CBS Casting page: When do they film this upcoming season?
Casting finals will be held this July and early August, 2018. The filming dates for the season we are casting are sometime between October 15th and December 1st, 2018, for approximately 25-30 days.

I have a theory where TAR 32 will end, starting with season 26, the show has been visiting US cities that never got a proper finish from seasons 1-11. Then three seasons later they end in Chicago. The only ones that are left are Seattle, Phoenix, and Denver. I think TAR 32 will end in one of these three cities if they want to continue the pattern.

If the Starting Line is anywhere on the West Coast, then we should be looking at South America, Oceania and Asia!

Latin America already got visited four seasons in a row from the blind date season to the strangers' edition, so better to sacrifice it for a guaranteed Oceania visit.

Taiwan, Australia, and Oman have to be among the top countries inexplicably overdue for a revisit: none have appeared for over a half-decade.

You can’t always rely on the location ID for a post on IG. I recently saw someone post three different images, with three different places back-to-back within minutes.

I've never heard of Phil doing any location scouting or pre-race leg production, so I doubt his presence in Zambia means anything for TAR 32.

Curiosity question. Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. If you don't give out dates or times in advance for security reasons, how do the TAR detectives know when and where to go to try to get the spoiler information? Is there a back channel to alert them in advance?

They wouldn’t say it’s filming for one timeframe and then change it- contestants have to take time off work and plan around being away for nearly a month. I would assume they’d lose several teams based on the difficulty of adjusting all of that in such a major way
We are 3 days into the potential filming window- and have until November for it to still fit within it
Unless the filming of this season is scrapped entirely, expect for it to start soon

Just cause filming hasn’t happened yet, it does not mean it’s cancelled, first off Phil is filming something atm completely separate from TAR and second, we already were speculating end of October early November

Because even if there's dates on the application, they can still change the filming dates to whenever they want. And if a team that's been cast can't do the new dates, then TAR will just choose another team.

The application during the TAR 32 period mentioned a month and a half window for filming. A normal filming period once filming actually begins is 21 to 23 days. Plus a few days of sequester beforehand. Filming could start in early November and finish before the first of December. Also keep in mind most seasons start between a Friday and the following Monday, and tend to end on those days as well depending on the route.
Quit fretting. Most likely Phil may have finished his most recent National Geographic locale, and his most recent video was not geolocated but was a bit to mark the Stop Bullying Day where one is to wear purple, which was Thursday. The outdoor setting could have been anywhere and we’ve no idea when it was recorded.
In other words, Phil could be back already for the start for all we know. And sequester always takes several days.

Seriously, Occam's Razor says no such thing. Keep in mind Phil said not long after TAR 30 concluded airing that two seasons would be filmed this year, and there’s no reason to think he didn’t know what he was talking about.

Pardon my ignorance, but what the heck in Reality Clash? It sounds vaguely familiar, but googling it, I only find references to a video game by that name. I highly doubt a video game release will affect the TAR 32 shooting schedule.

Oh. Well, unless CBS says they are putting TAR 31 into a canceled show time slot in the next month or so and need Phil, Elise and BVM to do publicity, I don't see why they can't film in the next month or two. Even then, they could do some phone interviews from the road.

My turn to speculate. I have noticed a pattern in recent seasons that may be coincidence, but still interesting. In every season since season 21, teams have visited at least one country that has only been visited once before, and even now have only been visited twice!
Bangladesh (17 & 21)
Turkey (7 & 21)
Botswana (7 & 22)
Portugal (3 & 23)
Sri Lanka (6 & 24)
Denmark (19 & 25)
Philippines (5 & 25)
Namibia (2 & 26)
Peru (7 & 26)
Zambia (1 & 27)
Mexico (3 & 28)
Greece (9 & 29)
Iceland (6 & 30)
Belgium (19 & 30)
Czech Republic (15 & 30)
Zimbabwe (27 & 30)
Croatia (12 & 31)
I think this makes sense. Most of those countries hadn’t been visited since before season 10, so the newer seasons revisit them to give them a newer, better leg!
I think we can expect something similar for Season 32. I think we should look at possibilities for Costa Rica ( 8 ), Ecuador (11), Uruguay (5), Madagascar (10), Mauritius (10), Mozambique (11), and Seychelles (16), since a winter season would probably focus on the tropics and Southern Hemisphere (think season 22). In colder parts of the northern hemisphere that don’t have extremely harsh winters, we could see Ireland (12), Hungary (6), or maybe even Malta again (25).

I also would like to add that South America was visited in each of seasons 26-29, and Africa in all of seasons 25-31 (minus 28 of course). So it doesn’t seem fair to eliminate an entire continent (especially one with 54 different and diverse countries) just based on what happened in previous seasons.
On the contrary, going by precedent is the most objective approach.
The show's guilty of sloppily breaking its own rules as well with 29 failing to go westward as the patterns leading up to it.
