good mum, Rowah is always there with a shoulder to cry on, and a glass of water to cleanse the pallet post food challenge.
Rivalling Rowah and Amani for the $250,000 cash prize are Melbourne based Tom and Tyler.
Whether they’re kicking goals on the AFL field or running through the streets of South Korea, Footy Mates Tom and Tyler only have one speed – fast. Shame the same can’t be said for their taxi drivers.
They’re used to victory on the footy field, but now the dashing and devilishly charismatic Tom and Tyler, will rely on their mental and physical strength to push past the competition, when they join The Amazing Race Australia from Monday, 28 October at 7.30pm.
Does it annoy anyone else that 10 are trying to pass off that this is the first TAR Au season? :groan:
Even the racers themselves are referring to it as Season 4 on social media!

A little, since Australia 2 is about the greatest non-US season that ever happened. Just because the network changed doesn't mean they should forget their past.
1 leg = 1 episode?
Because this season will be quickly over with this schedule then, lol. It will start 28 October and finish 3 December.
What the hell, they are REALLY late on spilling the last 4 teams. The show's only a week away now!
I always thought the norm was at least 2 weeks in advance of the premiere, so they have time for interviews and all that. Those poor racers...they can't tell people they're on the race until the show does first :P

Yeah, it sucks. I wish there was at least some pattern of revealing these teams... Like one per day or something.
This is last week and 4 team were not revealed yet. Imagine if one of these 4 teams is eliminated in 28th or 29th October episode. I would feel really bad for them. Only 10 or less days of "fame".
Only seven days to go!!! Who's keen?
There might be some useful information we can get from spoilers in the following vid! :0328:

Are you ready?
That's right, 10's bringing back everyone's favourite high-paced, high-stakes adventure reality show, 'The Amazing Race Australia'.
Beau Ryan -- TV's loosest unit -- will host the show, as we travel to every corner of the world and watch contestants do whatever's necessary to be the first ones at the finish line.
“I’m really pumped to be hosting one of the biggest franchises on Australian TV," said Beau.
"I jumped at the chance to combine two of my favourite things, people and travel. I can’t wait to get started. May the best team win!”
Here's the thing. They're still casting the show, so if you feel like you've got what it takes, you could be one of our Aussie hopefuls who takes out the $250,000 cash prize at the end.
You'd have to be a savvy traveller and a light packer, so no travelling like a Real Housewife!
You'd have to use every travel tip in the book and then some, and to be able to navigate planes, trains and automobiles as you race around the globe.
And finally, you have to be competitive. Like, really competitive!
The point is, it's going to be a blast, whether you're racing to the finish line or watching our contestants scurry all over the place from the comfort of your own home.
'The Amazing Race Australia' is coming soon, only on 10 and WIN Network.
The overnight ratings are in. TARAu4 attracted 635,000 viewers and ranked 8th for the day.

The first morning in Vietnam started off so well, with a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Mikayla and a general sense of positivity in the air.
The nine remaining 'Amazing Race Australia' teams were ready for anything -- at least, that's what they thought before a series of unfortunate events unfolded in their paths.
The smiles and the singing that took place outside the water puppet theatre soon made way for frowns and forlorn stares into the middle distance -- in some cases accompanied by a cacophony of spewing, cursing and general sounds of despair.
The day that started in Hanoi and ended in Ninh Binh really was all about Lady Luck and we've pinpointed some of the gorgeously tragic moments from the whole messy journey where she well and truly left some contestants in the lurch.
River Dragon Confusion
The psychological elements of 'The Amazing Race' means that panic can cause some teams to just copy whatever they see another duo doing.
The first team into the theatre didn't spot the vital written clues on the dancing dragons and instead, Femi and Nick, Sid and Ash and Rowah and Amani ran out onto the street armed only with the vague assumption that they might be looking for dragons?
"Do you guys know any river banks, I mean, river dragons," Femi and Nick hopefully asked a group of older women trying to get through their Tai Chi session.
Sid And Ash Get A Taste Of Their Own Medicine
Jasmin and Jerome made the decision to stick Sid and Ash's photo on the U-Turn post -- meaning the Bondi influencers would be slowed down by having to collect 100 escargot and complete that tricky rowboat challenge.
You might think that this doesn't count as a 'devastating moment' because the least-liked team (by fellow contestants and viewers alike) have committed plenty of sins against their fellow racers up to this point.
We're more devastated by the face that Jasmin made when Jerome convinced her to use the U-Turn against Sid and Ash because she just knows that the Bondi locals will try and unleash hell with an almighty payback.
Femi Made A Pun!
You can go ahead and file this under 'devastatingly funny moments' even though Femi and Nick were getting a little desperate in their search for temples adorned with river dragons.
"Lost in Hanoi, how Hanoi-ing," Femi said, which elicited a smile from Nick and was a great indicator that the nurses and besties aren't getting on each other's nerves.
Dumb Luck Stomps All Over Hard Work
Birthday girl Mikayla almost resigned herself to the fact that had died and her punishment in hell was eating rice for all eternity at this Ninh Binh restaurant.
So it was only fair that the girl who ended up eating 23 parcels of rice was a little miffed when Tom opened his first banana leaf package and didn't even realise that he'd stumbled upon a coin on his first try.
"Oh what the hell!" she yelled in between mouthfuls of dry, toasted green rice.
Mikayla was equally unimpressed when, many parcels later, the newlyweds arrived and Tim advised Rod to just "choose whichever one's calling your name".
And voila, there must have been a tiny parcel of rice screaming out, "ROD!" because the pair found their coin and were out of that restaurant without eating a single grain of rice.
The Mother-Daughter Love Between Rowah And Amani
Despite a shocker of a day that involved an ambiguous puppet show, a frustrating row across a river and the torture of Amani via some very dry rice, the mother-daughter pair stayed strong.
The only thing they fought about was who was prouder of whom and even though they came in last, they truly deserved the good news that it was a non-elimination leg. Phew!
'The Amazing Race Australia' Airs Mondays And Tuesdays From 7.30 pm, Only On 10 And WIN Network.
The 'Amazing Race' teams were treated to a Mongolian delicacy of fermented mare's milk which was... surprisingly fizzy.
Airag (Айраг) is considered Mongolia's national drink among the nomadic tribes and is made up of fermented mare's milk. Also known in some regions as kumis or lamekh (if you're up on your Dothraki), the drink was just one of the challenges Mongolia had in store for the teams.
Prepared through natural means, the mare's milk is filtered through a cloth then stored in a large sack or bladder with a wooden stirrer inside it.
Aided with a fermentation agent or a 'starter', the bag is kept near the entrance to the yurt or ger and is repeatedly stroked or bumped over several days to keep the liquid moving, prompting the fermentation process.
Similar to Kefir -- fermented milk -- airag has a sour taste with a slight fizz to it due to the carbon dioxide that's released during fermentation.
The teams had to finish an entire bowl and they definitely weren't expecting it to have such... shall we say "unique" qualities?
Sitting in front of two Mongolian elders surrounded by the Khongoryn Els sand dunes, Viv probably put it best when she said, "The fermented milk was... fizzier than we were expecting."
Femi and Nick were determined not to let the interesting qualities of the drink get in the way of the comfortable lead they had on some of the teams.
Agreeing on the game plan of "Stop your sooking and start sipping," the nurses chugged back their bowls of milk to continue on with the race.
But it was Jasmin who struggled the most, fighting back gags as she sipped down the bowl of fizzy, bitter milk.
"It was really challenging," she said, "I was so embarrassed that we had been invited into this ger and, here I am gagging on this milk that this family have provided us with."
Jasmin was not only struggling with keeping the milk down but was also apologising with every burp, retch and gag she did in front of the couple.
Meanwhile, Tim and Rod had a different plan.
"We just had to swallow our pride and swallow that milk," Tim said in his signature eloquent style.
While it may have a slightly confronting taste and sparkle on the tongue, airag is said to have a handful of health benefits and vitamins. Because of the fermented nature of the drink, has a low percentage of alcohol -- which is probably why teams looked so happy after they were done.
Well... most of the teams.
'The Amazing Race Australia' Airs Mondays And Tuesdays From 7.30 pm, Only On 10 And WIN Network.
As they raced between Zimbabwe and Zambia, our six teams received a surprise message from home to lift their spirits.
After completing a detour that saw teams either attempt to plough eight furrows in a field or build a section of a fence, the final six returned to their cars to find iPads with details of their next clue.
Each team had a recorded message from their families, giving them words of encouragement as well as the location of their next clue.
Before starting the race teams had to surrender their phones and devices, so these messages were the first time they had any contact from back home so far.
For Jasmin and Jerome, getting a chance to see their son was bittersweet as they had been missing him so much, but it also gave them the reminder of why they are in the race to begin with.
"This could change our lives back home," Jerome said of the race and its $250,000 prize, "we want to be able to build him a home, set him up for life. Winning this race is massive for us."
"Let's just keep racing our race," he added, "Let's not give up."
Tim and Rod's message from their mums also had them in tears.
"For them to say that they were proud of us just made our day," Tim said, "and just gave us that energy to fight all the way to the end."
Meanwhile, Tom and Tyler were getting a bit of locker room encouragement from AFL legend Paul Roos -- who just so happens to be Tyler's dad.
While it was a great surprise for a lot of the teams, they didn't have a lot of time to celebrate with their time in Zambia coming to a nail-biter of a finish on the first leg.
Finishing up at the Elephant Cafe along the Zambezi river, Jasmin and Jerome were fighting to the very last power-walk to get to the pit stop ahead of influencers Sid and Ash.
While the influencers weren't able to sneak ahead of the Deadly Duo -- luck appeared to be on their side with a non-elimination round.
But it looks like a rivalry is brewing and with both teams at the back of the pack, things are about to get interesting.
Networks try to keep a tight lid on the outcomes of their various reality TV shows, so it doesn’t help when your own network reveals major spoilers before a show goes to air.
And that’s exactly what happened this week when 10 Daily posted the outcome of Tuesday night’s episode of The Amazing Race almost 4 hours before the program actually went to air.
Outraged fans contacted TV Blackbox with links to a video which was easily accessible on the website. Not only did the heading immediately reveal which team were eliminated, but the video contained the final 5 minutes of the program, which had a nail-biting finale.
The clip, titled ‘Amazing Race’ Influencers Sid and Ash Eliminated left no question as to the outcome of the episode.
10 advises the error occurred because the wrong timestamp had been put on the clip, which makes sense as you can see by our screenshot.
It’s our understanding the video remained live all afternoon.
Since our enquiries the timestamp has been updated to reflect the time the video should have been uploaded.
10 Daily launched 2 years ago and after a slow start has gained momentum to now be one of Australia’s top 20 news websites.
Meanwhile, in a new twist the couple have revealed they have split up since completing the competition in an interview with TV WEEK;
"The whole environment of it [The Amazing Race Australia] is designed to create conflict,"
"It's an environment that can result in all this tension between teams."
Despite the pressure placed on the couple Ash says the show wasn’t the reason they broke up.
I didn't know where to place this, so it might be in the wrong thread.
Is there any way to watch this for those of us outside of Australia? Does anyone know of any links? Thank you!
Lot of penalties on Episode 10, apparently
https://twitter.com/amazingrace_au/status/1199055155775377410
At the most crucial point in the competition, the finishing places of the final three 'Amazing Race' teams were nearly decided on by a dog.
After landing in the Northern Territory and setting off on a scavenger hunt for newspapers and then jumping out of a plane, the finalist duos were given a roadblock with a mind of its own.
Jasmin and Jerome, Tim and Rod, and Joey and Viv arrived at a cattle station in Katherine and had to handpick a dog they thought looked most capable of working its way swiftly through a figure-of-eight course.
But just like Indiana Jones trying to pick out a grubby Holy Grail in a room full of sparkly knock-offs -- the ~wisest~ choice of dog wasn't the most obvious.
Jasmin and Jerome, then Rod and Tim arrived first at the lineup to survey a handful of pups with names like Fluffy, Smiley, Coco, Elsa, and Winks.
"Okay, who wants to come with me?" Jasmin asked, before revealing that her strategy was to go with an older, more experienced pup that might be "better trained".
But things didn't get off to a great start with her chosen dog Sarge, who looked less than impressed about having to arise from his sleeping position and get stuck into the course.
Sarge proved that he definitely didn't earn that name from a background in a police K-9 unit, bolting back to the gate as Jasmin tried to coax him around the course.
Tim and Rod were next to enter the "dog arena" and opted for another older dog with a sassy name to match, Fluffy.
"Come on, a dog named Fluffy has to be the best dog ever," Rod said, but the foreboding music told us otherwise and Fluffy was another FLOP.
"Fluffy, Fluffy, Fluffy, FLUFFY, COME," he said, to no avail.
A very frustrated Jasmin and Rod could feel their lead slipping through their dog wands (a stick with a plastic bag, we think?) and both made a fruitless eleventh-hour decision to upgrade.
By this time Viv and Joey had entered the arena and managed to see the spark in the eyes of our Hero Dog, Teddy -- who had been patiently sitting on his barrel the whole time, just begging to get tapped in.
Within what seemed like 30 seconds, Teddy bounded through the course and, in true 'Amazing Race' style, the frontrunners were now at the back and Viv and Joey had earned themselves a sizeable lead.
Slipping behind, the other two teams decided to jump on the Teddy-bandwagon and the young pup obediently raced around their figure-of-eight courses -- single-handedly changing up the leaderboard of the race.
Unfortunately, Joey and Viv blew their lead with their uncoordinated canoeing and eventually coming in third.
But for a hot minute there, a single dog was pulling all the strings.
