It is revealed by Redmond that S38 will have four returning players as Captains.

Who do you think will be the captains? The only thing I want is that there's at least two female captains, because Stephenie is the only girl captain of the history of survivor.
And the question is: Will there be four tribes with one captain each? Or two tribes with two captains (male and female) each?
And the last think is, wasn't Stephanie Johnson from Ghost Island on the reunion of her season because she was in Fiji being one of the captains?

I prefer all returnees season to some returnees as a captain 🙄. The newbies most likely see them as a threat and will vote them early

Except both Russel's, all the captains have made it to the merge, and some of them to the finale, being Boston Rob a winner.
I'm super happy that there's two girls and two males, and I'm guessing it's going to be two tribes with a man and a female as captains on each, and it'll be Aubry and Joe on one tribe and David and Kelley on the other.
I'm good with all four captains, but I was hoping for someone from an early season too.
At every season that has the captain thing I wanted a newbie to win (except Guatemala, I wanted Stephenie) because it's their first try, etc, but this time i'm sorry but it's not going to be that way. I don't care who goes, I want Kelley to win. xD
It's going to be risky because they'll have a huge target on their backs, and I hope they can pull it through and survive at least to make it to the merge. Please Survivor Gods, make Wentworth the winner of Season 38. PLEASE!

The thirty-eighth edition of Survivor is currently filming in Fiji and Inside Survivor has learned from a number of sources that the title and theme of the season will be Island of Extinction.
What does that mean? Why does it sound like the title of a future Jurassic Park movie? Are we going to see a literal Dodo on Survivor? All valid questions. Let me try and explain the best I can.
After each Tribal Council, the eliminated castaway will have a choice to leave the game or go to the Island of Extinction where they will have no shelter, limited food supplies and nothing but time on their hands as they await a chance to potentially get back in the game. They can choose to quit at any time. Basically Redemption Island but without the weekly duels.

I actually like it, although it keeps up the trend of ridiculous Survivor season, or 'theme', names

The question is: once they do the merge challenge where one will return to the game, the others are eliminated for good and be the pre-merge, or can they still fight for the day 37 challenge? Because will could easly have a 20 person finale and it would be just horrible.
And, this seems to be made for Joe... I just hope they break up with those themes and they just do a normal season. I miss that!

Yeah, and maybe it dies because of Fiji. Probst and production should know that, because everybody is telling them. I would prefer to spend some more money on other locations rather than angry and bored fans.
I don't care if they return to Fiji every 2 seasons, but at least 2 on any other place inbetween. Like: 2 in Fiji, 2 in Honduras, 2 in Fiji, 2 in South Africa, and so...

I don't understand their cast selection!
Kelley Wentworth: definitely deserves to be there! She is the present day Parvati Shallow mixed with Amanda Kimmel! She should be a four-timer (so should Andrea Boehlke)
Joe Anglim: Why? Starting to think they bring him back to see if he can set an Individual Immunity record! And with this new "twist" he will get back in every single time! It would be the same as if they made all the RI challenges in 22 puzzles so Boston Rob would come back!
David Wright: Meh... Sort of excited to see him but not really. He has potential and hopefully will make great moves again (i think he'll be an early boot)
Aubry Bracco: We saw u in Koah Rong go all the way, again in GC make F5. Do we need to give her another chance? She can't win because of her lack of social game! Should be replaced by Cydney Gillon!

I also expect to see 39 do the same thing if it's following the same pattern of RI!!! That would then lead up to an epic 40th season let's hope with possibly HvV2 or Legends or All-Winners/All-Stars!!!

I am hoping they do 4 tribes of five picked by the returnees cause that would be interesting! Anyone know if we have anything about this??? Two tribes seems boring.
According to Redmond there are only 18 players, so likely two tribes. However I could see them doing a first impression vote and send two people to redemption immediately (such as blood vs water) and then do four tribes of four.
